Barely three years after this car costs three times the previous price. At 9.8 million, one can buy three of this car in 2020, with enough change to paint the town red.

Working with this advise will save your company this type of drama. Whether Nigerians like to stick with one contact person or not is none of your business.

Your company has a model, set rules and regulations, so when any customer comes to fix their car, they MUST abide by the rules to get the best of service.

Especially, when you charge an arm and leg.

Just curious, but have you investigated what it would cost to get the software update at the dealer? You could do this and provide the information to the customer as a measure of goodwill. If it's a non significant cost (although nothing dealer related is), you may even decide to eat the cost
One other thing since you are undoubtedly following a US shop template and setting up best practices. I think you should consider hiring a good service advisor who has experience in customer relations and has technical knowledge to interface with customers and explain stuff in layman terms. This position also serves as quality control for repair plans. Best practice has found that actively working techs are not the best interface with customers, besides, their time is money. It also helps that the customer has only one point of contact/the same point of contact throughout their experience at your shop. Wishing you the best as you build your business in our difficult Nigerian environment.

Do not go the concrete way... Do an iron tank stand of about 16-18ft for optimum pressure level and it cost about 110 to 150,000. This stand can take up to 4 tanks (ensure to discuss this with your welder before contracting the work out)...

Ps: the price maybe cheaper if you want just a 2 tank stand max or even 1tank.

As for the advice against concrete: it's different shades of wahala

To me, the stanchion (steel type) is the more easy to construct, cheaper and durable as well. It stands the test of time if well braced and properly constructed.
The demerit concrete method has is that most time, water seeps on the base of the concrete which weakens its strength. Though in terms of stability, especially when big water tanks are to be put in place, concrete is better

The oxygen sensor in front bis bad, bank1 sensor 1 .(pic attached)

For the transmission ensure the cooler lines are installed properly . If they are ensure you are using the right fluid if you are then it is possible the transmission is on its last lap.

P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

HO2S (A/F sensor) S1 heater circuit malfunction

What do I need to fix or replace?

The transmission always stalls, which makes he car drive slow, whenever I drive for about 2 - 3 hours or when the engine becomes very hot.

My 2005 Honda Civic A.C. suddenly cools sometimes and does not cool at other times. I noticed, it cools in the morning, but does not cool in the afternoon/evening. Although, it cools sometimes in the afternoon/evening.

What can be the problem?

The best AC technician in Ibadan is opposite NTA at Agodi. He is pricey but gets the job done. Used him twice on my different cars and was not disappointed. He has all the gadgets to diagnose any fault on the AC.

Good afternoon Gazzuzz,

My 2003 Acura MDX is not starting. I got a diagnostics guy to scan it yesterday but it could not be scanned. Please what could be the problem?

Background to how the problem started:

3 weeks back, the SUV will not start, got my mechanic to check it and he discovered it was the alternator that was faulty. It was promptly replaced and all was back to normal. Barely, two weeks after replacing the alternator, I noticed the battery icon flashing on the dashboard. Had it checked and the alternator was the culprit.

Now, the rewire who removed the alternator so I could return it for replacement, decided to troubleshoot before finally concluding it was the alternator. During the process of troubleshooting, I noticed the transponder key was always flashing intermittently, same with the battery icon.

Now that, I have gotten another alternator, the car has refused to start. It rolls when I try to put it on. But the battery icon and green transponder key icon does not come on.

Please help me out and recommend any good mechanic in Ibadan that can fix this problem. SUV is in Akobo, Ibadan.

Yes you can evaluate only the OND. But why don't you evaluate both so you can get more points? Except of course it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for you to get those BSc transcripts for her university. With the OND and BSc, you get more points.
