Duru009:E neva get one before. This is the act of hooliganism we've been enduring for dacedes under Tinubu. Not even the speaker of the smallest state in Nigeria will be this unruly. They're busy washing their dirty linen in public. Every time I say we need a change of leadership and.party in lagos, this is one of the reasons. They're all desperate to grab anything,.including power and money |
Nice one 👍 |
okoroemeka:I love this |
OlofofoCorner:Read my full comment. Then you'd understand why I called him coward. Any leader who can't walk his talk is coward. |
Gowon is one of the cowards, insincere and weakest military leaders ever known. OBJ made same revelation. It appears IBB no wan carry the truth commot as his time ticks, which was why he spilled the beans. The foundation of this nation really had issues but the successive generations could have corrected it, if not for ethnic bigotry. It all started from the north and later found its way to the south due to the perceived civil war massacre as witnessed by those who lived in that era. I had an igbo colleague in those days, who was well advanced in age. He's in his 60s now. He once narrated the unfortunate war to me as experienced by him as a child and how he escaped those who captured him and wanted to send him to war to carry gun despite his age. I felt so emotional. My maternal uncle from ekiti also died in the civil war. He was my mum's immediate younger brother and the only son of my grandma. Sadly, those generation of igbos to whom the story was narrated didn't manage the situation well. Rather than move on, they instigated rebellion against other tribes by accusing them of genocide and hate for the igbos. Yorubas and hausas also suffered severe casualties. All our forefathers were guilty and selfish. They caused the current wahala majorly. I've read several books on the civil war and the last I read was the Why We Struck. The intention of the war was to release Pa Awo and fast track the transition into civil rule by handing over power to him but baba made a you-turn by hobnobbing with gowon and giving them harsh tactics against the igbos, which included cutting off food supplies to them. Gowon also made his promise to him. Till his death, Pa Awo never ruled Nigeria. I can never be a tribalist except I don't want this country to move forward. Pa Awo was to be killed alongside others but was released . The briefing containing the future of Nigeria was handed over to him but he went to Gowon's camp instead and the war rather raged on and took another turn. The Aburi Accord was also jettisoned, despite Gowon's promise to keep it. All our leaders still alive must apologise to all of us for ruining this great union called Nigeria and rendering this generation refugees at home and homeless abroad, struggling for survival. The primordial problem is still evident today and that's why any tribe that produces president will populate his government with his tribes people. Naso e be from foundation. That's why I won't blame Tinubu wholly on what's happening in government today on his choice of political appointees. I only blame him for not being a true democrat by following his predecessors character. He should have acted differently because these were the perceived injustices he fought for, as a political activist back in the days. Who knows, whenever it gets to the igbo's turn, they'd fill the government with their people too, time will tell. I think if we truly split and bear our father's names, it's better for us all else, the trend will only continue except our generation is proven wrong by whoever succeeds tinubu. Only obj ruled fairly in Nigeria, both as military and as civilian. I remember when some of our elders accused him of not being fair to yorubas and he said he's not yoruba president but Nigeria's president. |
porthouse7:I don't need to.move an each to do fx exchange. All am saying is, your rate isn't correct. The rate of the app I use is much lower than what an aboki or a registered BDC will trade. The rate actual and current like I said is above what you quoted. I order things regularly. See the rate as at yesterday below.

fergie001:To give woman belle na small tin,.na the food wey pikin go chop be the koko cos you can't Subject your baby to only breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding is the norm but once in a while, it's advisable to supplement with baby foods, if you no wan make your wife become panla fish for this tinubu wicked regime. A tin of babyfood is over 10k now and you'd need 2 cans weekly to supplement. Baby care stuffs also dey dia. I read here on NL sometime ago where an ardent supporter of Tinubu ignorantly said, Nigeria had been enjoying fake life for years, that it's now we're living the kind of life that matches our standard and I asked him, what would you say of a cotonou woman who used to send all her children to Nigeria to do maids cos of our good economy and strong currency, but has withdrawn all of them, he now kept quiet. I asked again, what about the cefa that used to be a worthlessness currency now leaving the naira far behind, he kept quiet again . When you want to pull a defence, you reason logically. Nigeria being the 4th largest economy in africa today, ranking below some countrues that couldn't even rub shoulders with Nigeria 4 yrs ago is a proof how much this regime had destroyed Nigeria. They can't point to one single achievement but propaganda. |
True. That's around 3,300USD,which isn't bad with the economic size of Nigeria. In the US, depending on hospital, you could spend a min of 10kUSD on birthing. Unfortunately, our leaders have mortgaged this country and those who are supposed to be stoning them for destroying their lives and denying them all these benefits are the ones fighting over them on the social media . After destroying Nigeria, they choose overseas hospitals for medical treatment. E no concern them, if you live or not.You don't even have to spend all the 5m. Insurance should take a chunk of it off your finances and if unemployment, the government should been able to assist in a way. May Pa Jakande's soul continue to RIP.i wish he was allowed to do 8 years. Lagos today would have been the eye of Africa on robust and affordable Healthcare with his programme. There's nothing in our hospotals today despite the huge revenues being generated. Private hospitals that used to evy our general hispptals have all taken over in Lagos. These are the places where you can find modern equipment and enjoy proper care but they're super expensive. The suffering masses can't afford it. |
porthouse7:This is right but it's higher than what you quoted, I monitor the trend daily. I wish tinubu could let the naira appreciate to 720 naira where he met it before destroying it with his bad and irreversible policy which caused multinationals and other companies to shut down and leave Nigeria. Unfortunately, these are the companies paying taxes which they use for developmental projects. All those sudden increases in taxes levied on telcos, imported goods and vat hike wouldn't have been necessary in the first place. Despite all these moves, it still amounts to nothing cos it's like a drop in the ocean. Tinubu was so overrated. He messed up big time. Noting we're 4th largest economy in africa today is enough proof this man has destroyed Nigeria. Hid owns this country. We shall recover |
It should appreciate to where tinubu met it first. Then he can improve on that and we can appraise him based on that. He caused the free fall of the naira by floating it. The ripple effect had left a great impact on our economy negativity. Tinubu has really destroyed Nigeria. But God owns Nigeria. |
seunowa:This isn't true. Had the NNPCL not threatened dangote last year, his target depot price was 580 naira last August. But because NNPCL knew the man would burst their subsidy scam bubbles as the nation would query the NNPCL for selling at such a high price due to the nonexistent subsidy and throw Nigeria into chaos, they kept attacking and frustrating him. That's the reason for the backs and forths you saw on the dangote's refinery commencement dates last year coupled with the aduiterated fuel propaganda and the dangote's exposing the key politician in Nigeria of owning a malta blendimg facility. Dangote had already been pushed to the wall before he made the Malta blending facility revelation. NNPCL just wanted to frustrate him because he said he won't increase that target price. To cover up their lies, they quickly took up the down stream(marketing and distribution) of the dangote refinery. Tomorrow, I expect the NNPCL to also announce a reduction in pump price as they did after dangote announced a reduction a few months ago, which they later said wasn't sustainable. NNPCL and the FG are the problem of Nigeria. Once there's a drop in crude price globally or within the open bloc, petrol prices will increase and vice versa so, your submission is not right. |
Omg! I keep saying this..All the leaders we have at the helms today are liars, both at the state and federal levels. We don't have sincere ones who can truly protect the masses, those who turn up every election day to vote them yet. See what's happening in Benue. I wish people could actually jettison bigotry and vote leaders who truly care |
TimeManager:Here they come again. How many of the president's cars had a cng cylinder installed, to lead by example? They say you should be carrying a gas cylinder all about and subject your entire family to explosion but no single car belonging to the president, his vice or senate leader has one, till today . Recently, the military ruler of Niger was seen commissioning their locally made electric okada and urged all government employees and the entire public to be using it, starting from himself and deputy. That's how to know a good leader and someone who cares. All these political news can only catch gullible minds like you. |
But you know the popular saying that, when you're in Rome, you behave like Romans. Some guys' act of indiscipline exhibited at home, as learned from our leaders must accompany them across our borders. If they're not caught and punished for molesting women, they'd be punished for another offence like fraud. No be everywhere be like Nigeria wey be like a lawless country without a leader. The Niger military ruler was recently seen, inspecting their locally made electric bike. He's authorised all government workers to be using it, starting from himself and deputy. But here, tinubu said you should be using CNG-powered cars and be carrying gas cylinders everywhere inside your vehicles and subject your entire household to gas explosion and some foolz were hailing him. Till now, tinubu doesn't have a single vehicle in his fleet with a CNG cylinder installed, to lead by example. Any country you find such a callous leader, those he's governing must disobey rules of another country at the slightest opportunity. |
Elrufai is one of the key northern politicians that carry weight. By the tme he begins to attack you, he'll not stop until he brings you down. I remember GEJ time. The latter first ignored him. By the time he realised it, kaduna and some northern states had been lost to the apc. Elrufai is a strong figure in the apc, as far as northern politics is concerned. He doesn't know how to talk and that's my problem with him. His bodybag statement has denied him the US Visa till today. Their mega party will work and unseat Tinubu. Elrufai is a spoiler, he's a termite in politics. You loud speakers, you'll be shocked. |
DryMouth:Nothing like dey play. Look at the type of modern cars Peugeot is making. Which auto manufacturers produce old models nowadays in such a competitive world? |
God1000:Nothing lasts forever. As tough as Trump was in his first term, Biden still humbled him by undoing all his executive orders and reversed immigration rules. |
Bulagi:Did you mean 10k or 10mUSD? |
DryMouth:You mean the old models? This is 2025 |
A mega party is loading. They can port to any party of their choice. It's amazing to note who are truly Democrats among those who won election under LP and those who are after money. Their names are already known They should just remain in the APC, in their best interest. |
But the lagos-ibadan expressway project was part of the flagged-off projects by the Jonathan administration which was executed by buhari administration naw. The overhead bridges' layouts are there also. Anyone plying that axis would see the layout on both sides. What's left is placing a column across the bridge and expansion of each side for easy vehicular ascension and decent on the bridges, finish. Instead of flagging off an existing and ongoing project, while not probe the contractor to whom the contract was awarded, for not completing their job or abandoning it after buhari had left? This is an avenue for stealing as usual. They'd make it look like a new project. Awon ole ![]() If you go to the odogunyan area of Ikorodu on lagos-sagamu expressway, it had been done in part, especially the lagos axis, remaining the ogun part, up to sagamu itself. Contractors had done the one from sagamu junction down to the slope near the elephant cement plant in sagamu, where the work stopped in that area. What they need to do is probe those contractors, some of whom are their padipadi and collect all monies paid to them to do the job back and give to another contractor, not flagging off the existing project as if it's a new one, which of course is a n avenue to loot. If tinubu is serious, he should go to ijebu area of the Benin-ore highway and complete obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari's road rehabilitation projects, to ease vehicular movements in that axis. It's long overdue. There's a portion before entering Benin too which wasn't touched. Sukuk funded projects of buhari did wonders on that road especially the portion before ore. The remaining part is btw isagamu and a few kms before ore. Only by doing this would one say tinubu is keeping on his predecessors' track but I know he won't go there cos it's going to gulp money and they'd not be able to steal much. It's also a long term project, like a fresh construction project. Now that USAID doesn't exist anymore and no money to give, they must look for irrelevant projects to corner money into their pockets as they do in lagos. The contract value will shock many. |
Tjra:Don't mind the way people think. Morality is a thing of the mind, not what people wear most times. Though I'm an advocate of decent dressing for both genders. I don't want to share my full experience here so it doesn't sound like I'm shaming or condemning a religion. Wetin my eyes see for kano no be small thing. I remember a day one rich man traced his newly wedded wife to a hotel where I was lodged. She was bundled out in a fully covered Muslim apparel. I couldn't even see her face to say the least. She came to meet another man in that hotel. |
chrisdstar:You've said it all.Canada is too scanty and they need more people. The truth is, you can't manage what you can't measure. They'd first look at their pocket size before welcoming more people. How many factories are there in canada where people can actually work? What about retail outlets? Their economy is also partially dependent on imports from China, just likec the US but the latter had great establishments where people can work and earn a living. Education wise, back in early 2000s, my brother who was considering Canada for medicine had to end up in the US. Even many Canadian citizens were always going to America to study medicine cos only a very few of their unis in Canada had medicine, computer engineering and management courses too, as far back as year 2001. Things may have changed now. Maybe if their economy grows more, they'd be able to welcome more people. As you can see, they're already overwhelmed on the immigration side. They keep building shelters, far any beyond they budgeted. They've suspended a lot of their immigration programmes already. To be honest,Canada is too scanty oo. How are you guys coping? Make una dey check on each other oo. How can you be driving 2-3 hours and you'd not see a human being on the road? People could even die in their homes and nobody would know for months. That kind of life isn't a good one. No place like naija if you have a fairly manageable job. Once you attain 30s, just stand on your own and build up a company, employ people and grow the economy. Don't copy others. That car isn't needed yet, invest in your future and you'd buy many great cars later. That's all what those oyinbos employing our people do. Ford started his car manufacturing from his garage. If you're saying you'd continue to depend on the empty promises of government, you go wait taya oo. They're a bunch of idiotss. They know how to deceive their supporters in each election. They'd soon begin to pump money for kangaroo programs cos election is approaching. Once they enter again, they'd begin slapping them in the face and recover their money. Their supporters are not wise yet, only fighting on top tribalism and bigotry which these politicians always ride on, to stardom. In lagos for instance, once election is approaching, they tell traffic managers to stop arresting okada on highways, they look the other way once vehicles cross the red light. They become nice suddenly cos they need their votes. As soon as they enter, they begin to load okada inside trucks during arrests...some people's livelihood and then, resume strict measures and be destroying those bikes. Our people are too mumu. You'd see candidates with a much better programme but will ignore them cos of those deceitful body language of the govt in power and 5k they share I always pity our people each time I see them doing odd jobs out there, something they could even establish here and make more money. There's a company making disposable cups in Canada where 5 Nigerians are working. They left with all their family members for Canada. Back home, they could pull funds together and establish a similar company and they'd be alright. 2 of them were bank managers before they left . One was an insurance broker. They're eating from hand to mouth now. Government is bad yes but don't look at their side rather, agitate for good governance and start from the grassroots. Make it a collective effort. Sensitise the gullible minds. Things will take shape gradually and we'd weed them off power, if we faint not. I spent money trying to orient youths in alimosho in 2023. I tried my best to discourage them from the soon to come tsunami of Tinubu that would befall them. We engaged them in skills acquisition programs. Some now own their shops, phone repairs equipment, vulcanizing machines etc and doing fine. Tinubu no send their papa now that he's in power but they remain grateful today. You don't have to be in politics before you can contribute your quota. Ordinarily, these are the little things government is supposed to be doing to citizens. Like I've always said, democracy is primarily set up to benefit the masses. In Nigeria, the reverse is the case. Irrespective of who becomes president, e no concern middle class. They'd keep buying new cars, building new houses. But the masses can't do any of those. When you try to educate them they take a swipe at you and call you names. Codedly, the same people would be begging for money on social media but we won't be discouraged. We will continue to educate them till they get sense. Together we can build the Nigeria of our dreams. Running away isn't it. Imagine setting up a nylon or cellophane factory with that money you realised from the sale of your cars, houses, lands which you used to process the japa, com dey wash gutter for Canada, UK or USA, and be dispatching same cellophane bags for a company owned by someone much younger than you? Sadly, most of the jobs our people do no get security. You can't even retire with it. This means, you'd work yourself out, till old age with no retirement benefits and that's why we see old men and women doing gateman or security work under a biting cold to survive. Children you're spending your hard earned money on will leave you some day, that's the truth but you can see something to fall back on later, with my advice. By the time you turn 40, your age that seemed slow in your 20s will begin to run very fast and bills will not stop piling up. At 50 you should have achieved at least 60% of your life goal else, you'd feel like you've been sleeping all these years by the time you look back. If you got a good job from here, you are good to go. If , after you graduated for those schooling abroad , you land a rarely good job, good for you but how many of these so-called good jobs are available? But here in Nigeria, you are a big boy if you can think out of the box. Rome wasn't built in a day guys. We too schooled there but we came back. I remember my friend discouraging me when I said I'd be returning home. Today, he's an oga at Walmart where we both worked but he didn't have a quarter of my achievement today to say the least. A few heard my story here. I'm not discouraging japa, but do that sensibly. Work briefly, gather the money , look for things or opportunities you know is lacking but would be needed here and come back to develop it. Don't join them condemning Nigeria when you finally get there and seeing those beautiful infrastructure wey your papa no contribute one naira to build. Those attractive stuffs you're seeing were over a century efforts. The majority of those who built America, especially new York are interred in woolawn cemetery. The cemetery is like a town in new York city. Let's build Nigeria together. |
CHARACTER in one word |
Let them all return home and stage mass protest against bad governance and all will be well. Once we have good governance in place, we will have sound education system, employment opportunities, name it. How many Beninois, Ghanaians or south africans are schooling in Nigerian unis taday as we had back in the days? Tinubu may not be the only one who wrecked Nigeria,he's only the last straw that broke the camel's back. Once all of them are voted out of our political space, we will begin to get it right. All of them have eyes and legs in the treasury and economy of Nigeria. How can you be president and be a businessman same time? There'll be distraction and pecuniary interest as we have today in the down stream sector. Nigerians should investigate the man behind the Malta blending facility. The outcome will shock the nation |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Police is really not needed in polls. They're always there to facilitate rigging. Rivers and osun LG polls are a proof |
Weldone Mr modern lagos builder ![]() |
FreeStuffsNG:My point exactly. Maybe he had padded his age due to a political ambition he may be nursing. He looks 60s. Hbd to him |
You also gave same advice in rivers. Rivers ended up conducting a peaceful LG poll without the presence of the police |
merits:They've been bought over by the apc to make it look like other parties also objected to the conduct of tomorrow'selection. Even if they decide to participate, LP no get weigh for osun. |
SarkinYarki:They're really frustrating this man. When I say these crop of politicians are the enemies of Nigeria, I have proofs. The same people are wooing investors Smh. When dangote said he had the capacity of meeting local demand, same NNPCL kicked and said they'd appoint 3 marketers to import. I doubt people really understand the meaning of competition. This is frustration by the NNPCL . |
