Giving my baby pap n cereal is war but she loves normal adult food,so I prepare to her texture e.g she loves potato ,carrot and chicken cooked and mashed together, swallow(amala, plantain n rice flour) with crayfish fortified ewedu/okro, Apple and banana puree mixed or separate, avocado, egg york, beans(without back) n basically anything... so u can try normal adult food just blend/mash for her age.

OloriAbefe:
Afternoon house.
Pls, I need suggestions as what to be giving my lo.
She is 7month now, but all she takes is pap. Just PAP.
I tried mixing the pap with nan2, but I just wasted my money, lo refused it .
I was advised to give cerelac, lo didn't take it either, in fact she vomitted the all her stomach yesterday.
I gave her custard, she took it a lil, she really do not like it as much as pap.
I really wanna start giving her varieties but I'm short of options.
What is notice is DT creamy food irritates her somehow (I might be wrong), but the face she makes anytime I mix baby milk with her pap or custard is like YUCK! .
I would have tried tom-brown for her, but we don't take "JERO" ( I don't know if it's millet or guineacorn) in our house.
Pls house, I need ideas abt what and what to grind together to start feeding her with that won't include "jero" and will Also give her all the vitamins she needs.
And I just got a juicer, what kinda fruit juice should I start giving her and how often should I start juicing fruits for her.
Thanks.

It's perfectly normal, my baby is 7+months n it Still happens to me...best solution is to get breastpad(disposable or reusable) n alwysss wear . ..I still wear mine evrydy even at night too sef else it's inside breastmilk I go sleep.. grin grin

myrygurl:
So we are 3months+ already, I thought this should have regulate by now...From all indication I don't see that coming..Mayb until some maamas here provide good solution to my predicament (I pray).
The issue is anytime am breastfeeding lo from one side I will just feel one kind of sensation the next thing the other side will start leaking... I can't confidently breastfeed when am on an outing without looking for how I will try and use a bottle or towel to collect from the other side..I do see maamas breastfeeding confidently..They will just flip it out and feed lo..But me I have to arrange something to absorb if not once she put her mouth the next thing I will start having that sensation that leads to leaking... I don't know if its a problem am facing..

Ur solutions is highly welcomed.. tnx

Yeaa I have thermometer at home, came to greet my aunt for some days ni....will go out to get one today to monitor her...Thankss
Prettyhurts:

Thermometer was among my hospital list and they sang it in our ears to have it at home. You can't know the accurate temp by touching, She may still be running temp or may not. Buy the thermometer (bought mine for 400 last year), check her temperature again in the afternoon and compare it with night own(if is above 37 please see her paed).
Please continue administering the para every 4-6hrs and don't over dress her.

There's this old wives tale that running temperature at night is malaria lipsrsealed

Mornin mamas ...please has anyone experienced this before....Thursday night my baby had temperature(very hot) all through d night but slept well,in d mornin d temp disappeared tho she was cranky n clingy all day but she was okay thru out d day until past 1 am last night d temperature was back n up till now she is still hot. ..I'm at my aunts so no thermometer to check d temperature....my aunt is saying it's teething (her 2nd tooth is coming out, although d 1st came out with no drama) dat it will stop but me I'm worried n wld like to take her to d hospital..

Not always true ohh...my baby is a testimony to dat,did EBF for full 6months n the 1st time I gave her solid (banana puree) she took it wellaaaa....everyother meal I have introduced to her as bin a win-win even ewedu n she loves water too...we are 2 weeks post ebf n she hasn't rejected any food so far grin

Yesitsme:
mothers who plan EBF for 6months are always adviced to gradually food in bit in their babies mouth as early as 4months so that they can get the taste of other meals aside breastmilk. Since their tastebud is only use to breastmilk, it's difficult for them to eat when time is right....U have to be patient with her til she is able to eat. It's not easy but u have to

My baby is 7 months....here's our schedule.
We breastfeed in the morning till 8am when I leave her to go t work.

For her creche, I pack 1 formula milk feed, 2 solid meals and 1 pureed fruit (not everyday but I try to do this lyk 3 time a week). I pick her by 5pm and we breastfeed in the evening and I give her a bottle of milk b4 she sleeps.
This is basically for weekdays...

For weekends, I freestyle since we are together all thru....
But I always ensure that she gets a bottle of formula and breastmilk everyday.

Change his diaper more frequently(2-3 hours) maybe..wen my baby was around dat age ,any diaper past 2,3 hours gives her rashes...u can use baby tribotan for d rashes, works fast..

Obideekeh:
Good morning moms! I need advice. I just noticed some rashes on my LO's thighs and just above his peepee. He's 3 weeks now, and his circumcision has healed completely. I ruled out diaper rash cus I change his diapers at least 4x everyday (night inclusive). My mind tells me it may be nlacha, but I have no idea what that looks like.

If it is nlacha, can palm kernel oil solve it? He's still too young for creams (Jos is cold!!) so we still use vaseline blue seal. I'm confused as to whether to mix it with skineal or some other topical ointments.

Pls help?

Giddyperson:
Hi @hunniesuzzie, Zaynie, any mama that knows

My baby would turn six weeks by Thursday Next week and the PHC said they do immunization on Tuesdays. Should I take the baby for her 6 weeks immunization on Tuesday even tho she'd be 2 days shy ( would that matter) or do I have to wait for the upper Tuesday when she'd be almost 7 weeks.

Pic of d hand blender plsss....was actually thinking of buying d nuby blender

AlphaHandMaiden:

I so agree with you!, like 2 years ago i had gotten the nuby babyfood blender/ steamer set for a friend and was thinking of getting one for myself, but no space to put it so i started looking at all the gadgets i currently own! and voila, gathering dust at the back of my cupboard was my hand blender.

It is ideal for small quantities. you can easily blend / purree one or two portions to a very smooth consistency, you don not need to add to much liquid and you do not need to fill it till half for it to blend well.

when i discovered it, the way i felt ehn! you will think i discovers a pot of gold in my backyard! grin

all i use is my largest mug with high sides with a piece of kitchen towel over the top of the mug to reduce splashes..... Done! grin

Tnxs alots, will reduce d washing to once....it's only shea butter I apply on her hair normally.. will check out d IG page... thank uuuu

MetroTee:

Hi eribooboo... sometimes the reason why their hair chops is from excessive dryness. And washing the hair too often contributes to this. Try limiting wash with soap to once a week. You can wet other days. Then shea butter/coconut oil to massage the scalp. That will help stimulate growth.

Are you on instagram? Check out @munaluchi Lots of helpful tips. The edges usually chop first because they are more sensitive
