Cristiano Ronaldo weds Georgina Rodriguez secretly..

According to unconfirmed reports in Italy on Wednesday night, Cristiano Ronaldo has secretly tied the knot to his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.

Italian gossip magazine Novella 2000 reported that they got married in Morocco in a low-key ceremony.

Several papers and magazines in the footballer and hunky underwear model’s homeland have echoed the reports but one has said his last-known trip to the North African country was in May and sparked speculation they may have actually wed several months ago.

Novella 2000, which is promising to reveal more details, quoted a source it described as close to the couple saying: “I understood everything on August 29.

“That day Cristiano Ronaldo went to Madeira with his lawyers and changed his will to protect Georgina as well.

There was no immediate comment on Wednesday night from the Juventus striker’s agency Gestifute, which has been contacted.

But sources close to the footballer denied they were married.

Spanish media including some of the country’s most serious dailies like ABC and El Mundo have also echoed the news, starting an international guessing game as to whether the footballer and his former shop assistant partner are now man and wife.

Georgina, 25, admitted in February she would love to become the 34-year-old’s wife but quashed rumours they were already engaged.

Last year the footballer’s mum said of Georgina during a magazine interview about her son’s love life, children and his alcoholic dad Dinis who drank himself into an early grave in September 2005: “She is the mother of my grand-daughter. She is a future daughter-in-law. She’s not my daughter-in-law yet. She’s a future daughter-in-law. She’s a very calm person.”

Cristiano told Piers Morgan in September his most-treasured goal, an overhead kick for former side Real Madrid against Juventus in April last year, was nothing compared to sex with his Spanish partner.

However, they both have a daughter, named Alana Martina, who turned two earlier this month. Georgina, born to a Spanish mum and Argentinian dad, helps raise Ronaldo’s other three children.

Nigerian army distances itself from ‘Operation Positive Identification’

The Nigerian Army has dissociated itself from Operation Positive Identification across states in the country which is allegedly being promoted by one Bricks company.

The public has been urged to disregard the statement by Bricks Company on Operation Positive Identification.

Nigerian Army’s Acting Director of Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa stated that the ongoing operation positive identification is intelligence driven, deliberate and a targeted operation in the northeast region.

The statement reads “following the widespread apprehension on the purported Nigerian Army (NA) operation positive identification from 1 November to 23 December 2019, as mischievously peddled on the social media by a hitherto unknown and fictitious organization, the so-called Bricks Company, which alleges that the NA will conduct the operation and went ahead to state how the operation will be conducted by the Army.

“Specifically, Bricks alleges that – “residents shall witness large numbers of uniformed Nigerian Army personnel parading the roads in an exercise known as OPI.



“The NA wishes to inform members of the public that it has nothing to do with the so-called Bricks Company and its illusionary OPI; it is not an Army operation and the NA does not create any operation with such name or abbreviation in all its operations across the nation in a manner maliciously presented by the so-called Bricks Company.

“Similarly, NA has never issued press release through private companies or third parties because it has a full -fledged Directorate that coordinates its public relations and Information aspects which has a robust cordial working relationship with the press.

“Recall that in order to compliment the ongoing operation in the Northeast, NA has an ongoing operation positive identification which is intelligence driven, deliberate, targeted operation and not an independent operation but is integral and complimentary to Operation LAFIYA DOLE in the Northeast. Primary school teachers appeals to kogi state Govt. for non-payment of salaries

Over 7,000 teachers in public primary and secondary schools in Kogi State have appealed to kogi state govt. to look into the issue of non-payment of their salary for the past 8 to 39 months.

The appeal was contained in a communique issued at the end an emergency meeting of the Basic Education Staff Association of Nigeria (BASAN) held in Lokoja on Monday .

The group traced the teachers plight to the staff screening exercise the government embarked upon since 2016 , lamenting that the affected teachers had been begging to feed themselves and family members.

The communique signed by Mr Onotu Yahaya and Mr Mohammed Sule, Acting Chairman and Secretary of the Kogi State chapter of BASAN also bemoaned the refusal of the state government to fully implement the N18,000 minimum wage to teachers in the basic education sector.

Onotu and Sule stated that their counterparts in the senior secondary school cadre and other state government staff had started enjoying the N18,000 minimum wage since Dec. 2011 , wondering why t
eaching and none-teaching staff at the basic education sector were not being fully paid.

The communique urged the government to put a stop to the payment of 35 -50 per cent salary to its members , insisting that they deserve full payment of salary like other workers in the state.

” Several of the basic education staff retirees are yet to access their monthly pensions besides non-payment of their gratuity ,” the statement said.

It also raised concern over the poor state of basic infrastructures in schools across the state, warning that the development was an impediment in meeting the desired productive curriculum delivery.

” We are passionately appealing to Govt. for intervention on the above inflammatory issues for the ‘change’ mantra of the next level and change of narrative of this critical sector of education,” the communique added.

Nigerian celebrities have reacted on the charges brought against human rights activist and pro-democracy campaigner, Omoyele Sowore, by the Nigerian Government.

Nigerian government on Friday placed a seven-count charge of treasonable felony and money laundering against detained activist and Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore, a presidential candidate in the February 2019 presidential election was charged along with Olawale Bakare, also known as Mandate.

The charges were signed on behalf of t‎he Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), by Aminu Alilu, a Chief State Counsel in the Department of Public Prosecutions of the Federation‎, the Federal Ministry of Justice.



In the charges instituted against the defendants, the prosecution accused omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant of committing conspiracy to commit treasonable felony in breach of section 516 of the Criminal Code Act by allegedly staging “a revolution campaign on September 5, 2019 aimed at removing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

The prosecution also accused them of committing the actual offence of reasonable felony in breach of section, 4(1)(c) of the Criminal Code Act, by using the platform of Coalition for Revolution, in August 2019 in Abuja, Lagos and other parts of Nigeria, to stage the #RevolutionNow protest allegedly aimed at removing the President.

Reacting, Mavin producer, Don Jazzy called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release Sowore, adding that democracy was being sabotaged in the country.



On his Twitter page, Don Jazzy wrote: “This dangerous precedent of stifling opposition voices and dissenting opinions has survived enough.

“Let’s not pretend our nascent democracy isn’t being sabotaged when citizens shudder at the thought of people they elected into power.

“I plead for Sowore,Free Sowore. It’s really sad to watch. The young man means well for our dear Nigeria. Who is next?”

Adekunle Gold, described the charges against Sowore as fictional.

On his Twitter page, he wrote, “I really don’t want to believe those fictional charges against Sowore.

“Treasonable what? That must be a joke.”

In the shocking video, the man is seen trying to get the baby to stand on his own, but the boy couldn’t, so he slaps him across the face multiple time and doesn’t stop, even as the child cries.

He then positions the baby beside a table, with the child’s hands on the table for support, and tries to get the baby to stand on his own. But the baby’s legs wobble and this angers the man so, he slaps the baby on the stomach twice.

While this is going on, there’s a boy seen lying on a couch. Someone is also behind the camera because the baby is seen looking at the person while crying, but the person doesn’t come to the baby’s aid.

The man then carries the baby away from the table, lifts him high into the air, and drops him on the floor. He does this multiple times, then continues beating the baby again.

It is not clear how many people are in the room as this happens but voices can be heard in the background.

The video was shared by actress and former Miss Lebanon, Nadine Nassib Njeim and she tagged the United Nations, asking them to intervene.

Instagram users are angered by the man’s actions and they are calling for help in identifying the man and reporting him to the appropriate authorities for child abuse.

According to online reports, the act is a traditional marriage rite performed in Cameroon to test a groom’s ability to stay faithful to his bride.

The groom’s prospective sisters-in-law will perform various twerk styles on him. If he gets an erec-*tion, it means he has failed and will not be given the bride’s hand in marriage.

Atiku tells Buhari “We will all die and give an account of our lives to our creator” on Supreme court ruling

Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar in his reaction to the September 11th dismissal of his petition against President Buhari’s election, evoked subtle threats of eternal damnation to all blocking his path.

Atiku who is trying to reclaim his ‘mandate’ from President Buhari by pleading at the presidential tribunal that he had more plural votes via a server vote tally unknown to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Buhari’s ineligibility for election and electoral fraud said he will pursue his case until he gets justice.

The former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, who is reportedly in Dubai on vacation released a statement today canvassing for belief from supporters in Nigeria that the Supreme Court could give him the ‘justice’ he wants.

In Atiku Abubakar’s words, ‘I urge all Nigerians to continue their support for this recourse to constitutional order via the courts. Even if there is little or nothing you can do to ensure that justice is done in Nigeria, just believe that it will happen. Let us never underestimate the effect of our belief’.

I write to personally thank you for your support for our shared common goal. And the solidarity I enjoyed from all walks of life and every strata of society, right from July 21, 2018, when I informed you, the good people of Nigeria, that I would contest the 2019 Presidential election, to Wednesday September 11, 2019, when the PEPT rendered its verdict.

Nothing good comes easy, and hard as the task to rid Nigeria from the forces of fascism, and be an instrument for the full restoration of the rule of law and democracy in Nigeria is, your support makes the struggle worthwhile.

I owe so much to this great land of Nigeria that took me from the streets of Jada, where I sold firewood, to the heights I have attained, by God’s benevolence, in the civil service, in corporate Nigeria, and in public service.

If I do not play my part in making it possible for other orphaned children, indigent youths and the less privileged, to replicate and even surpass my path to significance, I would have failed my Maker.

If I do not ensure that the ladder I climbed remains accessible to those at the bottom, middle and top tiers of society, I would not have fulfilled my purpose. And only by ensuring that democracy is not just done, but seen to be done, can Nigeria and Nigerians have a sense that this our dear land is indeed a land where Unity, Faith, Peace and Progress reside.

It is for this, and other patriotic reasons, that I am pursuing this judicial route: To ensure that the votes of Nigerians count and are counted. Yes, those who do not want this as Nigeria’s reality, will use every trick in the book to undermine, discourage, misinform and mislead, but with God’s help and the support of Nigerians, we will ensure that Nigeria makes a course correction away from tyranny and towards democracy.

We must return to being Africa’s bastion of democracy, where the rights to Freedom of Speech and Freedom after the Speech, are guaranteed. We must stand together to pursue this just cause all the way, so that our judiciary are not afraid to do their jobs and have to be wary of blackmail, intimidation, and victimisation.

I note the immense outpouring of goodwill from ordinary Nigerians in every nook and cranny of Nigeria and from all regions, religions and relationships. Once again I thank you all for your support. I also thank the governors elected on the platform of my party, the PDP, as well as the National Executive Committee, for their unanimous and unambiguous support for the judicial phase of this struggle, especially after it was announced that we would go on to appeal.

I urge all Nigerians to continue their support for this recourse to constitutional order via the courts. Even if there is little or nothing you can do to ensure that justice is done in Nigeria, just believe that it will happen. Let us never underestimate the effect of our belief.

Lady jumps down from window after robbing a bank (video)

A lady was spotted in a viral video jumping down from the window of an Ecobank branch in Adum area of Kumasi in Ghana, which she robbed.

The lady who contemplated on going for the money she threw down from the window before jumping down, was eventually arrested by security operatives attached to the bank.

The name of the lady was not immediately available as at the time of filing this report.

Though what caused the break-up was not revealed, however the aggrieved lady’s anger stemmed from toiling for years with her ex-boyfriend and eventually getting dumped. She was heard saying he will never be rich, never have children and never be happy in his life with the other woman.

“You shall never be rich. You shall never give birth. You shall never be happy”, she was heard cursing the ex-boyfriend.

David de Gea has officially signed a long-term contract with Manchester United that will keep him at Old Trafford club until June 2023. The 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a £375,000-a-week deal that also includes the option to extend for a further year.
