Our(hubby n i) visa interview today in Lagos
Vo- good morning
Us-good morning
Strted typing for almst 2-3 mins
Vo finally looked up n asked, how much was ur medical bills for d last birth
Me- about 9000
Vo-vaginal or cs
Me- Cs
Continued typing again for another longggggg mins
VO-sir,where do u work
Hubby-told her
Vo-n u ma'am
Me-told her
Vo-SO WHY R u going to the us dis time around
Me-going to have our 2nd baby
Vo-SO same Houston right,which hospital
Me-yes Houston...memorial
Vo-how much
Me-roughy 12k
Strted typing again for wat seemed like eternity
Vo- I'm gonna approve ur visa cos u were bin honest n straightforward abt your intentions althou d amount u paid previously was quite low cos d average fee shld b abt 18k but u guys paid abt half of dat so I'm gonna let it pass and since now u r willing to pay more than previous fee,i like dat n will consider that althou i will advice u look for another hospital cos this particular one has bin flagged for giving discount dey claim bck frm d government so to avoid issues with renewal later please look for another facility n try to pay above d 12k u quoted. Gave us d white paper n said thank you
Us-thank you n almost ran out sef

Nothing was checked at all...

We qualified for Dropbox but decided to just book for interview since most dropbox applictions hv bin ending up with 221g so I guess dats one of d reason why she said we were upfront n straightforwd abt our intentions..dont know for sure but guessing that counted n above all it was just God's favour cos there were abt mayb 5 white paper n huge stack of blue on d table.

FloraEC:

The kind of advice you people drop on this thread nawa shocked
My daughter started school 22m, I'm a SAHM
She learnt many things, she can socialize, count and write 1-10, recognize some colors, say Aunty etc
All these I tried teaching her on my own but she refused to listen maybe because I'm mummy.
Is not about being buoyant or not, is choice of the parents.
Small small with the advice please

Saying they learn nothing is really disappointing cos dey do learn alotss, cos dey dnt make sentences n read doesn't mean dey learn nothing....my daughter strted at 1yr 10month n I can say she really changed within 3 month...she socialise more(no more mummy n I gum gum),she counts to 10,identify and names colors, strted saying one or two words wen she feels like n has learnt to arrange her toys back in its box after playing (which has bin a BIG relieve for me) and such more, she even eats better too sef, always wanting to self feed...i tired some of these things myself while she was home but it just didn't work...its not abt bin buoyant abeg

myrygurl:

It depends actually. Children whose mum are busy or working class starts school very early. But when the mum is less busy or stay at home mum, then I really see no reason why a child below 3yrs will be put into school. When most babies below 3yrs hardly talk let alone communicate. And besides most pre nursery are just 8am-12pm just 4 hours unless you make arrangement for after school services. What are they even learning sef? Nothing mostly nursery rhymes. Waste of money i must say. Unless of course you are on the buoyant side then you have no issues.

Started using it for my baby girl when her 1st tooth was out

StrongWoman333:
Please who has used or is using this finger brush for their babies? When can one start using it? A post on Instagram said from 1month or so but it is bigger than my baby's mouth I can't even use it. How else do you mums take care of your babies mouth and how often do you wash? I did the cotton wool, warm water and salt cleaning sometimes..

We are 18months...hope there is still available space grin grin

zaynie:
Okay, let me go first.

I'll send a copy of the observation report I keep up in my class to the first 15 moms to show interest.
It contains a list of physical (gross/fine motor skills), cognitive, social development that we expect our kids to acquire before they leave our class.
Age range is 18m-30m.
It is printable and you can make comments or mark the date the skill was observed.

Please state of child in months, please.
Its pretty useless for babies and toddlers of up to 15m and it can be pretty frustrating if you keep it and have to tick once a month.

Leggo!

Modified: I've got 15 moms already.
Unless Blex444 and Darstyy99 rescind.

Thanks mommas!

Silverbird for skin...hmmmmmm,dats a little too much in my view ohhh esp for babies...

olubankemi:

Get silverbird, add a little quantity of it to her cream or shear butter and mix, apply to the affected part. You may also always add silverbird to her body cream, by so doing you won't withness any of these irritations.

Worked for my daughter, after all consultions, treatments, medications, nothing worked. A nurse at their vaccination clinic saw her skin and advised i mix silverbird with her cream and apply, since then i have never had to waste money on creams/consultations and medications.

Ensure you are getting the original silverbird, so many fake ones out there. To ensure i am getting the original one i always buy at medplus/heathplus. So you can try to get one at any of those health stores.

Put d finger food in his bowl n place it smwer around his play area...u will b surprised dat he will go grab it himself after sometime while playing up n dwn....dats wat I do for my daughter ,if I offer she might not accept but once I place it on d table with her water next to it n i form ignoring her,she goes to it ,pick n chew while playing around

jazzyjazz:

In the case of letting kids feed themselves, I've been struggling with one thing in my house
My son will collect anything from you but give him things like finger foods, he won't take it. He will look at you and retreat. But give him a toy or piece of paper to play with, he will take it gladly.

I really want him to at least feed himself bread or biscuit or plantain
How do I tackle this? How do I make him self feed?

Actively Introduce banana, plain greek yoghurt, avocado, egg n plenty crayfish to her meals....worked for my baby, she is also not chubby but u feel her weight wen u carry her.

ebonyjoke:
I need suggestions fellow mama.
At 9mnths immunization. Lo weight 6.9kg. Doc said is genetic CX she is super active and very fresh. That I shouldn't bother abt weight since she is super healthy and she chose not to be a chubby baby.I really wish she could at least have small Weight. The question is can I introduce complan milk now. She takes her regular pap with soya and crayfish, nutriborn cereal.

It has to do with hormones, estrogen or so...it increases while pregnant which helps hair grow fuller n thicker but decreases postpartum hence d hair loss...sorry it will grow back once your body adjusts back to default setting grin grin
