Forex demand on petroleum products alone is over 55%
Dangote knew exactly what he was saying.
He didn't get to this height my mere assumptions

QED
I see. Remove 25m liters of pms, which is dangote's daily refining capacity from Nigeria's daily consumption of 66m liters. What percentage is the remaining 41m liters?

Daily local consumption is 66m liters. Dangote's daily output is 25m litres. Do the maths.

Not true ....it has always been touted and one of the major selling point for the refinery is that it can take care of the entire local production.

I gather data just like statissens, I organise them, run them on softwares and using basic analytic skills , I analyse numbers...dat is what is called "data Analysis"

Now back to the topic, if u already know numbers concerning the rate of demand of FX by different sectors and subsectors of the economy , why do u think u can't predict the rate of decline of FX by a particular sector or subsectors...

Guy it's very easy...he is an economist, he knows numbers so much..

He knows what he is saying!
OK sir. I may not be as rich as dangote yet but let's do this simple maths. Dangote's daily petrol output is estimated at 25m litres right? Nigeria's daily consumption is estimated at 66m liters. When you deduct the Dangote's output from the daily consumption, who provides the rest...still dangote? This is why fx demand will always be on the table because it has to be imported in order to meet up else, you'd keep seeing queues at petrol stations. Nigeria is a huge nation. This is just the oil and gas sector only. What about the manufacturing and other sectors where fx is always needed? That's why I said dangote should have said 44% reduction in fx demand will be achieved only in his refineries with the naira-based transaction deal. He needs to be specific on that.

Again, dangote is a businessman. He once said his petrol would also be for export and some countries were already showing interest. In a simple term, not all the 25m litres will be reeled into the Nigerian market in the long run.

Olodo. What's Nigeria's local consumption? When you deduct dangote's daily output from it, where is the rest going to come from, moon? The audio local refineries aren't even operational yet.

His production can't meet daily local consumption. He once said his petrol will also be for export. With this, there will still be fx demand by other players. We consume 66m liters daily

PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Naira-For-Crude Policy Will Slash FOREX Demand By 40% — Dangote by Eriokanmi: 3:27pm On Sep 03, 2024
Dangote refinery cannot guarantee that. Because its not the source of the FG's foreign earners. I totally disagree. The birth of the refinery is a way forward but can't also guarantee production for local consumption 100% so, fx demand will continue, including in other sectors like manufacturing.

I'd have reasoned with Dangote, had he said, the policy will slash fx demand by his own refinery by 40% because his refinery won't need to order crude from the Americas anymore, which he'd have paid for in dollars by raking up all the dollars available in our banks and ctreate scarcity of same.

Surely another protest will burst out soon
It's just too sure....

No one can sustain buying fuel at #855....
People will park their vehicles at home
More trekkers on the street
More people will take to public transport
More overloading by drivers

Businesses that use power generator will surely suffer, and many will park up

Another protest bursts out soon, and this one will be so bloody.... Even the security forces will join...
And More business to the ritualists because people will always rush into their vehicles, after waiting at the bus stop for long without seeing a vehicle or the available ones are above their budget. One lady recounted her ordeals recently after she narrowly escaped from their hands through the help of God after boarding their vehicle at the opebi link bridge. They wanted cutting off her breast while the vehicle was on a speedy move. The bra was cut but God rescued her in the process and they pushed her out after shouting consistently.

People please when you see passengers falling asleep in a moving vehicle, take the courage of challenging the driver and stopping the vehicle. The mob will gather and attack them, if they're ritualists. People get missing in Lagos and other states daily oo. We don't know all these cos not all of such incidents would ever make the headlines.

Don't leave your house too early and if you must, be watchful. Pray to God before leaving the house cos they always appear innocent. No lose guard abeg. Our leaders don't give a hoot about the masses oo. They only use and dump masses after elections. Use your sense. My 50 cents

Igba ti a so fun won,won pe wa l'omo yiibo. Tinubu no send anyone. We knew better why we didn't vote him in Lagos. He's only there for his family and associates. Had he increased tax for the rich, we'd have understood better and endured, hoping everything would be fine and the masses won't have to cry.

Those defending this man, una go defend taya oo, cos no solution in sight. He's exhausted all his known strategies and nothing is working, despite removing the subsidy. He's now paying subsidy even in trillions. Buhari came with same tricks which same tinubu taught him. Hope you'd be wise next time.

Students are about to resume. Hope you've paid your children school fees grin. Anyway, I pray God provides for you and you set yourself free from the shackles of bigotry.

Which clique? You're not serious. I don't know anything about crypto. No amount of encouragement would also make me invest in it because it's risky. I put my money where my mouth is as a businessman. All I was saying is, youths make genuine money from it and I know someone who does that and when i say i know, it means I have verifiable evhdence .

He's not into yahoo-yahoo and that doesn't mean yahoo boys aren't everywhere in town living large. As a rich kid who attended a sec schl where they paid 4m naira per term. Investing 2m naira in crypto as a uni student won't be anything to him cos he's always seeing money. In addition, his parents bought him a car to drive to school. PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity: Fewer Vehicles On Nigerian Roads, Falana Laments by Eriokanmi: 7:50am On Sep 02, 2024
2027 has proferred a solution to itself already. No need for lamentations. Anyone who goes to work daily and struggle to catch a bus at bus stops amonth the frustrated mammoth crowd would understand better. The fraud called APC won't happen to Nigeria ever again.

How can they say thunderstorm and rainfall hampered the release or supply of petrol nationwide. They recently made a you turn of their lies and said scarcity was due to the activities of smugglers at the border as if the neighbouring countries too don't import petrol for use by their people, as if customs at border post are on holiday. Before you get to idi iroko border, you won't drive past 2 posts before you're caught if you smuggle fuel. Customs are in bushes too. I hope at the end of their 4 years, they'd not blame economic sabotage for their failure.

That's what happens when you say it's your turn and you forced yourself into power. The consequences are what we're seeing today. God factor had been thrown off. All his strategies had been exhausted yet, nothing is working. The last time I checked, subsidy is gone! The queues at the stations and the subsidy paid monthly, are unprecedented in the history of Nigeria today.
BusinessRe: Fintech Chief, Dozy Mmobuosi Fined $250 Million For Fraud In The US by Eriokanmi:
The way Kenya hacked another Nigerian who owns a popular fintech back then, the fine was huge and people were calling him names here because he's yoruba. He was acused of fraud also before he was able to challenge it and cleared his name. This guy too should do the same. To all the illiterates towing the paths of tribalism above, Dapo Abiodun's aide, who defrauded the American government is eating beans right now in America.

The werey even wanted to run for a federal house of reps position in ogun which had been earmarked for him unopposed.

So, fraud isn't peculiar to a particular tribe or ethnicity. US citizens and firms had been fined heavily in the past too. I remember Mark Zuckerberg and co.

This guy should challenge the fine in court. Ronaldo and Mesi which all of you are seeing as mentors had been fined too for tax evasion fraud and I wonder why you didn't call them names. Stop hate. Stop tribalism....this message is for both ibos and yorubas most especially.

I was thinking same way while reading the news post. Osimeh wouldn't have been anything without Napoli. He was given a level playing ground and the opportunity to grow. Now, he messed up the whole thing. Na greed dey kill our boys. I hope his career won't end abruptly with the current development. Ronaldo wey go Saudi, na retirement money him go collect. He had made his money. You're still a hustler, you for stay for your Napoli jeejely cos Chelsea na dream killer. How many of his peers are earning his kind of money in Europe? What a wasted opportunity.

To God be the glory. Atheists are ignorant of the reality about God. It's not their fault. The devil who wants to destroy them is busy working out his plans on them because they gave him the chance. Only the fortunate among them truly escape the devil's antics. After all, the Lord said He'd have mercy on whom He'd have mercy and nobody can question Him on this.
