This postseason, the Rockets have the No. 1 ranked offensive efficiency (111.6 points per 100 possessions) and No. 2 ranked defensive efficiency (103 points per 100 possessions).

The only other team that's top 5 on both ends is the Warriors (No. 1 on defense, No. 2 on offense). https:///PmqElhxQoj

There ia only one center better than embiid in the league :demarcus cousins. Others are wannabes

We will look back and say we witnessed history with lebron and the warriors.

Brad stevens has arrived, he makes the best out of any crop of talent made available to him. I am now convinced joel embiid is no where near hakeems level. He doesn't seem to have the will to win, alongside another point guard considered ot be trascedental.
Embiid is not there yet but he's already a top 2 center in the league. The Sixer's are not only young but the coaching crew also lacks playoff experience. Give them a year or two that team will be a contender.

I also think the match up is a problem for them. Trust me, the cave are more happy to play the Celtics than the Sixer's.

So Tatum, Mitchell, jaleyn brown, Simmons are balling in the playoffs, meanwhile lonzo is rapping and Ingram is still playing passive like a two yr old sissy angry if i hear that Lakers are young bs again. What hurts so much is that the Celtics are so young and good with lots of good picks yet we started rebuilding at the same time. Bleep you kupchak angry for messing us up. embarassed

Two time MVP (probably didn't know that did you?), One of the greatest shooters and passers of all time amongst other things. Put some respect on the man's name.
Curry = 2 time MVP, Only unanimous MVP in history, Greatest shooter of all time, 2 rings.
1 time Scoring champion. 1 time NBA steals leader.

He's essentially an improved version of nash in almost everything.

All those pgs are great but Curry transcends them in one thing ;
He Changed the way basketball is being played. He's singlehandedly inspiring a new generation of players who depend on their skills and not athleticism.
Not only that but he's the best point guard in an era where this position has the most talent ever.
Not only that but he changed the narrative ( since Isaiah thomas) that point guards can't lead championship teams in scoring.
He's also arguably the most efficient guard on offense in history

To top it up, two MVP titles (one of them unanimous) in an era where the arguable "GOAT" grin is in his prime. Come on ! Put some respek on Curry's name.

Zach Lowe
ESPN Senior Writer
In a disappointing and potentially franchise-altering first-round series loss, Russell Westbrook used up 38 percent of Oklahoma City possessions with a shot, drawn foul or turnover -- a larger share than LeBron James accounted for in almost single-handedly dragging Cleveland past Indiana. Westbrook's usage rate was almost the same as LeBron's in the 2015 Finals, when James carried an injury-riddled misfit crew within two games of the championship.

*yikes*
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 9:20am On Apr 28, 2018
The question is why do players shot badly when playing with Westbrook. If PG wasn't a proven star at Indiana and we saw his playoffs performance this year, we would have been saying "Westbrook had no help and other players around him shot like shrubs, so he had to do it alone and he indeed balled out" but we have seen this before. Westbrook looking like a hero while the support cast look like farmers. He simply doesn't make his teammate better. Donovan is a tota dunce but its also difficult to install a system if your best player is not willing and does not have the IQ to play off the ball and make his teammates better.
freaskie:
Did you watch the game...PG was turning down shots...Carmelo was a non-factor on both ends...
Coach should have given Grant an all clear...and tried to mix it up with Patterson.
Apart from decision making...what Russ needs around him are 3 n D guys basically.
PG turned down shots but he was still extremely smart and useful
But when Carmelo isnt hitting his shots...he becomes a non factor and a liability
A better coach may still have found some use for Carmelo imo
This game 6...you cant fault Russ generally...
And im not saying he didnt shoot some questionable shots
The team doesnt have proper ball movement and then his other stars turned down shots
Why then should he not shoot them biko?
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:36am On Apr 28, 2018
Donovan Mitchell is no longer a rookie. He's a force.

28.5 pts, 7.2 rebs, 46% FG, 92% FT, 4-2 series win.

Donovan Mitchell scored 28 of his 38 points in the second half......Just an epic performance in a closeout game from the rook

Wow! This guy reminds me of a young wade and d rose
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:34am On Apr 28, 2018
There is something about rhythm and getting the ball at the right time. When the pg who has two stars shots the ball almost 20 times more than the next star on the team, you're going to have a problem.
freaskie:
We can say all we can about Russ...
But we all see this game...it was all on Russ...
My guy P turned down shot after shot and tried to play smart
Carmelo...no show
Adams did well...but most of his points where from the feeds from Russ also

Yes they could have tried to go for a 2...no doubt...but remember we didnt have a time out...so why not try to hit the 3s when most of them when open

ANd the 2 sef...u now stiffle tower will be waiting there also...

Russ def must have gassed out

Donovan wasnt able to get in a good system...pronto...OKC needs a new coach unfortunately..

If we switched coaches...JAzz and OKC...OKC would have won maybe in 5 sef..but all that is conjecture

Time for another rebuild....unfortuntely...with no money and assets

Lauri markkanen (Chicago), Dennis Smith Junior, Fultz these guys are also going to be a problem. The draft class is loaded. Don't know how Lakers got conned to draft lonzo angry .

Tatum. Mitchell. Simmons.

Been saying this for years. No other superstar in the NBA would be humble enough to allow another superstar on his team to take some of the spotlight, w/o any adjustment periods or growing pains leading to a wrestle for the reins. Such an underated part of who @StephenCurry30 is. https:///9YdRIWs6Wv

Bruh i am a fan of Westbrook and I rooted for him last year against all odds.

But bruh, at least change small
I remember after one game late in the regular season where Westbrook cost his team by making a foolish play with the last possession. A journalist was asking abt the play, he just said unapologetically "You know me, That's who I am"
Its that mentality that's killing him. Only those with multiple rings deserve to be that stubborn. A strong coach like pop whobhad either coached sense into wb or traded him by now.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 5:49am On Apr 24, 2018
For the record, the Thunder went 22 minutes and 3 seconds of game time between assists, both assists coming when Russell Westbrook was on the bench.
Terrible!

Anybody in PG shoes will leave..I dont blame him if he leaves...

You are right about the young teams doing well next season.....Simmons,Jayson Tatum etc...The jazz team will also be on the lookout next season cos of Mitchelle...
I'm also not writing off the Lakers team...
As a lakers fan I wish they are on that list of (Celtics, Sixer's) but I think the nostalgia of the glory days is beclouding the managements judgement. The rush to trade quality young players for so called cap space to get star players will eventually leave them with a mid level team that makes the playoffs but can't win it. I say we tank another year, let the core of kuzma, Ingram, lonzo improve organically together. Resign randle for less than max. And let Deng's contract go off the books without wasting a talented player to do it.
Then with multiple talented players and draft space go for one or two superstars, that's a championship squad.

One of the advantages we have with the big three is ability to get who is red hot on a night with the ball more..For e.g,look at the warriors..K.D,Klay,Curry and even Green are not always hot on the night..This past few games..Green has been below par but its not showing cos they share the ball more...Same with Houston...Harden sometimes gets less than 15 points sometimes in a game and even him senses that its not his night just like the game two vs wolves..Gerald Green got the ball more with more points

Coming back to this jazz match...Our first match,Mitchell got more of the ball..Rubio took less shots..The second match..it was Favours of all people and they sensed that..so they played through Favours and won..This last match...it was obviously Rubio and they played through Rubio...

Our play is always predictable...Even if Melo was off at some point this season..for this match, from the first two quarters..it was obvious that he was the one amongst the big three getting his shots right with 14 points already from 6/8 FG.. I was thinking russ would hand him the ball more but he kept taking those shots knowing they wer not getting in..Melo no longer saw the ball after the two quarters..PG had to come in to salvage some points for us..I dont know if Donovan is scared of russ or what...Russ has not developed under him after all these years...
I think donovan is scared of westbrook. Westbrook is too powerful in Okc and donovan knows it.
Paul George will be stupid to stick around for long.

Meanwhile this season has a feeling of a coming of age moment for some young ridiculously talented NBA teams. With a few tweaks, The Sixers, Celtics and Pelicans are going to be a big problem next season. Westbrook had better grow up or he may miss his window of opportunity to win a title.

Look at Rubio flourishing, who I thought was a forklift under Thibodeau

Who woulda thought he'd be a difference in an NBA playoff game? Lol...
I was about saying the same thing. The trade for teague was suspicious from the beginning sha. The wolves needed a facilitator with four okay scorers in the starting line up already & also a good wing defender. Instead they traded the only player that met those criteria for a defensive liability who is more of a shot first guard. Now rubio is shooting very well too grin. Rubio would have made KAT more effective like rondo is doing to A.Davis.

They match up well? No I don't think so. Only teams that have dominant front court players and control the pace of the game can give this warriors team proper fits in the playoffs. Who on the rockets can slow down Durant ? Harden will have his points but a locked in warriors defense can throw off rockets 3 point shooting a bit.
Lastly the warriors are the champs and are filled with veterans have the guts and know how to win games against even superior opponents (Remember Gsw vs OKc).
So until they beat the warriors, they're still underdogs.

I see you are worried about the Rockets. You are right to be bro.
Minnesota is not an easy opponent. Warriors are playing the weakest team in the western playoff. And I believe Rockets match-up well with the Warriors. If anything, they are more ready for warriors than any other team. Their real test will be in the semis if they play against OKC

you are right to some extent but the whole flourish off the ball thing has to do with coaching.

It seems Portland takes turn shooting the ball. My turn, your turn, his turn.

That’s what I saw tonight. I doubt if they won 49 games in the regular season playing this way.

They need a legit big man that can slow the game down in the post. They don’t have a klay, curry, or KD so can’t really keep defenders 100% honest.

A big man can slow the ball down when the shot isn’t falling for them and they just don’t have one.
That's true except that Curry was already doing exploits with bogut as his big man under mark jackson's coaching. All this wannabe gansta star guards with low basketball IQ (wall, beal, dame, cj) need to go an earn their stripes in the playoffs. Put curry on this blazers team and he can take them to the finals.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:10am On Apr 18, 2018
I knew this would happen. Never understood what the hype about Portland was all about. Lilliard thinks so highly of himself & he's talented but he will never reach Curry's level until he develops basketball IQ and use his presence to allow his teammates to flourish off the ball.

Chocolate milk Klay is my favourite Klay.
grin grin Playoff Klay is fun to watch. He's one reason I think Houston will suffer if they keep depending on isolation plays by harden. A locked in klay can significantly reduce the efficiency of the isolation plays of harden & also punish every defense lapse by the rockets.

Imagine thinking the warriors and a lebron led team won't show up in the playoffs grin grin . Big Joke!

In other news call him a snake or whatever you like Durant is still a top 2 guy second only to lebron when business get serious. How many teams have a defender good enough to bother him at the moment? ... None.

Klay's playoff defense is underrated, his match up with opposing guards in the west is a key factor for the warriors. . if is shot starts falling consistently and curry comes back at 80%, the playoffs is over already.

Trust me, he's my top 5 favourite player off the court. Thank God Lavar has been quiet. But they're last two games, he and KCP were just straight up trash in like the last 5mins of the game. Lakers were down by 1pt today with 52secs to go, my Nigga Lonzo, wide open, even took one dribble to set up well and bricked it. Just drive into the lane and flop like Harden but nah, he bricked it and KCP also gave an excellent pass to AD down by 3 with 4 secs to go. They're growing as a team and I like it though. E dey pain me especially those losses in crunch time. Not good for those young boys. KCP especially can't be teasing them like that.

Anyways, I'm only talking about last 3-5mins of the game before someone say I'm hating.
Lonzo is a bust period even Quinn cook from the G League shoots better. A pg shooting around 50% from the free throw line as a 2nd draft pick! What! Didn't he do pre draft work out or were the Lakers blind?
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by etidy: 5:57pm On Mar 20, 2018

Bruh you gotta pay the guys that helped you win two titles. It's in the constitution

Plus Golden State can afford it and by the time money from the Chase Arena starts rolling in their contracts would be pamper money. It's their last big contract in a world where Nicholas Batum got $120m/5years
The organization may have the money but you know salary cap issues will always limit spending. Giving such inflated contracts for three years is crazy. Anyway the alternative wasn't going to be pretty either ; Giving the rockets the veteran and defensive savy of iguodala could have come back to hurt them especially seeing the big jump the rockets have made.
