Shattuck:They asked her for money for testing, when the govt was said to have made provision for same money, just imagine. Corruption in our sports is too much kai! No matter how good you are, if you don't bribe, they'd not enlist you. Ofili had to choose her words carefully so she doesn't become a sprinter of yesterday. You see why many of them don't like representing Nigeria? Have you wondered why they always go for foreign players even though some of them can't do better than local players? We seriously yearn for a good leader who will undo all these nonsense. |
princeade86:That's going to prolong the protest duration, from 10 days maybe to several months becauae it will fuel the anger in the land. They had better not try it. Thugs could be overpowered by the angry mob so, they're taking that job from politicians at their own risk. |
helinues:You made sense for the first time. I remember our uncle for lagos who had 3 private jets. Bill gates as rich as he is can't even think of owning more than one. They've all failed the masses |
Sex....destroying destinies since the beginning of the world |
You need to learn. Who same faith ticket epp |
Namaster:You can say that again. We knew all these beforehand and the reason we've been shouting from day one and they called us names |
Fake news. CP Egbetokun has said Nigeria is safer today than it was last year. I just pity those supporting these bad men in government. They lie openly without shame |
Jflex07:This is a proof they know what's right but will deliberately not do it. When I say these moronns are anti people, I'm always right |
Nefort:I'm in support of the protest 100% bit not a violent one. Let's believe and hope the police will conduct themselves professionally cos they too are feeling the impact of the economic woes. |
Nefort:This is inappropriate pls. Mods do your job |
Orisablog:It's a Muslim name culled from Dawoud or Daud or David is xtianity |
Yeeeees. I've been waiting for this move ucle Dohhhh. Now the race has just begun. Omoluabi Eko! It's Lagos turn |
But why didn't you do this before the election last year to predict Tinubu'a failed government? Attention seekers |
Offpoint1:Free Jersey and 1k on top. Useless party |
Na that kain tin dem dey see dem, dey flex muscle on top. Go fight boko boys for borno, na lie. Okay, go north West fight turji and his co-bandits, na to dey dodge . Mtcheew! |
Set awon sponsored alagbado |
Efuaye:See all the almanjiris they gathered . I never knew there were so much number of female Muslims in abia and imo states. So, why are the SE Muslims shouting marginalisation and persecution? ![]() When I say Tinubu's followers are illiterates, e get why. Why not look for Christians and put under imo and abia states and make it look real? ![]() |
Believeintruth:Why did you respond to SmartyPants? They're like when dogs are barking while your response is like throwing stones at them. Don't you know he who keeps throwing stones at every dog that barks won't get to his destination on time, if at all he gets there eventually? So, not all comments are worth your precious time and response. You just read and ignore. I get plenti work for my desk like dis. They're more important than wasting time on such people. Time is so precious to me |
Kenya, the soon-to-be giants of Africa. This I've seen. Nigerians must not allow this to happen |
Better. No violent protest e joo. Protest peacefully. It's in line with our constitution |
What will the great grandpa tell atiku, who also endorsed the protest bayi? PO stands with the masses or does he expect him to discourage the protest before? |
Fairman |
Good news! |
Ogbonna24:Why not give protesters benefit of the doubt? They're going to conduct themselves peacefully. Police and army are there to tackle hoodlums. That's their job. Dialogue won't work in a situation like this when everyone had been pushed to the wall. Where did you get fuel in town to reach office this morning, if you're one of the employed few in the country? |
helinues:Credit for distributing rice? What happens after the rice finishes? Who provides money for the ingredients? Look at those collecting the rice for the media's sake...they look neat and clean like someone travelling overseas. Those are the ones who will share the rice in congos to the ragged almanjiris in town. They're probably government officials or village heads. The Congo will only last a few days, after which hunger will resume. |
Asonaijaaso:What happens when the rice finishes? They're ain't getting it. How many homes will it also get to? Where will they get the money to buy soup ingredients ![]() |
HypocriticalObi:Read the below and tell us which tribe the girl seller in Libya is, who was recently caught. It's still hot on the internet. Happy reading https://www.nairaland.com/8164002/nigerian-man-buys-sells-girls |
Chinkoalhaji34:Yes, because his price will expose the NNPC corruption in the sector if they didn't monopolise the midstream and Downstream by taking over. They've been running up and down, threatening dangote since he made that announcement that his petrol would hit the market by August. Imagine the same people who alleged that his products were substandard, to now be the only organisation to buy dangote fuel . If you no gerit, forgerrit |
datola:I pray oo. Make dem no buy at 5 naira and sell at 7 naira oo. This could be the reason they've been fighting this man, after he said his petrol would hit the market in August. It will be a bad market for the nnpc and their substandard imported fuel. There will be a huge price difference which will further expose corruption in the sector but they're trying their best to avoid that. Awon ole |
Ha! I'm short of words. But certainly if the leader is good, the followers will follow suit . Yesterday it was a yoruba man selling girls in Libya and today, an ibo man. Crime knows no tribe. |
We can all see today that, the reverse is the case. What had the subsidy removal yielded so far? 1) Many homes have been thrown into poverty, including the homes of the keyboard warriors on Nairaland who are supporting this evil government but only suffering and smiling. 2) A lot of SMEs have closed shop thereby throwing millions into unemployment, directly or indirectly 3) A lot of our youths have left the country after losing their jobs 4) inflation has been in it's highest peak since independence. 5) Insecurity has increased due to hardship in the land. 6) Many ladies now do hook up to augment their earnings while guys have taken to vices 7) Life has become so hard for many as they can't even move around with their vehicles anymore 8 ) Nigerian government now pays subsidy in trillions. 9) No single kobo was saved as a result of the subsidy removal. Lastly, when they say karma is real, only fools will differ. Tinubu hit the streets during Jonathan era and disrupted a peaceful and progressive government with a robust GDP, just because he said he wanted to remove subsidy for the benefits of all. Jonathan had even provided palliatives and set up a Sure-P programme for the reinvestment of the subsidy proceeds ahead of the removal. He sent buses to states nationwide but you discouraged fashola ftom accepting the ones sent to Lagos. You called gej unprintable names, sponsored protests nationwide with our state's funds. Many gullible and tribalistic bigots swallowed his propaganda hook, line and sinker just to hijack power. Kayode fayemi corroborated this political gang up a few months ago during a gathering in which GEJ was in attendance, he said the protest was political. After hijacking power, you now brought up same subsidy removal even without a single palliative in place. People now want to protest and you're busy bribing fake groups to discourage it. This protest will probably be the longest and widest in the history of Africa. No home is spared from the current economic woes. All those who revolted against Jonathan back then, using insecurity, kidnaping and other means are now in the apc, holding key positions. Atahiru Jega the former inec chair has recently joined them, l'obatan. After all Orubebe was right when he was accusing him in the collation room. Why is it only Nigeria that's hardest hit by the so-called global inflation in africa? Karma is the answer. |
