Like he has this big outdoor speaker that are meant for outreach but he uses to pray in the night and the noise is disturbing me....he does this in early hours of 4am to 6am. This is my first time coming across someone that uses microphone in-house at that early hours. I tot it ends with music until i met this. Please what should I do

Friends, Others Shower Accolades as Chinedu Ezekwesili Marks 70th Birthday

Friends, associates and family members yesterday, honoured Mr. Chinedu Ezekwesili, the husband of Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, who celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday.
The virtual event which held via Zoom and was partly covered by Arise News Channel, saw different speakers that showered accolades on Ezekwesili as they commended the cleric.


Speaking at the event, Mr. Ezekwesili noted that, “time, as orchestrated by God, is invaluable,” just as he urged those that joined the event to utilise every opportunity for good.
He added: “I have high expectations for each and every one of you. My belief is that every encounter, every assignment, and every opportunity to positively impact someone’s life is a divine arrangement.”
Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Mr. Sam Adeyemi, commended Ezekwesili for being visionary and responsible.
Adeyemi noted that even though Mr. Ezekwesili’s wife is more famous than him, it doesn’t bother him.


“I once asked him if it bothers him that she (Mrs. Ezekwesili) is successful, and he said not one bit. He said he is used to them going out in public and people approach her to take photograph with her and ask him to stand aside.


“He said it has never crossed his mind that, that should make him inferior. He said anything she accomplishes is part of his accomplishment and he can’t be competing with himself. I said this is so instructive.


“In my view, women make half of the global population. If you shut a woman down and don’t allow them to attain their potential, the whole society is going nowhere. So, I want to commend Pastor Chinedu for being a fantastic man who can support his woman. Thank you for being a good model for all of us and we pray that God will preserve you to see many more years,” Adeyemi added.


In his speech, Dr. Otive Igbuzor, praised Mr. Ezekwesili for his leadership qualities.
“It takes a confident man to marry a strong woman. There are few men in this country who possess the capacity to marry such spirited women. I wish you many more years of service to God and humanity,” Igbuzor added.

For his part, Prof. Okey Ikechukwu, spoke about Mr. Ezekwesili’s character, saying, “He stands as an exemplary figure, steadfast in his ethical principles, amidst a culture of ostentation and superficiality.” .

Oby Ezekwesili celebrates 35th marriage anniversary, says husband is ‘rarest gold’

A former minister of education in Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesili on Friday celebrated her 35th marriage anniversary to her husband, Chinedu Ezekwesili, whom she has described as “the rarest Gold of a man God ever created”.

“We’re 35!” Mrs Ezekwesili said on her Twitter page, Friday afternoon.

“God loves me so much and gave me the wisdom to say ‘I do’ to the rarest Gold of a man He ever created. I am thankful unto eternity for my #EndlessLove. Our purposeful union will forever glorify our Lord in whose Love we’ve grown ours. Loving you all the way!” she said on the microblogging platform, alongside photos of herself with her husband.

She showered her husband with praises: “Through the years….you never let me down. You turned my Life around. The sweetest days I found, I found with you through the years. I’ve never been afraid. I’ve loved the Life we’ve led. I’ll stay with you. Through the years.

She uploaded old and memorable photos she and her husband took together.

Mrs Ezekwesili’s husband, Chinedu is a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The former minister used the moment of her anniversary to offer marriage advice to young Nigerians.

“It will not always be smooth but I want every purposeful young woman with a vision to thrive in her profession, occupation or entrepreneurship to know she can do all that and still have a meaningfully beautiful marriage.

“I started being more public about mine to help encourage more of our younger generation of women to not feel they have to trade-off marriage for career or career for marriage.

“You can have both. May God always help you to make meaningful choices before and in marriage, in Jesus name,” she said.


Obasanjo’s beautiful words for Ezekwesili

Mrs Ezekwesili, a former vice president of World Bank, is an ardent advocate for democracy and good governance, and a co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls group which has been advocating for the release of the abducted Chibok girls in North-east Nigeria.

“Obiageli (Oby) Ezekwesili is like a daughter to me. Even when she was a minister, I treated her the same way I treated my biological daughters. She is a dynamic young woman who is competent, reliable, and very enterprising,” former President Olusegun Obasajo wrote in April in celebration of the former minister’s 60th birthday.

Mrs Ezekwesili served as minister under Mr Obasanjo.

“Without any doubt, Oby was one of the best talents I had working with me. On a lighter note, when Oby worked with me, she was quite young, but very intelligent. There were three of them at that time who used to ‘drag’ age, and I enjoyed their banters: Oby, Frank Nweke and Nenadi Usman. The three of them were under 40 and then in council. Nnamani made sure that the proceedings of the Senate on May 16, 2006 were televised live to the displeasure of the powerful forces around OBJ.
Why did Nnamani do that? Before the day of the debate, he asked Senators to go back home and consult with their constituents, to enable them agree on what to do. So, he stood his ground for the proceedings to be televised live so Nigerians can see how their representatives voted. That singular act made a lot of Senators who already promised OBJ to withdraw and vote against third term. If not for Nnamani, was it not for that singular act, Obasanjo would have been Nigeria's Paul Biya. But to Nnamani it was COUNTRY FIRST. That was patriotism at its best.
Just imagine for a second it was this Akwa-Ibom born Generalissimo. OBJ would have gotten LIFE PRESIDENT.
