Music act, Paul Okoye of the P-Square fame has once again taken to his Instagram page to mourn the demise of their mum, Mrs. Josephine Okoye who passed on in July 2012.
The singer shared the photo of their late mother with the caption; “I wish you were around. Now I understand what these life is without having a mother.”
You will recall that late Mrs. Josephine Okoye passed away on July 11, 2012, after a brief illness.
In a thrilling twist, photos of Peter Okoye performing as a solo artist under the name ‘Mr. P’ has surfaced online. Reports have it that the singer performed at a night club in Abuja on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Peter Okoye’s solo performance happened few days after he dropped a solo single christened ‘Look Into My Eyes’. A further check on his Twitter page shows that he has removed all links to P’Square as he continues to share promotional materials about his forthcoming performance billed for Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Dubai, UAE.

There are indications that iconic pop duo, P’Square have settled their rift with urban music and lifestyle television station, Soundcity TV.
You will recall that in September 2015, famous Nigerian music duo, Psquare and Soundcity TV were involved in public war of words via microblogging site, Twitter.
Soundcity TV at that time blacklisted P’Square and stopped airing videos and other materials by the pop stars since January of that year. According to them, they had invited the singing duo to an event but they insisted that the Music station, pay a certain amount of money.
In P’Square’s defense, their manager and elder brother, Jude Okoye, openly called out the management of Soundcity in a series of tweets.
However, recent indications shows that the erring parties have reconciled after Paul Okoye, a member of P’Square took to his Instagram page to share photos of himself and Soundcity’s Channel manager, Olamide Adedeji. Popular media personality, Toyin Ibrahim who works with urban station, Television Continental (TVC), survived a robbery attacked yesterday, March 9, 2016.
Toyin Ibrahim reportedly boarded a commercial bus at Ketu bridge heading towards Berger-Magodo in the early hours of yesterday, March 9, 2016 before notorious commercial bus robbers, popularly referred to as ‘one chance’ attacked her and four others dispossessing them of their valuables.
Ibrahim, who is currently being treated at a hospital in Magodo, Lagos disclosed that the criminals attacked them barely two minutes after entering the bus, collecting the phones and cash. She added that they also took victims’ Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards to withdraw money.
In her words, “two minutes after the vehicle took off one of the robbers began to hit me. He asked me of my ATM pin number but I gave him a wrong number. When they tried the numbers and discovered that the pin was a fake one, they descended on me, hitting and booting me with their heavy shoes.”

Fresh from signing a mouthwatering deal with international music label, Sony Music Entertainment, pop sensation, Davido has floated a new record label.

Aptly named ‘Davido Worldwide Music’, the need to float the new record label according to the ‘Aye’ crooner was necessary following his new recording and distribution deal with Sony Music.

Speaking with ERAVE on the new project Davido disclosed that he cannot sign any international deal without a verifiable and known company.

“I cannot sign an international deal without a company. Since I cannot sign as Davido, I registered the ‘Davido Worldwide Music’ label. It is a company managed separately by myself, my manager, my executive producer and HKN for my international endeavours.”
“The Sony deal doesn’t affect HKN label in any way. Sony Music relates with Davido’s new record label for the international market. Don’t go and write Davido leaves HKN because I don’t want my brothers to come after me,” he added jokingly.
You will recall that Davido penned a music deal with Sony Music in January 2016. The 2 album deal is a recording and distribution deal which will allow for the publishing and global distribution of intellectual materials from the ‘Skelewu’ crooner by Sony Music Entertainment.
His label, HKN Gang which he co owns with his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke is home to music acts such as Sina Rambo, B-Red, Danagog, Deekay and the newly signed Mayorkun....

Afterwards, they (Sony) told me they were not interested in Africa. They said I can have that (Africa) and do whatever I want with it. About eight months ago, I then said since I still had my Africa I had no problem signing the deal,” he added.
On how he secured the deal, Davido who retains the right to his music and performances revealed that he consulted with renowned entertainment lawyer, Joel Katz who had represented global stars such as late Michael Jackson, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and more before opting to put pen to paper. “He explained to me that I should look at the bigger picture. I owe my licenses and masters 100 per cent.”

Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, who survived bullet wounds following an attack in December 2015 held a thanksgiving service on Sunday, March 6, 2016 to glorify God for sparing his life.
The thespian was flagged by friends and other well wishers inclusive of his father, mother and son, Sean.

In his reaction, Dele Momodu in a chat with popular lifestyle magazine, City People disclosed that Davido had attacked him in the past and apologized. “You know several times in the past, he will attack me and apologize. I understand how he feels. He feels I am supporting my cousin against him and that is not it. All I wanted was just peace and I am happy we got it.”

Nigeria’s telecommunications company, Globacom has issued a statement to take an official position as regards severing relationship with popular award winning duo, P’Square. According to the statement released by the telecoms brand, the company disclosed that Psquare remain brand ambassadors for the telecommunications company.

The company said P’Square had been among its leading brand ambassadors since 2010, adding that the relationship had been mutually beneficial to both parties. “We have not disengaged P’Square or any of our other ambassadors. We are currently in the process of reviewing our contracts with the brand ambassadors. We are proud of the role Globacom has played in the rapid upward trajectory of the musical career of these incredibly talented twin brothers,” the statement read.

“Globacom has also played a similar role in the exposure and economic empowerment of all the Nigerian entertainers, and others from neighbouring countries, who worked with us as brand ambassadors,” the telecom operator stated.

On his most embarrassing moment: During my University days, I was cracking a joke and the audience were not laughing. They eventual booed me off stage and I felt very embarrassed. Things like that happens when doing stand-up comedy but I know well know. I don’t allow that weigh me down.
On cracking a dry joke: It is normal. it is either the audience is more than the joke or the other way round but the best way to go about it is don’t let it affect your performance. You have to work harder to improve your craft so you can get better. I don’t let things like that make me feel bad. I keep pushing, and trust me it helps me in a lot of ways. Consistently, through the years, the brothers have used this format which works for them very well. It doesn’t matter if the controversies created hurt their personal image. It’s all about the image and the money and that never fails to flow.

Reports have it that multiple award winning actress, Funke Akindele is set to take another shot at marriage following the proposal of pop sensation, Abdul Rasheed Bello better known as JJC Skillz.

You will recall that ERAVE earlier reported that the thespian and JJC – who was once linked with ace actress, Kate Henshaw – were an item.

According to reports, JJC recently proposed to Funke Akindele while on set of her comedy TV series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ in Lekki few weeks ago. The actress was reportedly moved to tears when JJC went down on one knee and presented to her a beautiful ring.

Talented comedian, Buchi has grown to become one of the finest exports in the Nigerian comedy industry since he made his bow several years ago.
In an interview with ERAVE, the comic character disclosed that Nigerian comedians don’t charge each other for shows unlike the counterparts in the music industry. “To us comedians, comedy shows have become ‘osusu’ (contribution) where everyone of us will contribute our quota for another comedian. Nigerian comedians don’t charge each other for shows which is why you will see many comedians perform at a comedy event on a single night unlike the musicians who pay to have another singer at a show.”

On his semblance with US rapper Meek Mill and why he cracked a joke relating to the music act, Buchi said “people keep saying that meek mill and I share a certain resemblance and I really didn’t take note of it until someone did a picmix and sent it to me. I decided to do a joke about him during an event and it turned out fine”.
