Hardetayour:Weak emotional move that does not help his legacy. He will only get some respite for a year and after that, every failure by the Nets will be blamed on him. If anything, he is almost helping Lebron (almost because I don't think they get Kawhi). Great player nonetheless with a good heart. I expect him to recover and make the Nets top 5 team in the East, but my man is not winning any ring again. Sad truth. |
steady986:This present lakers team won't beat Rockets and Raptors as assembled. If KD and Klay were fit, GSW will probably gentlemanly sweep them. A team without shooters. Lol |
steady986:Stop and think. Steph was drafted #7 Klay was number 12, Green #35 Which means 6 teams had the chance to draft Curry. 11 had the chance to get Klay. 34 had the chance to get Green. That they turned out to be superstars is nobody's fault. So all that parity talk was rubbish. Then KD was an unrestricted free agent. He joined them and everybody has been making noise. Yet Lebron was a first draft. AD first draft and Kyrie a first draft pick. And nobody is complaining if they come together through TRADES. Parity kee you there! |
Hardetayour:All the warriors did was get a free agent. The rest were drafted. But other players should trade everything they have and create max spaces for all the other stars. That is parity. Many are mad, few are roaming. |
steady986:I am not scared at all. Just stating that taking a meeting is nothing. KD entertained Celtics, Wizards, Knicks, GSW in 2016/17. Kawhi is a lowkey person who does not like all the brouhaha associated with stardom. If he was to leave the Raptors at this point, it will be to the Clippers. My only point is that he will most likely try again with the Raptors because as they stand, (with an unhealthy GSW) they are still the team to beat. You people should look for Butler to help save your king's legacy. It won't be Kawhi or Kyrie. |
Northeastern:Forget the hypocrisy which only got to KD and not the Warriors supporters. Kawhi would most likely sign a player option with the Raptors for another year and probably leave to the Clippers. He is not going to any Lakers. People don't know the implications of taking a meeting. Players just want to appear professional in case of the future. A team wants to meet with you, you most likely honour it especially when it is a franchise like the Lakers. It is the same reason KD has not re-signed with the warriors. He will wait to hear the pitch from all the courting teams and then announce his decision publicly or call the teams and tell them about his decision. If he had announced it since, teams would not bother pitching him. I think the Lakers will not get either of Kyrie or Kawhi. They are better of chasing Jimmy Butler. |
steady986:LOL. Is that what Iggy said? |
steady986:Intelligence and understanding are the same? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ![]() |
steady986:Do you want to bet again? LOOL |
steady986:Face palm. |
steady986:You can hurt your Achilles mounting a woman, dude. KD could have been on his treadmill and hurt his Achilles. Freak injuries happen. |
steady986:Wonderful question and I am happy you reasoned well for once. Health issues are private and many times you don't feed things to teammates as you can never tell who the mole is. You do know some players leak information to the press for various reasons? So sometimes, the medical team will only inform the player whose health is in question and the coach and then leave everybody else guessing. Ask Jalen Rose for example how he was so sure looooooong before Kawhi left the spurs that Kawhi was not going to play for them again. I mean, he even placed a bet online about it and he was right. Yea..because someone from Kawhi's camp definitely leaked it to him. If it was not Kawhi himself. |
birdman:Hahaha. Spurs misdiagnosed Kawhi and told him his injury was not serious. They even asked him to play. Iggy said the medical team told him he had a fracture..ruled him out internally..never asked him to play..but lied to the media that it was just a bone bruise. Spot the difference. |
steady986:You are dumber than I thought. He did not mean to say anything. He said what he said and he goofed. Same way you have goofed for using him as a yardstick or even trying to defend him. Hahaha. |
steady986:I questioned your intelligence. Not his. Don't be trying to robe him in. You are the dullard here. Our resident dullard-inho. |
steady986:You should use control + S on your passport photo if you are trying to save face. |
DeeMain:Your drivel speaks more to you than me. The mythical powers are the ones that will come up with reasons for Iggy and even argue with said player when he himself has come out to refute what you are saying. Or the ones who switch arguments from he called out the warriors to they rushed him back. LOL. Let us assume KDs Achilles was already partially torn when they misdiagnosed him, at what point would the tear have healed? Lol. So no matter what you are saying, the Achilles would have still ruptured at some point and KD would have needed a surgery. You have argued with the warriors. Argued with Iggy. Argued with SmooshCHN who is a resident doctor himself but it is me and him who are arguing impassionedly. LOL. |
birdman:No offense but this makes 0 sense. He can't come out and abuse the medical staff but he can come out to say they misdiagnosed him? Lol. Pick a lane and stick to it. Your two sentences contradict themselves. He also said it was being put out there. Not in here. Out there. So who forms the out there that he was referring to? Or did Iggy diagnose himself and then refuse to play? LOL. Mark Jackson did not openly criticise being gay even when he knew one of the owners was gay? Mark Jackson was not insulting ownership in the dressing room? There is not much to say about him because I don't even care that much. He went and we won 3 rings so I am gucci. |
SmooshCHN:I stan. |
Thanks SmooshCHN and SircumAlot. There is nothing more to say. Bros started from claiming Iggy indicted us. Then switched to well he was saying they misdiagnosed KD. To pressure to play. I just tire. Like you said, when someone watches the Iggy interview with an idea in mind you will read your own idea into whatever he was saying. They will soon say Iggy wanted to leave the club which is why he said what he said. Even when in that same interview he talked about coming back. One thing our bros is also ignoring is that Iggy said KDs injury was either an act of God or a higher power. That very injury could have happened even without a calf strain. You said so when you gave the getting off a bus example. Bros was even saying that KD injury came from jumping. Na dude. He crossed over..and that movement could have caused an achilles for even Steph. It was a freaky injury. Nobody will risk KD back with the hint of an Achilles tendon injury. Nobody. |
DeeMain:Sadly, you are still looking for different ways to make the same wrong statement. Nobody management or medical team put any pressure on Iggy and by extension KD. So your metaphor can safely be thrown out. As far as similarities go, the medical team did not misinform or misdiagnose anybody to deliver any deliverables. The only thing Iggy said was, they lied to the media which in turn generated pressures that neither the Warriors or the medical team cowered to in Iggy's case so how you made that leap to extrapolate it into KDs is voodoo. There was no pressure to deliver KD. If the player himself and warriors felt any pressure, what pressure will his own doctors feel to risk their client who could potentially lose his career and have no money to keep them on his payroll? Like I said, the hoopla was simply because people wanted to claim Iggy was exposing the Warriors but that has been thrown out by the player himself. You are now trying and failing to make Iggy say what he himself said he was not saying. LOL |
DeeMain:Your opinion is wonderfully wrong. No debate. He said " it was put OUT THERE" as a bone bruise. Put out there to who? That is your answer. Iggy himself praised the team because not only did they not mislead him. They still treated him the way a fracture should be treated without ever asking him to play. The only thing they did was misinform journalists to keep the opposition guessing. It is not rocket science. Of course, when the media keep carrying a news repeatedly that a player has a bone bruise, people here and there will ask questions. How is the leg? Can you play? Is the pain still there? I mean, Steph was being asked these questions when he hurt his fingers. At no point did he say the Medical team misled HIM which is the lame argument you are trying to defend. Same goes for KD who (by the way got cleared by his own doctors) and then INSISTED on playing. Whatever pressures he felt is not in anyway related to the hot takes or about NBA teams misinforming the media. The warriors for e.g if KDs initial injury was an Achilles could have still lied it was a calf strain but they would have never played him (as he would not have been able to even play..LOL). And no amount of pressure can make a player who is unable to play, play. The pressure came from the media who kept claiming the player was out of GSW so to prove to them he was not out, he played. |
Max Kellerman said Achilless bone is connected to the Calf bone. LOL That is who someone was quoting. LOL |
DeeMain:Ok no vex. You don't need to be the only one to still be unashamedly wrong by the way. He said when he fractured his leg last time against Rockets, the medical team of the warriors told THE NBA that it was a bone bruise even though they knew it was a fracture. Every team does that BTW. You want to unsettle the opposition and make them overcalculate their tactics. If Iggy was ruled out completely the Rockets would have been emboldened. Rockets did same about CP3 and kept lying that he could play game 6 or 7 even when they knew he was out. That was the summary of what he said. Warriors did not play him, did they? The medical staff did not misdiagnose him (in fact he praised them). They only misled the NBA, journalists and the rockets (or at least they tried to). I am not even saying anything new. If you do some digging, you will see that at the time last playoffs, I said categorically that Iggy's bone bruise injury claim was BS. Teams do that. I would have gone to say exactly what he said about KDs injury but I am sure that is not what people care about. The hottake nonsense was to act like Warriors had misled Iggy about his injury but that is not what he was saying. Thing is, when you have made up your mind to hang your dog, any thread will be good enough. Which explains why people deliberately misunderstood the player. |
SmooshCHN:I genuinely like the guy..no homo. Homie cracks me up. |
DeeMain:LOL. ![]() Kneel where you are and ask God for the spirit of understanding. |
steady986:This one too will say he has a brain. LOL. Opting out of what? ![]() I am waiting for the usually reasonable birdman to respond. I have already accepted that a lot of people on here are not as intelligent as they think they are. The firsttake mugus no different. You are on your own pedestal when it comes to mumulity sha. Carry go. |
birdman:I hope you actually watched the interview and not read excerpts off a dumb article? Some of us watched the interview. I would wait for you to watch it and then come back and give your opinion on what he actually said then I can help clear grey areas that you may not have understood. |
Gentlewarrior1:Both are not correct. Eat your cake and have it was used before but it was emended because the word have as used in the statement means "eat" as well. Not an english guru. |
losprince:Actually, you are wrong. You can eat your cake and have it but you cannot have your cake and eat it. |
steady986:Why ask about this year? They played with injuries this year which made games closer. They won Portland game 1 by 22. Blew out Clippers in game 1 as well. Lebron's teams have had less blowouts than GSW. Just stop arguing please.. |
KarnThornheart:He has and his % is better than Lebron which is why it is not there. He had against OKC. Against Clippers or so in the past. Against GSW this year but he missed. He has had a few. |
