I think the governor is trying to use okon's popularity to popularise government's ethical reorientation messages |
joncom:Most of the pdp members arrested/to be arrested were mentioned by Dasuki as beneficiaries of the loot. Nothing stops Dasuki from mentioning those APC members that partook in the loot before moving to APC. This suggests that the custodian/ trustees of PDP are the real crooks. |
Go and discuss the issue with the guy. His opinion really matters at this stage |
doctokwus:Those results are expected. The oron ethnic group are very angry that akpabio/pdp opposed their bid to produce the next governor. The other ethnic groups who are much more in number do not share this sentiment and may still vote massively for pdp though there are many who frown seriously at akpabio s arrogant imposition of candidates on the people. It is very possible that akpabio/pdp has succeded in manipulating the process in uyo senatorial district which has the largest concentration of voters hence the alarm raised by umana |
MizMyColi:Your opinion is highly commendable. Preserving your dignity is a virtue you must preserve. |
SOUTH EAST SOUTH SOUTH BEWARE! If the report is true, its likely that APC has resolved not to waste their time on GEJ's stronghold- south east and south south- perhaps based on the calculation that their support base- the core north and southwest- can still win in a presidential election without meaningful support from the SS and SE zones due to their dominant voting strenght occasioned by the country's highly defective political structure. In view of the anticipated numerical strenght of APC's core north and south west in the national assembly, a senate president from the SE and speaker from the SS will be a mere figure heads in the national assembly. |
babseg: Hey keep quiet and stop spoken bad English hear.. Na wah oh. Lord please save the english language. We dont have another common language in this country for now. |
Jarus: Actually, Nigeria is practising mixed economy, tilted more towards socialism (very large public sector) before, but now leaning more to capitalism.. This is the most authentic response. All economies are basically mixed with a bias towards either socialism or capitalism. Presently due to the ongoing privatization policy as against the nationalisation policy of the 1970's and early 80's, our bias is towards capitalism. |
Seeeeeeee: who paid some money to blackmail Gov Akpabio, come to Akwa ibom and see transformation. This is just a cheap blackmail what concerns who ever with senatorial election. That's Ikot Ekpene senatorial district n what the op said is false... |
Seeeeeeee: who paid some money to blackmail Gov Akpabio, come to Akwa ibom and see transformation. This is just a cheap blackmail what concerns who ever with senatorial election. That's Ikot Ekpene senatorial district n what the op said is false.... Which transformation are you talking about? Are you not aware of Akpabio's reckless spending and looting of the resources meant for the development of the state? Go to public hospital and schools in the state and discover the very poor nature of public service in the state in spite of all the deceptive noise about uncommon transformation. My advice is for you to desist from lies that will definately attract the wrath of God. |
payless: They shouldn't have allowed the fisheman in their home. Looking at the picture above I have to ask myself how did he become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He only came there with only one thing on his mind, votes from Yoruba people. Jonathan is a conman that is full of deceit. He shouldn't be taken lightly with his "I once didn't have shoes" that people fell for to vote for him in the first place. Just looking at his retardeen, slowpoke, and his odechukwu azikwe's face, I see an hack job. The slowpoke is enriching his cronies from southsouth through Allison Maduekwe and the whole country coffer getting depleted day by day. Imagine the pardoned southsouth terrorists aka Tompolo, and others are now security experts on national security matters with millions upon millions being paid to them for providing security services to oil installations in Bayelsa and part of Port-Harcourt.Seun, i m begging you in the name of whatever you hold dear to PLEASE create avenue for us to UNLIKE some very nasty post as the one above. No doubt, the president has not met the expectations of many of us but that is not enough to take away the sanity of some Nigerians. May God grant mama the fortitude to bear the loss of his son. May the sympathies of the president and others console and strengthen mama. Whatever happens to any of us here on earth is not the worst so we still give thanks to our loving God for His grace and mercies. |
chingyjant: Homosexuality is a strange practice in Nigeria.Infact we only know that act as an act practiced by animals. Why should we behave like animals when we are not one? Also it looks filty and disgusting.Inserting your joystick in where excreter comes out leaves one to imagine if the people practicing it are not maniacs.Go punder on it and i believe others who share my view will enlighten you more. Animals do not practice homosexuality; they (animals) are more reasonable and decent than homosexuals. |
Ojeilevbare: thank u all, NL is supposed to be a social network of people who seek to know wat they actually don't hv any idea of, I c its jt a gathering of a bunch of selfish, self-centered, desperate people. u can all stop calling her line NW, as I hv booked a hotel accommodation for her.Your comment about the type of people on NL is very wrong, there are very good and responsible people on NL. You've been rightly and properly advised to ask your wife to stay in a hotel, what else do you expect? |
Idacrux: Hope say god no wan punish person.na who hid my post abi na papa buy me MB.....lol ! Abeg no mind the person |
The military has clearly stated that using military facility for VIP movement especially for safety and security reasons is a legitimate mandate of the military. |
No doubt the widespread inequality, exploitation, and poverty brought about by the capitalitist oriented economic policies of the finance minister/FG gives many nigerians reasons not to sympathise with the finance minister but in God's name and in the name of motherhood, anybody that has access to the kidnappers should persuade them to threat the old woman with utmost kindness. The old woman is not directly responsible for her daughter's harsh economic policies and glaring government failure in Nigeria. |
Pls all garri activist, advocates and well wishers should remember to pray that all weapons fashioned against the price of garri shall not prosper and that such weapons should be effectively directed to bigotry/ignorance which has limited the capacity of the masses to unite and resist the unrestrained looting and squandering of our commonwealth |
Mr. Globe:which basic economics are you talking about? Can you cite any economic theory of empirical evidence that supports a negative effect of higher denomination on inflation or value of currency? Irrespective of denomination, if output increases while money supply remains at the same level or even lower, the rate of inflation will very likely drop or remain stable. So what matters is the level of money supply relative to output. On devaluation, if for instance we are exporting more than we are importing, we will demand less of foreign currencies while the demand for our currency and by extension its value will rise, irrespective of denomination. So it still boils down to our level of output; what we can produce for domestic consumption and what we ve got to offer in the international market, irrespective of whether our highest denomination is one naira or one million naira. |
I think we should be careful in assessing and applauding some of these governors. Akpabio for instance has done so much for his state and also STOLEN SO MUCH from the state or at best wasted so much from the state's resources. Akpabio is obviously a billionaire today at the expense of his people. My advice: we should emphasize effective utilization of resources in our assessment so that we dont end up celebrating some smart thieves |
Denn: Get a plain piece of paper, write your name, address, date of birth, sex and your signature. Affix a passport. Visit the nearest FRSC office, give a staff around 4,000......any staff of FRSC.....your valid driver's license is ready in 24 hours. You can learn how to drive later. This is the truth and nothing but the truth, pls others should take note and remember to indicate ur blood group. Thats all |
Sky Blue: How do you know Otedola is fighting to "clean" the house? You make his motives sound so altruistic. We need to stop being fools in other people's wars.Well said comrade |
webdezzi: Lamorde, it's happy day for you, just make sure the bills aren't marked, and go with a mask at 2am, Oru laa sekalol. If the guy is innocent, hope he succeeds in thoroughly embarrassing those crooks |
Absolutely! |
