When you dont know, You ask.
You are talking about 2021 while I'm talking about 2023. I got my French Schengen Visa within 4/5 working days, submitted on Monday, got a Passport Pickup E-mail on the Friday, this was December 2023.

If I didn't know, I'd have asked of course. But because I once applied for same visa like others did back then, with a long wait time before approval, it was enough evidence of knowing, for me. Even before 2021, People always wanted to avoid France because of their ridiculously long wait time so, I found it strange when I read your post, to be honest. The visa expired this year and I've since renewed via Germany which took 15 days to process. But having read some other's posts , affirming your claim, I knew its possible.

@ashirioluwa has also corroborated your claim, which I also appreciated in my response to him. Things are changing everyday. I've learned something new about France schengen visa now

Hello house,

I sent a web form requesting to know the visa office treating my application and I got an auto-response from Nairobi.

Does that mean the application is being processed in Nairobi?

Thank you all

So Obi graduated from junior school (Agpa) to senior school (PDP) then to university (LP)?

But did not crosscappet like Atiku and co?
I just told you that simple truth. Pdp is APGA and vice versa. 100% of the time they've adopted and endorsed the pdp presidential Candidates. History doesn't lie. The difference is the party name. I've also told you why Obi left for the Labour. If the pdp should zone presidency to the south in the next election, Obi and other aggrieved members will return to the pdp. Atiku betrayed the party's constitution out of greed. I hope he's learnt his lesson already.

Accepted, what happened to him in Apga?
Who hijack the ticket there?
How he take different from typical politicians?

You people don't want his name to be mentioned anywhere and keep defending what should not.

How is Po different from Atiku and co?
APGA is a junior brother to the PDP. Only a non-nigerian doesn't know this fact.

If you don't believe that one can get a Schengen visa through the France Embassy within 5 business days, then you're new to the France Embassy.

Most frequent travelers who apply for Schengen visas through the France Embassy get decisions within 5 business days.

My wife went for biometrics on Friday, January 12, and she received a passport pick-up message on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. That was just like 2 or 3 business days, and she was granted a 3-year Shengen visa.
Then I'm new to their recent development. I got 3 years too in 2021. It expired January but it took nearly 90 days to process. I renewed via Germany and processing time was 15 calendar days.

Thanks for the info. Covid era must have contributed to that. It was my first Schengen visa issued by France, I've always entered via Germany before then.

I'm not defending him. That's the truth. If pdp respects their construction today by zoning presidency to the south, obi will return to contest, atiku is the problem and the reason he left which was why wike and Co refused to support him.

My phone was nearly stolen yesterday evening at ijaye-ojokoro area. I was going to see a friend at command area, via meiran. As soon as I passed ijaye, to turn in front of the ojokoro estate and face meiran road, there was this earth-moving equipment that was trying to turn and face ijaye but those vehicles that entered one way from ahmadiyya prevented him.

As soon as the long traffic eased, the long trailer now turned. On getting to my turn, a guy was talking to me, as if he was trying to clear the road for me, I now wound down, not knowing there was another guy to my right who was busy looking at my phone. As the guy on the left was talking to me to distract me, the guy on my right had picked my phone from where it was hidden, meanwhile, my ear buds were connected to it. I suddenly noticed that the music was fading in my ears so I looked at where I kept the phone lo and behold, it wasn't there. I now saw the guy trying to hurriedly take the phone across the road. I saw it in his hand. I didn't know the kind of speed with which I jumped out of the car to chase him. The other guy , noticing I might shout oleee, quickly collected my phone from him and gave me. I couldn't say anything again . Naxo my Samsung galaxy for loss . They'd just take it to computer village and sell it for 400k.

Robbery in lagos has taken a different turn and instead of acting, our governor is busy shouting like a tout

Imagine PO hunting ticket from APGA to PDP and then LP grin grin
Pathetic
PO would have joined an independent party. Unfortunately, the NA, for the reason best knowm to them have refused to work on that. They pushed for it at a time but later dropped the move. He didn't leave the pdp because of food. He's a businessman and a successful one for that matter. Politics or not, he can't be poor again in his lifetime and its a fact.

Atiku hijacked the primaries which was supposed to be zoned to the south the 2nd time. The same reason the likes of ortom, makinde and wike backed off and supported the apc candidate instead. So, your narrative isn't relevant here.

I wish I got mine so early in 2021. That means things have changed over time. I'd like to state that no schengen visa takes approx 1 week or 5 working days to process as you mentioned. I stand to be corrected. It takes approximately 15 days to process a visa to any schengen region. It could take 45 days and even beyond at times.

Thank you.
Kindly make this inquiry at the France visa thread.

Btw. France visit visa takes long to process....same duration as that of Canada at times. My last France schengen visa took nearly 3 months to process. I had to mail and call.

APC and APPOINTMENT of State governors are like two sides of the same coin. The party is killing democracy in Nigeria.

APC was voted out of office in 2019 but its INEC appointee, Mahmood Yakubu, used the roguish statement of "no existence of INEC Server" to dribble the judges.

In 2023, APC was voted out but the same Mahmood Yakubu on seeing that APC was losing the election ordered for disruption of the system for electronic transmission/collation of vote results; went for the morribund and most untransparent manual transmission/collation of vote results, to declare APC candidate winner of the presidential election.
Leave all of them. Karma is real. To move Nigeria forward is simple. But because same people want to keep milking Nigeria, they've decided to prevail in each election, using dubiously orchestrated means. Nigeria isn't taken seriously by the comity of nations anymore. But these criminals in government don't care. Many of them are on the usa and UK visa ban list. Yahaya bello can't step his feet on the American soil as I speak.

I just pity those defending these criminals, SMH!

Bello appointed Ododo for a reason to succeed him and the ododo of a man is already doing his best to shield him. He's the only one who knew about the stealing and can.cover up his loots. Amazingly, he can run but can't hide forever.

A legal practitioner, Ola Daniel has said that it is unconstitutional for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have declared the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello wanted. He made this known on Arise TV noting that the court is yet to decide on an appeal filed by th EFCC.
Every lawyer must do their job by telling lies in defence of their clients. Na here we dey for naija wey yahaya bello's wife and cousin were caught with hard currency while in transit and were charged for money laundering. Maybe yahaya bello had stockpiled that stolen money to revive his moribund fair plus transport company which crashed immediately after he became governor.

This is what you get when you pick bigotry over competence. Imagine faleke , a joint ticket holder being sidelined after the death of audu? That's how far bigotry can go. The yahaya bello of a guy had already moved on after he lost at the primary and joined the pdp, even working for their candidate.

Nigeria can never move forward unless tribalism and religous bigotry are nipped in the bud. Sadly, every tribe is guilty of these

You can apply from the UK since you are a legal resident as a student as long as you are fulfilling your student visa conditions by attending classes. The case would be different for visitors who are better applying from their home country. Going for a conference in line with your field as a student makes sense.

Success on visa application is at the discretion of the Canadian Immigration (IRCC) but you should stand a high chance if you can take your time and put in a convincing application. Few tips that can help you are itemized below:

* Attach your immigration document that legalize your stay in the UK i.e UK Home Office BRP letter & BRP Card.
*Academic Record sheet with Grades to date (that proofs you have been attending classes)
* Proof of Funds (if your brother would be sponsoring, you can attach his one pager financial Net worth and stamped by his bank).
* Confirmation Letter of Financial Sponsorship by your brother.
* You can also attach your bank statement as additional proof of funds, just to demonstrate you have some cash.
* Since you are going for a conference and still studying, the shorter the number of days you declare spending in Canada, the better since the officer would expect your resumption for the following semester. Dont forget to attach evidence of payment for the conference and any other relevant document like confirmation of attendance etc. I want to also assume you are planning this to fall during your school scheduled academic break.

* When filing your application, there is section that ask "amount available for your stay" make sure the amount you quote make sense in regard to the days you intend to spend in Canada. Your brother would be able to advice you on this since he lives in Canada.

Overall, you guys should evaluate the application well before you submit to be sure nothing will be confusing to the visa officer. A clue would be if your brother would be granting you an accommodation for the duration of the conference, you want to be sure that he lives in good proximity to the conference. Your brother cannot be living in Alberta and the conference is taking place in Ottawa, that would be a concern to the officer just to give you an example.

All the best!
Very apt and demystifying. Your last paragraph nailed it. Every applicant must sit down, interview him/herself by evaluating and scrutinising their documents, as if they were the VO, before applying. They should work on every area in which they may be having double minds(doubts) before submitting that application...cos those thoughts must surely go through your mind. Canadian visa or any other visa for that matter is not about what my people would call eyi jÄ™, eyi o jÄ™ which literally means gambling with your chances.

Like the US embassy would say on their website, every visa applicant is seen as an intending immigrant so, the onus is on you to convince and prove them wrong that you're not an intending immigrant in your application by showing strong tiies that could make you eligible. IRCC has basic requirements which are very simple and brief. In case you have other things to submit, they've also created an optional space for that on their online form meaning, they're not compulsory. Don't flog them with junks but attach only relevant optional docs( if need be). If you can work on, and measure up to those compulsory requirements, you're good to go.

In 2021, I was on same flight as a guy from Anambra. We ltook off from Asaba. He asked me in the middle of the flight, please I'm going to Abuja for my visa appointment, is there any hotel close to the airport and not expensive? I told him there are several and if he wouldn't mind, I'd have him lodged in the hotel where I'd be staying. He was so happy. On getting to the hotel, I told the receptionist to give him some discount on the roomrate as he's my colleague . That's the place we use in my company.

In short, I told him to see me in my room once he had settled in. When he came, I sat him down and asked him to act like the applicant while I'd act as the VO. As I was throwing questions at him, he was answering and in the process, I was noting down his errors. He was going to study in America for his Msc. Finally, I asked him...why did you choose that university over others there in the US and why didn't you school here instead or elsewhere, why US? He was saying am,am,am. I now told him to harp on the benefits of studying in US over doing so in Nigeria or elsewhere..also, if the program had some research attached to it which isn't found elsewhere, he should stress that during his interview and emphasise the importance and benefit to him and the country when he returns ( even though I knew he wasn't returning anytime soon, based on his conversation with me). I also told him to say he had applied to other unis in the US( he actually did this) but that particular one he applied to had some benefits over others on that course.

We repeated the process before he went to sleep. During my meeting the following morning with my client, he called me and said his visa had been approved. He told me the VO asked him those questions I threw at him, which he had also memorised and was busy pouring it out, like an expo.

So, sit yourself down, scrutinise your docs before applying. Read widely. Stop enriching agents who don't even know as much as you do, on visa stuffs.

Congratulations.. I assume you meant Biometrics was done 17th November

For sure, they are working on November 2023 applications now.
Yes, they're in November already. Btw, my tech who helped submit my passport for onward dispatch to the ircc for stamping 2 months ago was able to also submit his own today at the vfs, manor house. He said the crowd he saw today of those submitting passport for stamping almost tripled those seen a couple of months back when he submitted mine.

Invariably, those who applied in the last quarter of the year was much, which could have been the reason some applications are taking longer than anticipated. In the end, i pray it ends in joy. The turnout also suggests to me that IRCC dey issue plenti visa daily contrary to the opinion of some.

Keep the hope alive

It's a nonsensical and hypocritic comment.

Firstly, every religion has principles and regulations. If you're not ready to abide by them then you leave. Simple. At least, you should learn to take correction or at least take an L when your attention is called.

Secondly, people have the freedom to criticise whoever does something wrong in their opinion especially if it has to do with their common interest.

Thirdly, you're not a Muslim so what's your business with Muslim matter?

Which yeye principles are you talking about here? I have moslems in my family and they're not fanatics. Live and let live. The lady had explained exactly what happened.

Which principle did former governor of yobe state, Abba bukar Ibrahim who put sharia on his head have, when he said a poor girl should be stoned to death because she commited adultery but was videoed while wearing his singlet in a hotel after furnicatong with 3 whores? Why wasn't he stoned to death after seeing that video? When confronted by the press, he first denied it but after watching the video, he said he's entitled to his privacy...Abeg.

Islam in the north is a sect , not a religous belief or faith. A governor will steal dollars and be left alone while a poor boy who stole a goat would be amputated, what principles are you talking about exactly?
