He explained that he was 'a bit aggressive' at his presidential flag-off in Lagos because he had been provoked by statements from the opposition before that date. |
OREMUSSANCTUS:I can see u are already even dying. May God not let u die before any of them so that you would learn the hard way that death does not come with age. Just because of Jona who is neither your father or ur father's brother, u are wishing someone else death. If u were responsible, u won't post stupid messages like this. I wonder when u became God to know when people would die. |
Beehshorp:If at this stage, you are still brainwashed to see like this and reason this way, then I beat my chest to say some people are a misfortune to this country. I really feel sorry for you. I am from south-south but I don't reason like a lizard. |
naijaking1:Bros, it is painful that you only hear things from the enemies of Nigeria like Edwin Clark and then conclude. If u had waited patiently till last night (and had not slept off), you would have watched live when Jega said he had never met with any group like he was accused of by Jega. He also slammed the media for not investigating the accusation before publishing the story and that it was because he was too busy, he would have gone to court. I want to tell you that we journalists (I inclusive) are part of the problems facing this country. I often tell my colleagues that we cannot be exonerated if anything happened to this country as a result of this election because we daily light the ember of discord with the way we write our stories to satisfy the sponsors just for percuniary reasons. It is shameful and that is why one must digest a story well before believing it. |
Taylor86:Yeah!!! Free punny, but remember it is also an opportunity for free HIV, Herpes, and other deadly sexually transmitted diseases. #FeBUHARI for me!!! |
Taylor86:Yeah!!! Free punny, but remember it is also an opportunity for free HIV, Herpes, and other deadly sexually transmitted diseases. |
brainpower:When u say Osinbajo's CAN and PFN abandoned him, please remember to add that these pastors were allegedly giving billions of naira to betray themselves and Nigerians. Thanks. |
bestestgirl:This is just an opinion which can be written and sent by any individual. It is not the view of Sahara Reporters and that is why the person's name is there for u to see. |
The average Buhari supporter would not be shocked by this boycott. In fact, I was telling some friends four days ago that were I Buhari, I would not attend the debate. See what happened in 2011. It is not like those commenting here do not remember, but they want to be mischievous. Again, how can the debate group prove their nrutrality when the members either belong to PDP or are loyalists of the PDP? Need I mention Raymond Dokpesi of AIT. Then see BON, NTA and the rest. See how AIT has gone against the ethics of the profession in the quest to sell Jonathan! Abeg, you guys must consider yourselves as human beings and think straight jare! |
BokoHaramm:Bros, that is a lie. I followed the tweets by The Nation and I didn't see anything of such throughout that day. Maybe u got it from a cloned The Nation. |
Supporters of the PDP are truly desperate. So they fail to see the truth. Very dumb. They should try and come up with another allegation. |
It is saddening that some Nigerians would see the current situation of the country and continue to act as if all is well. We should always remember that we have children who would love to live in this country called Nigeria. As I am now, there is nothing you can dig out against Buhari that will change my opinion. Nothing. So just get tired of rooting out irrelevances and ask ur candidate to face real issues. Thanks. |
JudismphD:Alibaba is very correct. I am a journalist and can confirm that the amount is true. A wrap-around is at least N20 million depending on the newspaper. |
Unfortunate. This is why it is always good to use the pedestrian bridges located across the state. So saddening. |
She's always in front of her husband. Never beside. And that is why people believe she is the one ruling the country and not oga Jona. |
Dancing his way to Otuoke for sure. |
The way some of u react to stories on NL gets me ashamed. We are educated for God's sake. First, the OP misled readers here by attributing them to the APC when, of course, the story did not say so. He crafted a wrong headline for the story. Then in a haste to comment, many refused to discern the intention of the OP before commenting. A big shame on those who attribute the story to APC. If by tomorrow it is discovered to be caused by angry PDP youths, what would be the consequence of this misinformation? |
When I first read President Jonathan's comment calling elderstatesmen touts, I told myself that statement is unpresidential. He is always mentioning America but he refuses to take a clue. President Obama is often criticised, but he never returns insults for criticisms. He would tackle issues and continue to drum his administration's policies on the people till they get convinced. Here we have a president that doesn't mind his choice of words, yet he wants people to trust him. |
fitzmayowa:Bros, that crowd was drawn from various states of the country. |
I think Jonathan and the PDP are in a better position to tell us. Jonathan and the PDP should also tell us their relationship with the Association of Witches and Wizards who endorsed him sometime ago. |
By May 29, 2015, Jonathan would move to Otuoke where he would be president of Otuoke Kingdom This is my sincere prayer and I pray so in Jesus name, amen. |
adedayourt: Bros, make u sef dey read so that fake journalists no go dey deceive you. That story is planted and I have shown some evidence to proove that. There's a picture of Buhari with the Bishop of Canterbury taken just last year. |
Can u see Buhari with the Archbishop of Canterbury And this was last year...so how did the journalist get his story? Na these people dey destroy journalism with fake stories.
|
See planted story...a source in the know. This story is not true at all. When we went to interview Pastor Tunde Bakare towards the end of last year, I remember him say he travelled to London with two other people where they met Buhari who was holidaying there and they tried to convince him to return to Nigeria and slug it out in 2015. So how did this half-baked journalist get his information? |
Many of the things wey this man talk don happen pass na.... |
I am a journalist and would not believe this story. It is as speculative as the story concerning the Buhari certificate scam. Any story whose source is not named may be planted by anybody. Moreover, we do not need anyone to remind us the current sorry state of Nigeria. |
Top 10 quotes from Rev. Fr. Mbaka’s tirade against GEJ (READ) by Azubuike Azikiwe Rev. Father. Ejike Mbaka, the founder of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, is awfully displeased with President Goodluck Jonathan. Only two months ago, the cleric annointed First Lady, Patience Jonathan, and prophesied that her husband would win his re-election in February. However, he seems to have had a change of heart, going by his prediction during the end-of-year Adoration mass to usher in 2015. Delivering a sermon tagged, “From Good luck to Bad luck”, Father Mbaka urged Nigerians to vote out Jonathan, while adding that he got a revelation from God, which proved that the president would lose at the presidential election. We present to you, 10 noteworthy quotes from his diatribe against GEJ 1. “All the other birds I released flew away but the healthiest of them, which is Jonathan’s bird, could not fly. I tried to make it fly but it could not fly.” 2. “NEPA is not working because of corruption. The privatization of public companies has not yielded any fruit because of corruption.” 3. “Jonathan surrounded himself with very corrupt officers who advise him. Nigerians are sick and tired of wasting innocent lives without government doing enough to stop the destruction.” 4. “President Goodluck Jonanthan has disappointed Nigerians and means no good anymore for the country.” 5. “I love President Goodluck Jonathan and I used to be his ardent fan, but I want good for my people and that’s why I want Nigerians to vote out Goodluck Jonathan and vote General Muhammad Buhari. I don’t care if Buhari is a Muslim and from the North; all I care about it’s that Buhari can save Nigeria.” 6. “Nigerians are calling for change. We need a change,” he repeated. “We don’t want to move from bad luck to bad luck; Nigerians want to move from bad luck to good luck.” 7. “The men of God only go there to dine and wine with the leaders for their own welfare without telling them the truth. But I’m happy that I, Fr. Mbaka, I’m not that type of priest. If you want money, I dash you money because the God I serve has blessed me abundantly.” 8. “I don’t know Buhari. I have never sat with him before. I am not being partisan, but I want total change in Nigeria.” 9. “Buhari cannot make Nigeria an Islamic country because we are in democracy. It was IBB government that dragged Nigeria into OIC. When Buhari fought corruption, people became careful about their actions. Anyone who says Buhari will Islamise Nigeria is not being fair.” 10. “If a northerner will rule the country and insecurity will stop, so be it. If a Yoruba man will rule Nigeria in 2015 and we have peace and stop the shedding of innocent blood, so be it. Nigerians are tired of wasting innocent lives.” |
Nigerian army says they have Buhari’s certificate Posted on January 3, 2015 Yesterday, a military source told Vanguard that the military does not have Gen. Buhari’s certificate. Today, the director of public relations of the Nigerian Army Brigadier Olaleye Lajide, dismissed the reports, saying the military have his academic records, that they’re just waiting for him to apply for it From Sahara Reporters The military spokesman made the disclosure while responding to a text message from SaharaReporters seeking clarification about the status of Mr. Buhari’s records. Brigadier Lajide affirmed that the Nigerian Army is in possession of all records of serving, retired and deceased officers since its inception. He added, however, that all military officers are supposed to keep original copies of their certificates. According to him, in the event where an officer loses his or her original copy of records, the concerned officer must officially apply for copies from the army. He stated that the army responds to such requests in an expeditious manner. Brigadier Lajide told our correspondent that he was a former director of records at the Nigerian Army headquarters and had seen records of older and retired generals. He added that he was in no doubt that General Buhari’s records were intact. Brigadier Olaleye insisted that the claim in a major Nigerian newspaper, that the army could not locate Mr. Buhari’s record was untrue. |
