Please give formula till you start lactating so baby doesn't starve.
You can ditch formula when you start lactating well.
Takes lots of water, pap, oats n try to have enough rest.

Congrats ma. Please get formular for baby till you start lactating. Don't starve him. Also try and be putting him to breast frequently as they say it helps to trigger lactation.

I had the same issue with my first and still did not lactate for a long time. So my son was always taking Aptamil.

Make I no lie I no too like the breastfeeding thing because he dey pain me. So for this new baby on the way am seriously saving to buy other formulas I heard are good too like Similac, Enfamil to combine with breastmilk.

Mama please get Nan1 for your baby to feed on from this morning. Hopefully you'll start lactating very soon and you'll stop the formular immediately you start breastfeeding him.
That was what I did. Because I also didn't lactate till the 4th day after delivery and since then he hasn't taken formula till now. We'll be 6 months very soon.

Get him nan1 or any formula immediately and feed him pls. Continue putting him to breast, when you start lactating you can decide to breastfeed exclusively.

Abeg exclusive breastfeeding does not mean you will now wait till you get breastmilk before you feed your child. You can start exclusive at anytime if your supply and baby allows.

Lactating wahala you can try some of these.


1. Hand-express breast milk regularly, even if you only get a few drops out at first. The more you express, the more likely your supply will increase.

2. Make sure your baby is latched on the breast properly and is actually feeding.

3 Massage your breasts during feeding to stimulate the let down of milk.

4. Make sure you offer your baby both breasts at each feeding. Using only one breast can cause a lack of milk production in the unused one.

5. Make sure you have lots of skin-to-skin contact with your baby as this can stimulate milk production.
Hold off on giving your baby a pacifier until your milk supply is well established.

All in all, get a baby formula for the main time so that your baby can eat. Make sure to take lots of pap and water.

Just continue to put the baby to breast.... it will flow soon....but for the main time, u can give baby nan1....but always put the baby to breast all the time.....milk must come out well

I was induced for my two kids at 41weeks and 40wks 6 days respectively.
Maybe because i have high threshold for pain.It wasn't as painful as i was made to believe.

For my first,the entire process lasted for 3hours from start till baby arrived and the total active labor was about 45min or thereabout.

For my second,That one was supernatural delivery.not one single pain......i was praying and saying i will contract without pain.Fear came in when i was given the hot drip but i quickly got my faith back.

Induction is simply the process of making your body go into Labour, I was induced during my first pregnancy and the second was without induction and I can tell you that I didn't see any difference.

Some say induction is faster and etc etc but my point is that there is no need for fear at all.
Is it not the same oxytocin? The tiny tablet is to start the process.

Actually Savlon( cetrimide+chlorhexidine) is stronger than dettol. Savlon has a better antiseptic property than dettol hence it is more recommended.
The whitish coloration is because it is a phenolic compound, it means nothing as far as antibacterial property is involves.

its normal teamie I prefer salon because it's milder compare to dettol.

Lolzzzz, it's normal. I think they advice moms not to go for detail cos its harsher than savlon. Salvon is mild and it's Johnson's product. Hope this helps.
