I refuse to see your perspective until you bring a link that details everything that led up to that point.

You don't know if that's what those ones even requested for. You're here crying more than the bereaved. Give a more detailed info of what went down and stop using pictures and bias writeups to rile up people's emotions and sentiments for your selfish political gains, or the political gains of your paymasters.

It makes you come across as very unintelligent.

Lol... They saw tomorrow.

So many retards.
Please ask them if it's all rosy over there for them.
This crazy defeatist mentality ain't doing y'all any good.
No country in the world is doing much better at the moment, forget all the nonsense you're imagining in your head.
Maybe ask them for some assistance and hear their response.

Once a country is filled with lazy entitled b*tches that can't take any responsibility, statements like the OP's is bound to always pop up.
People in the same Naija are building houses and buying new rides daily without being in government or doing crime but of course, let the lazy doomsday prophets keep at it.

If you receive a message that you just 10 million but need 1 million deposit to clear it.
Do you rely on your personal experience to accept or reject such deal or the unwarranted "fear mongering"?

If in a public transport someone mentioned they have a bag filled with dollars
in the booth to be shared by willing passengers.
Do you rely on your personal experience to join or reject the sharing party or people's "fear mongering"?

Suppose you were paid via transfer for a goods or service.
Do you just accept the SMS alert as payment evidence or you go for secondary verifications
based on "fear mongering" that the alert might be fake?

I'm not sure I understand what you want to achieve with your questions and the "scenarios" you're painting, but there's a difference between being security conscious and just being an absolute douche because some idiots have painted some worst case scenarios.

So I grew up hearing weed smokers are touts and criminals, should I start running when I see any weed smoker? Where's the common sense in that? If you can't use your discretion and give every situation a blanket reaction, then there's something wrong somewhere with such person.

You keep trying to justify this rubbish, but have you considered the harm it brings to the very fabric of human relationships and co-habitation especially in a country whose unity is being held together by a very thin thread?

What if the person that wants to use your phone has a real emergency? Will you watch people suffer or possibly die due to your paranoia? I'm sure you'll invent ways to justify such heartless and unwarranted reaction.

Nigeria is in the deep mess it's in today due to the government's knee-jerk reaction to every problem. Like a yoruba adage says, "cutting off the head is not the solution to a headache".

I'm not disputing the fact that such situations may occur but the solution is not to outrightly reject a person because you read of something online.
The person I quoted first said he eventually got someone to allow him use their phone but they insisted he put the phone on speaker, now that's a solution right there rather than the paranoid "not my concern" stance you people keep suggesting.

This is how people get falsely accused in public and would have been lynched before people discover it's due to the paranoia of the person that raised the alarm. Unfortunately, the harm is done already by then.

Tokskob2008:

No it's not..... I had an experience at computer Village Ikeja last year close to this.

My phone went blank overnight and I had to go fix it, my junior brother gave me the phone number of his engineer friend and asked me to call immediately I get to the market so he can come pick me because I wouldn't get the guys office no matter how hard he described (people who are familiar with computer Village understand what I'm talking about) it for me.

I got to the market with just a piece of paper where I had written the number plus my blank phone, now how do I let the engineer know I'm already in the market without a phone to call him

I spent more than 1hr begging everyone I saw just to let me make a 20/30secs call on their phone but no one accepted. I even bought airtime incase anyone said it's due to lack of airtime but they all gave me the same reply, " I don't want police problem"

I was about to give up and give the phone to any engineer I could see around when I finally approached a young guy I saw making a call, he looked at me somehow first then he accepted on one condition, that is I put the call on speaker for everyone around to hear which I did....

So you see now it's not just about unnecessary fear mongering but the reality on ground this days...

You just proved my point.

Everyone has been told such stories and became fearful in a situation that didn't even warrant it.

There's no reason for their action other than they were told this, or they heard that, or someone said this and that.

Religion / Re: Why A Private Jet Is Necessary For General Overseers by erad(m): 9:46am On Sep 01
Justifications like this is just irritating.

Those nations where you have branches, don't they have other indigenous churches there?
Why spread your wings so far and start unnecessary justification when there are other churches that exist in those places?
Of course, every other church is inferior. Or is it a case of the church having a need to expand it's "business" for profit purposes?

I really don't care if any pastor owns 50 jets, your business. My problem is trying to justify it. You won't need a reason to justify it if you thought for a second that you were doing the right thing.

You always know where to dig out all these stories to support your biase.

If it was the other way round and a believer lost the battle even after seeking the face of the Lord constantly, you'll probably say he lacked faith. You won't say God failed him, you'll blame him. Double standards and hypocrisy.

I see a whole lot of ignorant comments here talking about ai this and that.

AI is a thing, but it's pretty easy to tell the difference between real digital art and ai generated art if you have any design knowlege.

One was talking about codes blah blah blah. Lol.

AI will give you vector art, but the lines won't be clean. His lines are clean and you guys are mistaking pixelating lines with ai generated lines.

Depending on the software being used, lines can be pixelated when the image is zoomed into or scaled upwards. That wouldn't have been the case if he used a vector based software.

Apparently you’re not a Catholic and know nothing about catholicism

I was about asking the same question.

People that their families abandon sometimes because they hardly have anything to contribute financially since they don't make much.

It's crazy how people will have a warped opinion and believe it for so long that it becomes a fact to them.
Phones / Re: Philips Mobile Nigeria - Finally Launch ( Essence 10 ) Into Nigeria Market by erad(m): 7:51am On Aug 24
I'm sorry o, but in an age where one complete side of a mobile phone is a screen, what sort of innovative designs are you people looking for?

For the cameras to be on the side or the fingerprint scanner to be on top? I don't understand. If you don't like this, buy a flip or fold phone. But yeah, you can't afford it so shut the hell up and use what you have. No one is forcing anyone to buy anything. Y'all should stop shitting on people's hard work and investments all because you can.

It's easy to say thrash about something you know nothing about or have a stake in.

The president is supposed to know who he is appointing.
That's why he was "voted" for.
To make good judgement on behalf of Nigerians.

If he doesn't know about his high-level appointees, then it's even worse.
It means he is clueless, and he has no business being president.

I don't think I've read it anywhere that the said man is one of Tinubu's appointees. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong.

If that was the case, my initial statement will be invalid.

I honestly will never understand posts like this.
Is the president supposed to know everyone's business?

Events and circumstances bring people together and pictures get taken, why should one person in the picture be held responsible for the actions of another person in the picture.

Nigerians really need to be smarter and stop chasing shadows. Ask the right questions and do the right research rather than wasting unnecessary time on frivolities.

Romance / Re: My Wife To Be Drools A Lot During Sleep by erad(m): 6:54am On Aug 16
This stuff isn't really an issue, just needs some commitment on your part.

You'll need to start breaking up your sleep time. Wake up more frequently to check on her or better still, let her sleep with her head on your arm or chest and once you feel the drool, tap her to change positions.

Over time, she also will unconsciously start changing positions by herself and that will greatly minimize the drooling. It's not an immediate solution but it works.
