I'm from umunedei in ogwashi ukwu. And our history is more of once upon a time we were a territory under the oba of Benin with no governing system of our own, then a prince of igbo descent comes and settles with us. And takes permission from the oba a to establish a governing system. His request is granted and he intermarries with the local population, sets up a governing structure which he heads and introduces his own language and everything. of course he can't just wipe out the original culture entirely. So it's more of a fusion of two different cultures. But originally. We are not igbo.

Go to google and type tribes in delta state Nigeria and you will see for yourself all the tribes including Igbo as one of the major tribe in delta state ..
