I was one of those who voted him in 2015. I spent my time and energy canvassing people for him. We're wiser now. If I were to choose between buhari and tinubu in terms of integrity, I'd go for buhari still. Sadly, age and ill health affected his administration.
He also chose the wrong people to work with him. I knew him personally apart from what he did in the 80s. If we must support our own, where's Osinbajo? Where's fashola? If you ask his blind supporters, they'd tell you he has the right as every Nigerian to contest. The whole world already has his resume in their palms. Are we not ashamed? That's their choice and I have made my choice. In fashola's voice when asked why he's not campaigned for his boss...I mind my business. Many people aren't seeing Tinubu's so called popularity in the south west the way we see it. If he's so popular, why did he lose his home state cos apc's loss is equally his loss...despite being the ruling party in the state. But urchins will still tell you he'd win all the south western States as if they're the only ones who would vote on election day . We shall see.

I've known buhari since when my boss was alive. He always lodged in his macdonalds ikoyi home, he trusted him so much. Buhari can wear a shoe for a year he doesn't care. Very strict with spending. We need someone who would drag us out of this mess, not someone who would worsen it. Nigeria may collapse anytime. Nobody can say they're not feeling it.

I'm not among them. I'd vote Peter Obi, me and my folks. It's a personal decision. My group had conducted a medical outreach for Obidatti23 in Lagos last year. We spent our money and resources to support someone who's not of our tribe, someone who doesn't even know us. We believe in him. It's high time Nigerians looked beyond tribe or ethnicity in electing a leader. Buhari is a northerner. His givernment didn't favour them. I remember Nadabo energy, owmed by a known person. He was found culpable in that scam. There are several companies also colluding with nnpc today on this scam. You must be living in a dungeon to say prices are uniform across Nigeria. Even here in lagos, prices per liter isn't same again. Some sell 250, NNPC sells a but less than 170, while major marketers sell btw 270 and 172 respectively. What's the highest price per liter of gas in the US? Convert it to naira and compare it to how much they sell here , let's see.

The solutions to this scam.is simple. Privatise Nnpc like they did telecoms sector, issue licences to.private firms to build refineries with the fed govt acting as a regulator. Had nitel remained nitel today, you'd not have had the opportunity to by typing trash from your phone today.

Subsidy is a scam. It doesn't exist. America sells almost same price as we sell petrol per litre today. Who is deceiving who?

When they increased petrol price to 145 naira a liter, what did they tell Nigerians about subsidy? Google will give you the details. Later they still said they were still paying subsidy. Privatise nnpc and the rot will be over.

I remember nitel in those days. Without privatisation of the sector, people like you wouldn't have had access to telecomms today . David Mark, the then minister of telecommunication said nitel wasn't meant for the poor. You've got to have enough money to own a nitel line in those days. Privatise nnpc, our refineries, give licence to people to build their own refineries...not the kind of selective issuance of modular refinery licence as seen today and see petrol flow like water at ridiculously low prices. The fed govt should own a fraction if it and act as a regulator.

That secor is built in scam. Nigerians are just suffering for nothing. While other oil exporting counties made real good of their oil proceeds, the reverse is the case here.

I know of a guy here in lagos who was shouting baba, baba in 2019. They gave him.l money to share with his people at the wards level. He was so happy. His wife got pregnant and by time she was to put to bed, she was admitted to a popular general hospital on the mainland. She had a PIH with other serious health conditions. Her legs were swolen. It was concluded that she'd need to do CS . The general hospital had no anaesthesia machine, no functional equipment. They now rushed the woman to our facility. He was charged 700k. He ran everywhere, he said no money as low as the bill was. CS a facility like ours starts from 2m with such conditions. Not even a politician he was supporting could help him. Eventually, he was asked to pay 600k and leave the balance when he was crying like a baby. He may aven be a nairaland member here. He's very popular. I just pretended as if I didn't know him ni.

There was a patient who died at lagos Island maternity hospital in 2018. The vitals showed he was pretty fine meanwhile, his body had become stiff. The anaesthetist later found out he had died. They now invited us to look at what happened. Guess what? The patient was a VVIP. A relation to a popular federal lawmaker. The same lawmaker donated that patient monitor on which the patient died to the hospital. It was a substandard Chinese monitor, maybe as part of his constituency project. He fumed , saying he'd arrest those who killed his cousin. By the time they told him he died on the fake patient monitor he supplied, he mellowed.

That's what you get when you vote based on sentiments. Why not collect the money and vote your conscience?

Don't mind him. He said on channels last night that, people should stop endorsing candidates based on religion( referring to obj endorsing obi). Whereas, obi never put religion on his head like kwakwanso. Obi goes to churches, mostly on invite and he never preached religous politics. He's say vote based on your conscience and vote competency. Dont vote me cos I'm a Christian. But kwakwanso goest to mosques, always preaching religious politics.

Kwakwanso said clearly during the merger talks that, obi can't win in the north because the north won't vote a Christian from the south. He should have said kano and other core northern states won't vote obi instead, which we all know. He still thinks they can manipulate other northern states during elections as they used to do in the past.

The only detribalised Nigerian I know today among our leaders is Obj. He's endorsed more Muslims than Christians in history. Kwakwanso keeps pretending not to be a religous bigot when it's clear to all that he is one. He'd regret not allowing the merger talk work till his old age cos that would have been his greatest opportunity to be vice president and later president of our great country. He never saw the cureent political trend coming and that's fulani for you. They don't foresee the future.

Na ego dey kill most African leaders. See Joe biden work with Obama, a first black and young presidential candidate for that matter,with no experience. Biden had been in government since the apartheid days. He played a major role in the release of mandrla and independence of South Africa. The likes of kwakwanso should be an undergraduate that time. The way I'm seeing this trend, every member of the different political parties that formed the apc ahead of 2015 polls are now returning home, after destroying Nigeria's economy. Kwakwanso will re-conquer Kano, katsina too in the next election.

Can the apc say Nigeria is better today than they met it in 2015 economically, security-wise, in development, to name a few? The security situation was not this bad when they cried foul in 2015. North West was quite safe then, other parts of the country too. Imagine iswap attempting to kill the president 3 times...in Kaduna, Daura and now Kogi? Where exactly had the terrorists been technically defeated in Nigeria, when they keep holding sway? What happened recently in Kogi was an emberassment to the apc and Africa giants.

APC will only become a regional ( south west) party soon.

I see many of their sponsors fleeing the country. Tinubu would only pamper them. Even the lagos he's claiming to have done wonders by cornering the achievements of buba marwa , pa jakande, oyinlola, Otedola, etc to himself is grappling with insecurity. Come to lagos and see what we're facing daily. People get kidnapped daily but you won't hear of it in the news.

We need a true leader in Nigeria. I remember Datti-Baba Ahmed saying those terrorising Nigeria are foreigners with in-house sponsors and buhari knows about it. He said that's the reason he left the former party before 2015 formation of the APC. .

My friend in the North by the name Ibeto, who's a key supporter of the apc from 2015 till date and also in the presidential campaign team of tinubu had left the apc today, many more will follow suit this month. Google Ibeto and his reason for leaving the apc. This alone should worry urchins. I see apc becoming a regional party after the 2023 polls. Everybody is returning to their formation ahead of the 2015 elections already, after destroying the country's economy.
