It's better to unlock privacy for names you ain't outbounding for.

MultiChoice Nigeria has increased the prices of its DStv and GOtv packages.

MultiChoice Nigeria is a subsidiary of MultiChoice Africa, who owns DStv and GOtv.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the company attributed the increase in price to inflation and the increasing cost of doing business in Nigeria.

“In light of the rising costs of inflation and business operations, we have had to review the price of our packages to keep delighting our customers with great entertainment, anytime and anywhere.

“Therefore, from April 1, 2022, a new pricing regime for both our DStv and GOtv packages will be in effect,” it said.

According to Multichoice, the priced of its DStv packages are as follows:

Premium (N21,000)

Compact + (N14,250)

Compact (N9,000)

Confam (N5,300)

Yanga (N2,950)

Padi (N2,150),

Business (N2,669)

Xtraview + PVR access fee (N2,900)

The new prices for GOtv packages are:

Gotv Max (N4,150)

GOtv Jolli (N2,800)

GOtv Jinja (N1,900),

To cushion the price adjustments, Multichoice said customers who pay before April 1, 2022, would be eligible to pay the old price.

When someone gives a sales report revealing the name of what he sold, it means he's ok with anyone registering a similar name or that same name in hyphenated or plural version or a different extension of that similar name.

I've seen people's sales that was motivated by other people's sales report within this thread and outside so don't make it seem as if the guy who registered that name committed a crime.

The person that sold the non-hyphenated version of that name is a boss in the system and for him to have posted that sales report, he no mind if person register the hyphenated version or a different extension or a similar keyword.

Bro, No one size fit all for this. it just depends on the type of the domain and the protection / personality of the domain owner.
For the low end brandables I have, I can afford to leave them without privacy but when I start having super premium domains, I may decide to use privacy because I will want to be protected. I may not want my personal info to be revealed on the domain.

I think using whois privacy has both advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation but I have been lucky for not using privacy for some of my domains.
This indian guy contacted me for this domain name and we haggled from $600 to $1300.
The domain name could have been my first Rooted. Com sale. I listed it for $1995 on Rooted. When I thought that Rooted will take 25%, I had to let it go for $1300.
I set up the transaction on DAN, the guy paid immediately. DAN commission for the transaction is 5% and I have $1235 transferred to me.
