18. Never use directional signals, since they only confound and distract other Lagos drivers, who are not used to them. The quoted above is so true. I was in Lagos recently with a friend based in Ibadan, then we were stuck in traffic. Whenever I wanted to switch lanes, I just did abruptly without signaling the driver behind me. My friend thought I was a very rough driver, but I told him on the contrary, you don't use your pointer lighters when changing lanes in Lagos because the driver behind would never allow you right of way. Lagos is a hell hole, though the capital of wealth. |
