WHY WOULD THE IMMIGRATION DENY HIM BASED ON , According to a report on Gizmodo, Nigerian officials required proof that the world's richest man would not reside in Nigeria indefinitely and cause a strain on social services before granting him a visa. He had to show other statements of account & a letter from his bank vouching for his personal wealth.

Please peeps, lets not shy away from the truth despite the fact that the immigration rules has to be adhered to but You & I know very well that there is no country in this Glode that does not like Foreign Investment or whatever the case maybe.

Have you ever heard that Dangote or Adenuga was denied visa @ any embassy. Peeps with so much to contribute to others welfare should be treated (because its not an easy task) though with a lil respest but that does not mean worshipping the person.

So if it were Oprah Winfrey thats how she would also be denied, plz search your heart.
Hope you know how much she spent building that school in South Africa when she was criticized for not building it in USA.

The reason for Bills denial is too flimsy, nigerians needs to grow up.

The Idea about scrapping the NYSC scheme shouldnot be used as a yardstick to judge if someone is Lazy or not. Does your support makes you hardworking either. Moreover are you more hardworking than those Truck pushers we see on the streets everyday when majority die of Hernia resulting from the stress they undergoe.
       Despite the fact that "travelling is part of edcation" but it does not make the scheme so important where majority (90%) of the corpers end up in xtremely remote villages as teachers.
    If actually there were no teachers in those villages, why did they build the schools in the first place, plzzz the Government is only looking for cheap labour. Have you really taken out time to ask the teachers there how they are been funded Please do! Before you start making unimportant remarks.
   The reason why peeps actually serve is because its mandatory because this Government we are talking about careless about her citizens.

The school enviroment is not even fit for human existance yet its Government Approved, the students have to sit on the floor & others write whilst standing. NO BLACK BOARD (na waooh). when it rains theres is no class (imagine)
Do you peeps really know that 9ja Governmnet spends far less than 20% of its national income on Education, yet most of our ministers children are schooling in Havard,Kent,Cambridge,Oxford and so on.
Why are their kids not schooling here? Maybe then they will start paying attention

(If the Government now decide to pay teachers in these villages say 100k/month i guess everybody will suddenly want to teach just the way banks of today are doing)

If the government is actually paying attention to the rural areas interms of infrastructures like electricity,water,road I personally dont see why anyone would see these areas as a Dead end.
Taking peeps to states different from their initial state of posting will only create chaos & hoax. I really hope the Gov is on the right track.

I think your case is appealable from what u told the house but did you;

1. Submit via agent?
2.Was it a company's account?
3. Did u add the tax clerance certificate?
I feel the prob here is the origin of the funds .

I was posted to Enugu during my service year, the camp is called Agwu Camp (Ojukwu Camp) precisely out of the town off the road leading to Port harcourt. My three weeks in the camp was hell. mayb u will see 4 ursef as soon as u step into the place.

The Aim/Objectives for initiating the prog (NYSC) is no longer in existence, the sooner they scrap it the better for the country because the prog is not promoting anythin. ITS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME & RESOURCES.
 
    Imagine been posted to a place where there is no light, no Gsm, Portable water (of all)  & the peeps do not even understand you when you try to communicate,how do you expect someone that is already used to city life to thrive.

    How can the Government be paying corpers 8500naira ($50) in a month this is really absurd & ludicrous moreover its the highest form of slavery in this modern age. In the developed world like USA their minimum pay is about $5 per hour maybe you do the maths yourself

   I learnt from the media that the Government allocates 400,000 to each corper through out the service year;
1 Kits (uniform) which is suppose to be in pairs from the cap to the boot
2. Feeding Whilst in the Orientation camp
3. Allowances ( Bike,transport before leaving the camp & after been posted)

Only GOD knows what actually happens along the line & nobody talks about it.
   The reason why the NYSC prog is still very much alive is because alot of peeps are actually benefitting from it, right from the State Directors,Camp Diectors to the Area Inspectors.

   If Government will be wise enough to give that money to each graduate to start up any business of their choice after graduation instead of wasting so much time looking for jobs that are not available or better still use it to fund education I think it will go a very long way because the educational system in Nigeria is collapsing most of the universities are living on their past Glory.

   Peeps used to travel down from other african countries to Nigeria to school in the 80's but now the reverse is the case, nobody really cares about that. I sincerely wonder what the Commissioners & Ministers of Education are doing.

The ZEAL for education is gone because the younger ones no longer find it interesting studying as they have alot of graduates in their home without Job & cannot even afford transport to look for job.
We Need visionary leaders in this Great Country Nigeria, someone that fears God & has focus. I don't think there is any country that has as much natural resources as we do but yet morethan 70% are still living in extreme poverty.

Only God knows how much;
US of A generates from Entertainment a year
Uk generates from international students a year (education)
Rome generates from tourism & fashion
All these are not natural resources, but we are naturally blessed yet,

Well I will forever be grateful To God Almighty for helping me through my NYSC when i was posted to a place where their water is mixed with clay. I never knew a place like that still exist in Nigeria.

Adding the payslip would have saved you alot of stress, that would have made ECo's job easier & probably not to doubt the statements. printing should not be an excuse for not adding the payslip. All they want to see is the origin of the funds which couldnot be ascertained.
Plz endeavour to add it if you really intend to re-apply for january intake.

I would personally advice you to write a letter of reconsideration to the BHC here in 9ja & also carry on with the appeal even if there is nobody to represent you there. It could still go in your favour if (only if) your points are clearly stated out in the appeal. I have seen cases of paper hearing to the favour of the appealant. (though the time frame is lengthy)

Moreover re-applying with anoda sponsor within a short period of time will be seen/interpereted as a sign of desperation & not binding cos the ECO sees most applicants as economic immigrant. U dnt really have to be hasty about this whole thing, try to re-enrol for january intake b4 reapplying after correcting the issues raised in your previous refusal as I am doing right now. (weigh ur options)

Most re-application always comes out successful if you are consistent in whatever you have filled in before & most importantly correcting errors in the former.

Who knows we might b on dsame flight by january (kidding)

Re-application is only better if the ECO clearly states out the reasons for refusal & u knw some are not straight at all, its not that you are far from the obvious. I have seen cases of re-application that went well, as well as appeal cases.

If u still have much time as against the resumption date, i wld personally advice to reapply instead of making appeal. bt if time is already against you try to appeal cos it will be definately overturn the ECO's decision if u clearly state out your appeal.

I initially took my application to abuja because of the fact that i was there for a workshop, but i want to re-apply now & i intend talking to LAGOS, will it jeopardise my apllication this time around?
I was previously refused entry because of funds, i submitted a statement that just showed the exact amount for my tuition & living expenses (10,100GBP) approx 3M Nairas. But i want to make anoda application with a better account, How much do u think is ok for the statement (savings account)

Is it possible to reapply for visa with a different masters' prog after ur initial refusal. Even if it comin from thesame skul (liverpool)
Will the ECO see as as nt binding I dnt really knw if they could hold it as a sign of desperation cos the initial MBA prog is just once a year which means the next intake will be sept 2008. Which U & I knw is too far. Am really hell bent on this cos of the time frame.

I really think you should appeal the refusal if you were given an appeal form,try to get the other documents in regards to ur sponsorship that you didnt previously submit. Moreover make sure the statement u are submitting actually has more than enuf to takkia of ur tuition as well as ur accomondation & living expenses.
Since the ECO also made mention of you not been able to finance urself whilst in the UK.
Sorry to ask which skul is that? I really wonder why the tuition fees was not enlisted on the Letter Of Acceptance.

The ECO said that in accordance to British council's section 57 you have satifactorily convinvced me that your sponsor will be willing to exhaust all of his savings for your education,
The statement had the actual amount that would jst be enuf for the tuition,accomondation & living xpenses,
everytin amounted to 10500GBP

Is it a college or University? Its is a college precisely Liverpool college (MBA)

Is accommodation fully paid or NOt arranged at all? actually not paid bt there was letter from the skul showing that i have made arrangement with the skul in regards to accomondation. (i.e it has been arranged)

So many questions.

My statement actually had fund that will jst be able to takkia of the whole xpenses including the tution.My skul is suppose to resume 17 sept 07. i was given the right to appeal but i feel appeal is a total waste of time & resources cos of the time frame. I think reapplying is a beta option for me as i have contacted my Dads (sponsors) lawyer to add a covering letter before i reapply notifying the ECO that d fund was categorically reserved to finance my studies whilst in th UK and of which the ECO didnt consider the part payment 1500GBP out of the 5800GBP which was on the receipt from the school. PLZZZZ I NEED RESPONSE
