After years of denying endless pregnancy rumors, Beyoncé finally has some good news to share.

The "Single Ladies" singer is pregnant.

Beyoncé held her belly as she arrived at the Video Music Awards Sunday wearing a long, red dress, quite the opposite of her normal midriff-baring stage costumes.

When addressing photographers on the red carpet, Beyoncé said, "I have a surprise!" People reported.

Beyoncé's rep later confirmed the news to the magazine. "I'm happy to say it's true," the rep said, according to People.

In a June interview special on "Piers Morgan Tonight," the "Single Ladies" singer said she looked forward to parenthood.

"I always said I would have a baby at 30," said the singer whose 30th birthday is September 4.

Apparently, Beyoncé's husband Jay-Z has also had children on his mind. He and Kanye rapped about fatherhood on "New Day" from their new album, "Watch The Throne."

West Brom's Roy Hodgson wards Arsenal and Chelsea off Peter Odemwingie

Baggies boss insistent that none of his key players will be leaving the Hawthorns this summer, claiming his club are run on an even keel and don't need to sell.

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson claims he has no intention of selling star striker Peter Odemwingie this summer despite interest from Premier League big boys.

The Nigerian scored 15 goals in his debut season for the Baggies, catching the eyes of Arsenal and Chelsea, but Hodgson insisted none of his key players will be leaving.

"I’m confident of keeping our top players, including Peter. They have contracts and the club are not keen on selling," he said, according to the Daily Mail.

"We don’t need to sell players because everyone knows Albion are a well run club. We have no debts and we are not in the situation that many clubs are in, having to sell to match budgets."

Li Na made history as the first Chinese player to win a Grand Slam singles title with a straight-sets win over defending champion Francesca Schiavone in the French Open final.

The 29-year-old, ranked seventh in the world, made up for defeat in January's Australian Open final by beating the Italian fifth seed 6-4 7-6 (7-0).

Dominant on serve and consistently threatening from the baseline, Li overcame a late wobble to take away Schiavone's title in one hour and 48 minutes.

"When I was a young player I wanted to be in a Grand Slam final," said Li. "But today, some people say I'm getting old - so the old woman had the dream come true. Not easy."

The pair had met four times previously, with two wins apiece and Schiavone winning the last on her way to the title at Roland Garros last year, making her the slight favourite in many people's eyes.

Li had never been a fan of clay in the past, whereas Schiavone's heavy topspin, vicious kick serve and sweeping single-handed backhand, has proved perfect for moving opponents out of position on the red dirt.

That was the theory; in practice the match set off on a different path and only rarely deviated.

Li's cross-court forehand, which would prove a key shot, earned her a break point in the opening game that went begging, before doing the job in game five for a 3-2 lead.

The Chinese player then went on to close out the set magnificently, getting to set point with another of those forehands, this time played while edging backwards under pressure, and after 39 minutes she had dropped just six points on serve.

With the predicted showers not on the horizon on a muggy Paris afternoon, Schiavone would have to dig herself out of this hole, but she was losing the baseline battle and failing to mix up the pattern of play with enough drop shots and dashes to the net.

The Italian pulled a forehand down into the net to give up a break at the start of the second set and, after playing a beauty of a drop volley to earn a break-back point in the next game, could only stand and watch as a Li ace whistled down the centre line.

Li had lost to Kim Clijsters in the final set in Melbourne, and Schiavone's best hope appeared to be an attack of nerves from the sixth seed if she could prolong the contest.

There were signs of that happening as two more break points came and went for Li, the first an inviting mid-court forehand smashed into the net, and game eight finally saw the cracks begin to appear as four forehand errors brought Schiavone level at 4-4.

With her confidence returning, the champion was suddenly dictating matters and looked the more likely in the closing stages of the set, but she was upset by a line call at 6-5 and failed to win another point as Li played the tie-break superbly.

She opened with a dart to the net of her own and an angle forehand volley, a fabulous high backhand drive-volley put her 4-0 up, and Schiavone then netted a volley and sent one long to trail 6-0.

Victory was now assured and the only moment of doubt remaining came when, preparing to serve, a Chinese shout from the crowd disturbed Li and she had to compose herself. The mind was clear enough, however, and when Schiavone fired over the baseline tennis had a new champion, and a new nation on the Grand Slam roll of honour.

"She played a really high level through one set and 2-1, 3-1, she was playing really well," said Schiavone.

"I think at the end we were really close and it could be the set for me or for her. But at the end, she won. I think she deserved this final."

And asked about the line call at the end of the second set, she added: "One ball can't make so much difference, but in the moment you have to check really good the ball. That's what I contest."

Chelsea have given themselves seven weeks to find a new manager after sacking Carlo Ancelotti and handing him a £6.5 million pay-off, Goal.com can reveal.

The club, who are scouring the world for their sixth boss in four years, are confident the new man will be in place by the time of their first pre-season friendly on July 9.

Marco van Basten has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Ancelotti, although there is also believed to be strong support within Stamford Bridge for Porto’s Andre Villas-Boas.

Harry Redknapp was the favourite with a number of bookmakers on Sunday evening but the Tottenham manager is believed to be a long-shot for the vacant post.

One man who is unlikely to be the next Stamford Bridge manager is Guus Hiddink, who has told owner Roman Abramovich that he is not interested in being a club manager again.

Nevertheless, the Turkey manager is believed to be the key figure in the senior management shake-up at Chelsea. The club also have vacancies in the sporting director and chief scout positions following the departures of Frank Arnesen and Lee Congleton to SV Hamburg.

As revealed by Goal.com in April, Hiddink has been approached by Chelsea to be their new sporting director and will make his decision on whether to accept the offer in the wake of Turkey’s Euro 2012 qualifier away to Belgium on June 3.

A defeat will scupper Hiddink’s hopes of winning a November play-off spot and will open up the possibility of him being available immediately.

Hiddink admitted in his column for a Dutch newspaper at the weekend that he has continued to work for Chelsea in an advisory capacity since his spell as caretaker manager at the club ended in the summer of 2009.

The 64-year-old has told friends his future involvement in the game will either be a senior executive role at leading club – he has also been offered posts at Ajax and PSV Eindhoven - or another international post.

It is understood that Hiddink has nominated fellow Dutchman van Basten, who completed his coaching badges at Chelsea, to succeed Ancelotti. The 46-year-old is now ready to return to management following a long break from the game after leaving Ajax in 2009.

Ancelotti left his post less than two hours after Chelsea’s final Premier League game of the season at Everton, which they lost 1-0.

The Italian is believed to have been given his marching orders by chief executive Ron Gourlay shortly before his team boarded the coach to Manchester airport. It was done so promptly in order to allow him time to say his goodbyes to the players and staff before they leave either to go on holiday on Monday or join up with their respective international squads.

Ancelotti will become the latest manager to walk away from Chelsea with a huge pay-off, following in the footsteps of Jose Mourinho in 2007, Avram Grant in 2008 and Luiz Felipe Scolari in 2009. The Italian had a year remaining on a contract worth £6.5m-a-year.

Should Hiddink reject Abramovich’s advances, it is believed that Grant has been lined up to return to the club he managed briefly in 2009 and that the Israeli will be installed as the sporting director.

This could pave the way for a surprise swoop for Redknapp, who is good friends with the former West Ham boss from their time together at Portsmouth.

Although Redknapp is firmly against a set-up headed by a director of football, he would make an allowance for Grant, who he speaks to by phone around three times a week and has done so for the last two years.

In his 34th league game of the 2010-11 campaign, the Portuguese sensation found the target for the 39th time on the final day against Almeria at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It took just four minutes for him to bag the historic goal when he stabbed the ball home from close range at the back post after Sergio Ramos had headed a Xabi Alonso free kick across goal.

He now officially surpasses previous record holders Telmo Zarra and Hugo Sanchez, who both amassed 38 goals in 30 and 35 league games respectively.
