There's no place within Nigeria that exceeds one hour, even from Lagos to maiduguri.

Many flights within Europe and Asia is not even up to $100, why should Lagos to Enugu that's not more than 30 minutes should cost 500k?

This is true. Imagine paying 300usd on a one way flight in the US for a short istance trip. Though airfares depend on distance and season at times. From Baltimore in Mayland, a spirit airlines once charged 500usd to Los Angeles, which is almost same diatance as Lagos to the UK or south africa route.

US isn't Nigeria that hits wrong targets. Days ago, US carried out an aerial surveillance over the Nigerian territory from Ghana before the strike. It was part of the move to prevent civilian casualties

Nigeria’s image has been dragged into a category it has never openly occupied before.

And this could have been avoided months ago.

If the leadership had acted with precision.
If they had controlled the narrative.
If they had managed the media.
If they had crushed the insurgents quietly and decisively.

But they failed. Completely.

From the security adviser.
To the army command.
To the media handlers.
To the presidential circle.
Up to the president himself.

They failed first to control the story.
They failed to counter propaganda.
They failed, most importantly, to end the insurgency.

Now it has spilled beyond our control.

Inside Nigeria, life feels normal.
People are dancing, posting, moving on.

But outside Nigeria, the picture is different.
To the international community, Nigeria is now being associated with terrorism.

Terrorism they have neglected since 2009

Travel restrictions are only the first signal.

Clearing this image will not be easy.
It will require the government to go all in.

Diplomatically. Militarily. Politically. Media-wise.

They must prove, that Nigeria is safe again.

Im not a fan of America, despite schooling there and visiting the country frequently. President trump is one person and the system is another entity. It always runs, with or without him in government. He cannot isolate himself from the system.

When they said they'd get bin laden dead or alive, they did. Obama could be the president but the system carried out the mission. When trump said he'd kill sulemani, the system did, not trump even though he's the president. He was killed with an unmanned drone after monitoring his movement via the satellite,up to a safe place while driving on the road to avoid casualties.

When trump said he'd invade Nigeria, not him speaking for himself, but on behalf of the system. It was deliberated upon in their Congress before they concluded. Nigeria lies a lot. The ibori they said wasn't corrupt in Nigeria was jailed in london.

When buhari was in power The UAE arrested, charged and jailed some boko haram couriers. Instead of the then FG to appreciate their effort, they said they weren't given a fair hearing, that they were wrongfully jailed, that they should extradite them to Nigeria for proper handling of the case but the UAE refused. Most recently in kwara. The wife of the governor came out and said the police repelled the attacks of the terrorists in Eruku, that no life was lost. But the viral video of the livestreaming event in the church in which people were killed shut her mouth. That's Nigeria for you. Boko haram would kill several people but they'd say only one person.got injured. How many times would you continue to believe their lies? The news they always bury locally are always being exposed by the international media. In coming days, you'd see shege.

America said they bombed the Iranian nuclear facility and they debunked it for days, after which the satellite images received confirmed this and iranian top givernment officials confirmed it. I can go on and on. On the attack on Nigeria, they had proofs and reiterated it was a perfect job done. Only in Nigeria would people still behave in a crude manner despite the advancement in technology. Smh!
