1. Airbag indicator - Some vehicles (Tokumbos) have had some of the airbags deployed in previous accidents and after replacing the panels, the sensors are either not replaced or most cases not factory set (Optimised), so the result is after a while the sign keeps popping up.

2. For the smell; the fuel filter IS NOT A SENSOR its simply a filter and can be replaced for at most 1k. The real issue here is what you can have taken care of if you will follow my advise;

Get a very good rewire (Not some computer diagnostic person please!!), tell him to service your injector and nuzzles (you dont need to buy or change any of them - just the spray for cleaning N250 per can). After cleaning those things, then he will reset the system by tunning to make sure you have a balanced air/fuel ratio and you can drive happily.

Our problem usually with cars like these (Acura, lexus, Toyota, etc) is that we think its a Mechanic's job to handle injector and Nuzzles, its a rewire's job because thats when they can reset the whole system to be in tune with your vacuum system, air/fuel ratio, etc -

Dont get me wrong, the computer people do some work BUT, they concentrate more on diagnostics than repairs and we also both know what those costs are. They spend more time learning to use the computers than repairs (I know this for a fact)

Got ya. However, what happens to the faulty sensor? Does it mean after the rewire service the injector and Nuzzle everything will be fine? The diagnostics detected two faults.

1. Is the faulty sensor and
2. Is the injector and Nuzzle (Fuel Filter) that is not working properly.

Eros, there are a myriad of sensors in any car, you don't state which particular sensor you're after.

Thats very correct.

If its rough idle or non-rev.ing, its likely to be the Air Intake Valve, there is also the Throttle/Air Intake Idle Valve AND the Idle Speed Control Valve.

Its essential you state the actual problem you are having, so one can recommend and suggest.

Thanks for your response. I did a diagnostics on the car yesterday which was originally to detect the fault with the side airbags becos the indicator was always popping up on the dashboard.

When the diagnosis was done, the guy detected that the fuel filter was not working properly and the sensor on the right side (i.e. in front of the car) was faulty. Hence, the reason why the side airbags warning kept popping up. Besides, i noticed whenever i start the ignition, there is this unpleasant smell from the engine.

So, which exact sensor do you recommend i buy to replace the faulty one? Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

1, It is only in Lagos, that a passenger will not have money, but will enter a bus, and instead of begging, will be cursing and fighting conductor and driver. At the end of the day and the noise, he(and even she) will get to his(her) destination without paying a kobo, depending on how 'mad' he/she is.
2, It is only in Lagos that two people will be publicly fighting and cursing one another in public transport, one old enough to be another's grand mother
3, It is only in Lagos that if a car slightly bashes another, the car driver/owner will stop in the middle of the road, fighting or exchanging tantrums for hours at times, causing unnecessary traffic jam instead of parking to the side of the road and settling the dispute. This is a very common sight, even in VI, and among corporate people too.

Naija pips are very baffling to say the least. They will cry that they dont want a V6 Accord, yet they will fall over each other to buy a Honda Pilot Jeep yet the engine of a V6 Accord and a Pilot is almost the same. The Camry V6 too, they dont want. Yet they can almost trade their uncle for a 4Runner which is a base V6 Engine
