Myslf n family submitted july 09 for a trip of Aug 21 - Sep

After 24 workings days had past i called d embassy..A Nigerian dude picked up n says i shld send a reminder email on Wednesday if i don't get our PP by then we wld be 5 days to travel...

I just felt sorry for my family cos tickets were fast rising n doubling the normal flight ticket.

Nways i did a reminder n got no response..i had told my family that even if the visas comes out we wld have to reschedule to during midterm break in school..cos i pressumed d french guys were just taking us for a ride..if travel date is for Monday n as from Friday no news..definately embassy's wld not open on sat n sunday..

We had payed fully for our hotel..450k + with a gud cancellatio. Policy..

By Monday as there was no news i cancelled our hotel..as i knew Tue n Wed were public holidays so defo d trip is been jeopardies by d embassy itslf..

Ystday Aug 23 making 31 working days we got a pickup message for PP n behold refusal signed Aug 23...lolz

We were refused Aug 23 when trip was to starr Aug 21...really really funy..

Refused on d basis..of justification of stay was not bla bla bla

God forbid me appealing such..how do u even appeal a tourist visit..if they simply don"t want us visiting their country as of the moment

I'll rather we do our holiday somewhere else

Yes na they are mostly naija guys going through the documents and even telling the consular the white men themselves to go the extra mile if need be to verify documents, believe me your guy would not still get an email from them cos they like to do it their way. Your guy should just be praying, probably when he gets his visa he can just go buy his flight ticket the following day or 2 days later .

Brethren! We got the Italian Schengen visa! My wife and I requested for 30 days multiple entry but they gave us a visa valid for 50 days multiple entry. Is this usual? Has anyone else experienced it? The Italian visa is identical to the UK visa. Just very minor differences. Bank statements were not returned, pension fund statement was not returned, travel itinerary was not returned, AirBnB accommodation booking was not returned, all letters were not returned. Original copies of employment letter, marriage certificate, payslips and medical reports were returned. However, the original marriage certificate was very badly damaged. We now have to laminate it to prevent disintegration. I think it is only fair if the Italian Consulate considers authorising VFS to inspect originals and returning them if they cannot guarantee safekeeping. There are two notices stapled to our passports. The first one warns us that the Schengen visa does not confer an automatic right of entry to the Schengen area. We are expected to carry all relevant travel documents and evidence of financial means to the Border Police authorities who are entitled to turn their enemies back if they are not satisfied. The second notice warns us again that the Border Police is entitled to recheck all the documents we used in obtaining the visa and that we must have enough financial resources. It goes further to warn that if we leave Italy for another Schengen country and reenter Italy, we are expected to report to Border Police or the appropriate Police HQ within 8 working days. I wish everyone else waiting on the Italian Embassy all the best.

For 50 days multiple entry.  Is this usual?

Yes it is, especially if ur travel dates had passed b4 visas were issued.

If she is going on a visit to see ur sister

All you are required to do is to submit all d listed document on vfs check list for visit visa

For more positive result ur sister shld send documents such as accomodation if she is going to stay in her place, her bank account details if she wld be responsible for her financially

Police clearance and medical report is not needed just a vaccination card(yellow card)

If you have a valid schengen visa,USA, UK

All u need do is go online and buy turkish evisa for $40 and you can enter turkey if you want or you can buy it at the airport for the same price.. you don't need no transit visa and besides as a Nigerian you can only get transit visa from Turkish embassy9 in Nigeria.. let's always try and give out real info's

You would have bought Turkish airways. They are on promo. Relatively cheap like 200k economy.
And you can pay $20 to Turkish immigration and enter Istanbul -turkey and shop. Am also travelling to Vienna in matter of weeks. Am first going to Milan before Vienna.

Kindly clarify dat 20usd to immigration in Turkey for transit visa..as many persons plan according to infos gotten here..
Let me explain what i kno of Turkish transit single visa

Once u ave a valid shenghen,uk,usa visa u would need a transit turkish visa b4 arrival if u wish to spend days in istanbul..

Either embassy visas or cable visas..(online visa) below is the process and fees

Filling of the form and 60usd for visa and another 40usd govt charges..making a 100usd or + for the cheapest visas urgent visas come expensive than d total of 100usd

These are the requirements to apply for Turkish E-visa

(1) you are travelling for tourism

(2) have a valid supporting document ( valid visa or resident permit from one of the schegen countries, USA, UK or Ireland.

(3) have a round trip ticket with turkish air

(4) have a passport valid for 6 months before travel

(5) prove of return ticket, hotel reservation and at least $50 per each day



for the tickets and hotel reservation, just a booked reservation can do, when you get your e-visa you can then go on to buy the actual ticket

Sir ur quote of approx 41 usd is so wrong...it's actually expensive dan what u did quote..

It's 65 dollar plus for the agency fee and 40 usd for govt fee

U looking at 100 usd plus as the total fee and not the price u qouted

During ur submittion u may have explained ur activities on a plain paper..

Therefore issue of host n diff locations of stay wld have been mentioned...

Meaning for a host u did subtmitt invitatoon letter stating u wld be staying with host

As for diff locations u are also expected to show booking for d diff hotels at diff locations...

So those copies of booking or invitation letter shld be with u when arriving at the POE...

My candid advice is make ur entery less complicated...show evidence of accomodation for ur entire stay...

Is South African Currency not acceptable...If yes, how much am i supposed to go with. And which currency is better to use?

Is it compulsory i book all the days at once? .Because i learnt South African immigration do request for a confirmed hotel reservation at the point of entry.

For 10 days atleast equvalent of 500 USD shld be fine...not heard SA checks BTA but then u shld be fine with equiv of 500 USD...

Yes make sure you book all ur intended days at once ...SA immigration takes dis very seriously

Ensure also dat u visit booking .com to book ur 3 days hotel some where at d nairobi city center most of nairobi hotels on booking.com is pay on arrival..

Ave a copy of it with u on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta airport..u wls fill forms on arrival stating how many days u intend staying u wld b charged 50usd for the visa n ur child if he/she meets d free visa fee he/she wld be stamped in free of charge but with no sticker in he/she 's passport

U can also read about kigali n addis incase dey are visa on arrival u can as well use their flight n enjoy their countries as well...

Note : am sure of nairobi on arrival pls ask about kigali,Rwanda and addis, Ethiopia

Dis month i was in South Africa with my family for a vacation ..i had planned vacation to one of the balkan countries for summer holidays come Sept...

All i simply did was honestly applied our SA visa for tourist after d visa was issued i had applied to the balkan country who did not have an embassy here online n sent all document..during our holidays in jobug we visited Pretoria for d visa completion..

In ur case since u actually visiting SA for the Lithuania purpose n no prior plans of SA holiday..u wld need to apply SA normal short visa n include documents proofing Lithuania Embassy is expecting U along with every documents SA requires for short stay visa..

As for ur dad's statement..it depends on what u going to do in Lithuania..if u going there for vacation..almost certain with ur dad's statement u wlf be refused SA visa..it wld b hard to convince the VO u going to spend ur dad's money on vavacation in Lithuania ..ur statement wld be ideal if going to Lithuania for holidays so apply ur SA visa with ur own bank statment

OR go to ABuja where u can submit same day with no appointment booking

Does Lithuania specifiy u must come in person? Or courrier is allowed too

If you have such in your statement, just explain what you do for a living in your introduction letter.

Hello house,my colleague applied for SA visa and was refused. She had almost one million come into her account few days before submission although she did her best to explain the source of the funds. They were majorly from her savings account and from her husband but she was still refused. She approached one of the partners at our firm and they have decided to giver her the company bank statement to say the company is sponsoring her. How soon can she reapply? Is there anything she needs to do differently this time? Also applying so soon, will it smell desperation on her part? Thank you all

Unfortunately dat amount is a money lodgment..
Immedate application with her company statement for her personal use is another refusal as it's definately despiration..

Her best bet is to do another salary for another 3 months say atleast wait till after 4 months with a strictly salary income bank statement and then print out a 3 months of the statement
