ipledge10:You are absolutely right. Both players played very good D sha I won't lie. That KDs block on Al and Klay just forcing Tatum and atimes Jaylen to make bad shots. He kept up with Kyrie as well but everything Kyrie hit just entered. He was unmarkable. |
Celts are a well-coached team and my respect from them stems from the fact that this was their 3rd game in 4 Nights (away). Credit. Of course Kyrie balled, but some other reliable players on GSW made some mistakes - particularly Draymond. Couple hail mary threes from Theis and Rozier took it down to the wire though. Far harder game than I expected. |
ipledge10:KD was huge on defence but he missed some usually easy shots. Celts got away with fouling him at the beginning of the game though. |
SIRcumalot:Morris hit him from the right. Kyrie TRAVELLED on his last layup. That was atleast 5 steps. |
Donlittle:6'7" they said. |
KD has had a bad game today by his standard. But how long will he keep up with it? David West was lit in D but not so much in offense. Shaun L cannot be missing these many shots for goodness sake. |
Mark Jackson cracks me up. He cannot even tuck in his bias. |
Men, Klay should be hitting that. Some physical play from one team is being allowed. Nick Young has had an atrocious game thus far. I expect him and Klay to get much better in the third. |
Decale:I agree, Klay, Draymond, Curry on any team is not a good one. They did not win 73 games together. Please, based on the order of picks, draft a better team than Curry. Let us critique it. So Lebron takes KD first and you, Decale, takes AD, then Lebron takes Giannis and you take Boogie, then Lebron takes Kyrie and you take Harden. So your team is now better than his own? AD and Boogie are leading the league in wins abi? Kwantinue |
Decale:Karl Anthony is not a good big? Giannis is not a Greek Freak? Ok. A good GM is the guy who picked first and selected the last finals MVP? It takes serious depth to do that I guess. Or Curry should have taken WestBrook to pretend that WestBrook makes people winners like he was winning when he had KD. Kwantinue |
SmooshCHN:Your order also makes sense but I heard Lebron say he wanted to reunite himself with Kyrie and KLove so I assumed he took Kyrie higher. And Steph would have taken either Giannis or AD first so since he has Giannis and Bron AD, we know who took who first. It is Klay and Draymond that are not good that are in the reserves. Same people they will call HOFers very soon. The same way Oladipo was a bum last season and now the PG that replaced him is not an Allstar yet Oladipo is. You can't make this joke up. LOL |
Manutd19:If Lebron lost AD he would have taken Giannis and the media will say the same thing. Atleast, you are being honest to admit that picking KD does not require anyone to be a good GM. |
DevdanSanguine:If I start with you, you will deactivate again. Everyone knows that. You are the predictable one here. I am still waiting for Isaiah Thomas to do the business to GSW. That was your non-d¡ck riding prediction awhile back remember? |
Decale:The way they dunk all game even in competitive regular season games abi? Curry was going to pick Klay and Draymond - infact his reserve players are even better than Lebron's. I thought all the noise online was about first team Or Klay and Draymond are no longer future HOFers again? You guys just look at height and make analysis yet AD and co (including Lebron) had to perfect their shooting somewhat because nobody gives you passage to make endless dunks. This was a game of X and O where the first to play had the advantage of initiating the 3box cheat. If Lebron had KD, Harden, Giannis and Kyrie. You people will still say he won the draft. Just the same way Cavs won the draft vs Celtics when the season began. Shebi you remember? ![]() |
Manutd19:You are so tunnel-visioned in your opinion, you should spread your view. That Lebron's team is actually top-heavy with average shooters (bar KD). In a physical game with rebounds and co taken seriously, yes, you maybe right. But in Allstar game that won't be as physical. You stand the likelihood of being 50% wrong. Remember when Cavs were going to win the finals easily last season? |
Manutd19:Harden would have been Lebron's next choice and the media would have said the same thing - that he chose better. And yes Bron would have taken Harden. Remember they chose per catergory even amongst starters. Bron would have taken Harden after Kyrie after all he took KD and AD who may are both listed as SFs including Bron himself. |
VivaLaByke:Stop buying the hype. Lebron had first draft pick everyone knows and KD said he was drafted first "for the first time in his life". Lebron most likely took KD first. KD hinted at (more like said) it. Curry took Giannis. Really who should he have taken? Giannis is playing better than AD this season. Lebron took Kyrie next. Steph was not going to take him even if presented with the chance to, so Steph took James Harden. Lebron's 3rd pick was obviously AD. Had Steph picked him as his first Draft in response to losing KD, Bron would have taken Giannis now. So I don't understand all these superficial and fake outrage on social media about his choices. You can trace how the selections were done because the starters were selected first per category. |
DevdanSanguine: ![]() |
ipledge10:Lebron picked first and selected KD. KD would have been Steph's first pick. Everyone knows that. |
DevdanSanguine:Neega, keep your two cents I don't want to leave you broke. ![]() |
aliondo:The stats can lie. The stats lie in PERs. Do you know Bruce Bowen? He used to have PERs of 9 sometimes 7 yet he could guard the phuck out of anyone. I am happy you said 95% of the commenters. They are going to be OKC fans as the caption and thumbnail is a clickbait for them. So you are effectively making my argument for me. The experts on the show and the NBA coaches who know more than us both did not agree with you or the commenters and that is also fine with me. |
aliondo:I have made this argument in the past when someone was trying to use PER to make Eric Gordon better than Steph at a point early last season. You are defending your player because you feel he deserves it. That is fine. I have defended my player because I feel that PG or Lou were not worthy enough to have replaced him. Your argument about ppg will not really work when one is the 3rd option in his team and sits out large swaths of 4th quarters due to blowout wins than someone else who does not. Your argument about assists will not also work because GSWs dominant ball-moving style will not allow many players rack up assists. Besides, Klay is a catch and shoot player. How many assists did Ray Allen or Reggie Miller have? Your argument about rebounds is neither here nor there. It is the same way people made fake rebounds a big deal for Russell last year to have an almost sub 500 team's player the MVP - something that still feels preposterous today. PG will have more rebounds than Klay for eternity because that is not what is expected of Klay. In the category that Klay plays in, no other SG is more precise and efficient than him. Harden is still not an SG in my eyes and he surely is not an efficient scorer, he draws a lot of fouls to shoot FTs and takes high volume number of 3s. So that should count for Klay. Has he been inconsistent this season? Yes. But that same argument can be made for PG as well. PG was not playing well till mid December or so. He will not use 1 month plus to become an All star in a stacked West. Lai lai. Russell called him top 2 SF? So who is he better than KD? Kawhi? Lebron? LOL. Give me a break bro. PG left the pacers and Victor Oladipo became an Allstar in the same team he left while PG has come to realize what it is to play in the West. He should just take it, he is a good player but Allstar will not be based on one month performances. Same argument I made against Lou Williams. Lillard was preferred by the coaches over CP3 for the same reason: you can't play 24 games in a 48 game season, post great numbers and be an all-star, when men have played 40 some games to post almost same numbers as you. It does not work that way. In fact, the only fracas about PG not making the All-star list is on OKC fan threads, GSW-haters column and Nairaland. I watched most of the NBA talk shows after our chat and many don't share your opinion. See below for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZJXODrWUd4 |
aliondo:Oga, even the NBA does not fully understand how PERs are calculated. Players who tend to be ball dominant usually have high PERs. PERs for players who don't have blocks and steals will be low. PERs also favor players who play more against the 2nd unit of opposing teams. I have said it here before; I barely attach anything to PERs TBH. |
aliondo:Bro, I am not referring to PER but efficiencies in the shooting. Klay's percenatges are better which means he makes less mistakes. For e.g if PG has 42% shooting in the 3-pt range and has made 136 it means he has missed 186 of them. Klay on the other hand has made 154 and has missed almost same 189. So as you can see, Klay has shot more and still made more than PG at a higher percentage. |
aliondo:Stats in question here is between their numbers not the teams. 20.8 statistically is not bigger than 20.3 if the latter needs fewer shots to get his. Anthony Davis is the best or amongst the best at what he does. We can justify his place compared to other Centres in the west but sadly cannot do so for P.G. And I like PG BTW. Lou is not more efficient than Klay in 3pts, if that is what you are alluding to. Lou is on 40% with far less 3s made than Klay who is on 45% and has made more. |
joeace2020:From being accused of being illiterate to this ^^^ because of the word "affront" (the only "big word" in the whole write-up) .How harebrained can anyone be to feel that "Affront" is a big word? |
joeace2020:So you failed woefully at sarcasm and only succeeded in showing us you have class-A Impostor syndrome. If Van Dijk said he signed for Liverpool because they are the 2nd most successful team in british football history he will be right and still be mouthing off the sort of goobledygook you are trying to pass off as a robust and witty rejoinder. United is a far bigger team than City but not recently. Since 2012/13 United have finished lower than the Citizens in every ensuing season and will likely do so again this term. The media was awash with Sanchez and Pep's reunion and even Wenger hinted at it. City had no problem meeting Arsenal's 25-35M valuation of the player (where parent club comes in) but were not going to upset their wage structure (where agent and player come in not parent club ) like United did to lure the player. Even after United "showed him the money" he went to ask City if they would match it and City said NO. A renowned Arsenal fan even came here to post that the player may be unmotivated because he is not going to his first-choice club. This is not an affront on the player or United: Conte said United signing him showed that even Chelsea cannot compete financially again (or as before). In other words, if he could get the board to offer Alexis the same money United did, perhaps, he too may have convinced the player to come over. The keyword here being MONEY just in case it passed you by. |
aliondo:There is no statistical variance between 20.8 and 20.3 especially when efficiency and Klay effectively touching the ball less than PG comes into play. You want to make an argument for PG, then find something cogent to hold unto. Even his numbers renounce this all-star claim you are making for him against Klay which is even funny when we consider - when season began and for 10- 15 games into it - the consensus was that PG had regressed playing with Russell. Now all of a sudden, he is Lebron reincarnate. Nah, man. |
Decale:I have maintained that Klay has been inconsistent this season but the same argument can be made for P.G. I am actually respecting your opinion because you are a neutral in this. If you feel he has been less impressive because he is being carried on a great warriors roster, that argument may bear some merit. But the one that would not fly even when placed on a soaring Boeing is the one for P.G. Their numbers are the same and yet one is less efficient. Then P.G should be competing with KD and Draymond (depending on what category he made the team on) but as for Klay with the role that he plays for GSW as 3rd wheeler, PG does not deserve it more than him - recency bias aside. |
Vorkalth:CP3 played 23 games or so. He has been injured...Dude! |
aliondo:I am not arguing for Green. 20.8 to 20.3 is huge for Klay and PG. Only that one is getting his far more efficiently than the other. Thank you for mentioning steals. I can trade it for Klay's total 3points made with more efficiency again or no? It is a miracle for anyone on the warriors to have high assist numbers with all that ball movement and Klay's numbers actually are higher than last year. If Rebounds is the deal...Drummond better shoot someone. |
Vorkalth:Stats came as a starter and primary scorer. You are right that PG is a forward. Replying different people got me in a mix. Like I said PG is good and having an okay season but recency bias is what is confusing a few of you. PG and his Thunders were until recently a laughing stock. I do not understand how they deserve these all star spots all of a sudden. |
