Romance › Re: 5 Biggest Reasons Why Some Women Don't Enjoy Sex by essentialone1: 9:47pm On Oct 10
There is a lot of misinformation in threads like this, so it's good to separate personal anecdotes from what medicine actually recognizes.

The 3 categories you listed - "can fvck beyond capacity / romantic / hates both" - that's not a medical classification. Libido, romantic affection, and sexual function are different systems and they vary a lot between people and even across a lifetime for the same person.

What doctors do recognize is *Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD)*. It's common, it's not something to be ashamed of, and it's often treatable. It is usually grouped into:

*1. Low sexual desire (HSDD - Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder)*
Persistent lack of interest in sex that causes distress. Can be linked to hormones, stress, fatigue, depression, relationship factors, or medications.

*2. Sexual arousal disorder*
Difficulty with physical or mental arousal despite desire, similar concept to erectile dysfunction in men. Includes reduced genital blood flow and lubrication.

*3. Orgasmic disorder*
Difficulty reaching orgasm or much longer time needed to reach it, even with adequate stimulation and arousal. About 10-20% of women report never having had an orgasm.

*4. Genito-pelvic pain / painful sex*
Includes pain with penetration, muscle tightening, or burning pain. Common causes include vaginal dryness/atrophy around menopause due to low estrogen, infections, pelvic floor dysfunction, or endometriosis.

*5. Sexual aversion*
Strong anxiety, disgust, or avoidance of sexual contact, often linked to past trauma, but can also be linked to pain, anxiety or cultural factors.

In most cases it's not just one cause - it's a mix of physical, psychological, and relationship factors.

*What actually helps:*

- Medical evaluation to rule out hormonal issues, thyroid problems, medications (like some antidepressants), or pain conditions
- Pelvic floor therapy for pain
- Counseling / sex therapy for aversion, trauma history, or couple disconnect
- Lifestyle factors - sleep, stress, alcohol, and chronic health conditions matter a lot

There are treatments, but they depend on the underlying cause, so the right step is to talk with a doctor or a gynecologist who can do a full assessment. If pain or distress is significant, don't self-diagnose from social media threads.

If you or your partner is experiencing this and it's causing distress or affecting the relationship, consider speaking with a healthcare professional promptly.

maomaoyu:
There is no single best network in Nigeria — it honestly depends on where you live and work.

MTN usually has the widest coverage, Airtel is strong in many cities and their data prices are often better, Glo is cheap but patchy outside the major areas. Before you commit to a big monthly plan, buy a small amount of airtime on each and test the speed at your house and your office. Thirty minutes of testing saves you a month of regret.

My own setup: two SIMs, MTN for calls and reliability, Airtel for data. If you use a lot of data at night, look at the night plans — they are genuinely much cheaper, just remember they only work inside the night window.

And if your 4G suddenly feels like 2G, toggle airplane mode on and off first. Half the time your phone is just stuck on a bad tower.
Hmmm. So deep and very experienced.
