iCauseTrouble:
Bro, No one size fit all for this. it just depends on the type of the domain and the protection / personality of the domain owner.
For the low end brandables I have, I can afford to leave them without privacy but when I start having super premium domains, I may decide to use privacy because I will want to be protected. I may not want my personal info to be revealed on the domain.
All these differ forpersons and scenarios

That's true. Thanks

iCauseTrouble:
I do not want to report this sale before so as to allow peace to reign as I have always been attacked anytime I report a sale.
I think using whois privacy has both advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation but I have been lucky for not using privacy for some of my domains.
This indian guy contacted me for this domain name and we haggled from $600 to $1300.
The domain name could have been my first Rooted. Com sale. I listed it for $1995 on Rooted. When I thought that Rooted will take 25%, I had to let it go for $1300.
I set up the transaction on DAN, the guy paid immediately. DAN commission for the transaction is 5% and I have $1235 transferred to me.

Congrats chief.

What do u think are the advantages and disadvantages of using whois privacy?

Because I have my 9ja number and address der..

5moths hold.
Picked from Deleted list
Negotiated from $2k inbound offer.

I initially received an offer through whois privacy mail a month earlier before this sale from a developer/domainer saying his client is interested and has a budget of $1.5k. I totally ignored the offer because of his presentation, he said in his mail that he knew "it's a few month old".. I was like "and so what?".
Exactly a month later, I received a $2k offer thru afternic broker while my asking price was just $6.5k. After some back and forth, we settled for $4.7k.

Goodluck to y'all

Congrats chief.

You receiving offer thru whois privacy means u unlock ur Domains for buyers to access ur true identity right?

Ok. I apologize to everyone.

My only advise for u is to stop sch at the moment and focus in hustling before you proceed. If u are already in sch.. hustle hard.

I went thru the 4 walls of the university without anyone contributing a dime...

With Fiverr, upwork, domain busi, den running Affiliate marketing for some persons who had stores. I go to their shop, snap pictures of phone accessories and repost online. Before I later had enough cash to start my own offline busi..
I was even among the big boys in sch....

Just focus for hustle now, later u go sch...

Sch no de run leave person...

A guy called me from Afternic 2days ago. He gave me some tips on how to price my domains and increase revenue over time...

At the end of the call he promised to send an email about all we talked about. But for some reasons I haven't received any email from them till this moment.
