Udonis Haslem goes over to the announcers

“Tell Draymond Green thank you.”

Draymond yesterday:

“We’re gonna play Boston.”

grin this was definitely a bait by draymond to motivate the Bleep out of Miami cheesy

I just knew the heat will bite when they saw the interview

It was obvious the heat took everything personal.
.
Make Celtics no lose game 7 they will go from hero to zero

I don't know mehn, I have a bad feeling about the amount of disrespect the heats are getting.

Obviously, the Celtics are the superior team and I expect them to win the east but it's not over until the fat lady sings.

All these pundits putting Celtics in the final without the game being played out may just be the added fuel that Miami needs to force a game 7.
I hope the Celtics do not start believing their hype and I trust Ime Udoka to keep the fire to their feet. The media is like a fair weather friend, they hail today and crucify you tomorrow.

At least Luka has won one game in the conference finals.

He called the warriors front office arrogant. Six finals in eight years. Dallas give me one championship we tank i no even complain. If to say na 6 finals and 4 rings i get?

I no go even open mouth for 10 years
They certainly were arrogant this season, obviously it has worked out for them thus far.

Imagine going into a post season with only an I Injury prone looney as your recognizable big.

Even draymond acknowledged in his acceptance speech of the wcf title that he had doubts about the front office decision which he vocalized concerning leaning heavily on rookie development when in a win now mode because of the age of the core.

Sometimes every just works out and bad decisions look like genius. It doesn't mean they are not bad. Mind you, I am very happy for the warriors.

Your explanations were trash, you initially said the warriors should trade Steph and I questioned whether you were a warrior fan. And you kept reiterating it.
One post ago you said you didn't expect Phoenix to shit their pants, and Boston would be the big test.
What kind of fan consistently wishes his Team fail
A hater...
Bro I think you need a drug test. Can you bring one post here where I said the warriors should trade curry. Bruh you are just capping for likes here

There is another dude on this thread that said they should trade klay, curry and co and hand the keys to jordan poole.

Talk about quoting people out of context but whatever works for you guys. I am a big warriors fan but I am objective enough to acknowledge a problem when I see it.

If my explanations weren't clear enough I don't think there is a point going over it again.

Defense wins you championship they always say, but they often forget that offense is equally important.
The heats are just defense and insha Allah.

Their main aim to use their defense to smolder you and hope that's enough to win the game. They simply lack the ability to enforce their will offensively on a consistent level.

If the Grizzlies had not run into the warriors earlier, I'm quite certain they'd be in the conference finals now.
And thanks to Dallas for making the warriors path to the finals easier but eliminating the suns.

The suns were not good enough when it mattered. No need for all this alaye.

M. Cuban has to get Doncic another legitimate Star/ Superstar piece, else una go just waste this talent.

Doncic doesn't look like the sentimental nice guy type like Gianni's, he's more like lebron to me. Once free agency comes and Dallas has not sorted out their shit, he will bounce out of town.

And I can't imagine how frenetic a luka free agency will be like. Teams will start courting him 3 years ahead grin

When Klay gets back to full speed, Wiggins will basically be the warriors version of Dorian Finley Smith with maybe better handles and lesser defensive ability and versatility. DFS is on a 4yrs/55mil contract recently inked while Wiggins is on a max deal. So they can definitely replace what he does at a more cheaper price.
Klay will be 33 years next early next year, players at this age don't just get back to full speed after 2 major career threatening injuries back to back. The Old klay is gone, although he can still be a meaningful contributor.

So the players that have brought them thus far should be traded for Wiggins who is basically the fourth option, Looney who is inconsistent and incapable of logging heavr minutes, and Poole who is just showing promise?
Is that your plan.
Were you not the guy that said curry should be traded the other day, why am I even replying you?
Maybe you should read chats and check names when commenting. I have never said curry should be traded, maybe someone else said that.

But as things stand, either klay, draymond, Wiggins and Poole has to be traded.

Poole is just 22yrs, in his third year in the league and rapidly improving. Losing him will be tantamount to okc losing James harden, that will be a big mistake.

Wiggins play a role where very few players in the league can fill, he's also the warriors best perimeter defended, has no ego and has age on his side, so he's probably worth keeping.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 8:13am On May 21, 2022

They don't need to trade anybody. For someone that missed 2 years of action, Klay is doing just fine. He has been decent. He has his moments. He is still dealing with some conditioning and nerves. He tries too much at times. Plus his defence isn't elite anymore. That is to be expected when you have missed 2 years and walked right into the playoffs.
One full season of Regular season football and Klay would be back to the good old Klay.
He doesn't need to do much, just relax and play. He doesn't rely much on athletism either.

You can't ignore the fact that he's already in his 30s ,he will never be the same again. Even curry and draymond has slowed down a bit.
These guys need to take a paycut during the next phase of contract renewal or be traded.
Asat today, it would be an herculean task to keep Looney, Wiggins, and Jordan Poole three key pieces for the future.
And you also have to factor that wiseman is due for a contract extension which isn't cheap for a top two pick. GP 2 also needs to get paid next season grin see wahala
So the warriors definitely has to trade some players or lose them for nothing.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 4:54am On May 21, 2022
If the warriors want to remain a contender they have to figure a way to keep or trade looney, poole and Wiggins. The Injuries have really battered klay, He's no more a reliable second option and his max contract is just like a sore thumb for the warriors going forward.

Why is there not much clamor for doncic to be mvp?
The mavs would likely finish third in the west with a better record than the first placed team in the east and all this without any reliable second scorer in the team. In addition doncic has upped his defense considerably.

He's done more to be mvp to me than embiid, jokic and Giannis

I said this in march. Doncic was the MVP in my opinion. We are in his era already.
Give this guy one title and he will keep coming for more.
He has zero fear and its rubbing off on his team mates .

As for CP3 like someone said here a few weeks ago, the suns were chasing regular season regular like the 3-1 warriors when they had first seed down up already. They kept playing him heavy minutes instead of load management, well the snit has caught up .

The fact that bucks would have been hosting game 7 if they didn't do load management in the last game of the regular season is crazy yikes!.. Regular season matters

The Job Ime Udoka has done with this Celtics team is incredible. The Celtics just look different this season. They have the championship swagger and composure.
When Celtics start winning back to back titles some detractors would want to give the credit to brad Stevens like they did with mark Jackson.

I am a warrior fan but much of the Fandom are blinded by loyalty.

The warriors were mediocre for the last 20 games of the season.
This is their identity this season.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 7:26am On May 12, 2022
When I said this a couple of days ago, some nostalgia merchants where attacking me grin

The big 3 is simply not what it used to me and the nature of their fat contract will impede the ability of the warriors to keep their emerging players or sign news ones.

Either draymond or klay needs to leave but I don't think anyone is keen to trade for them right now.

Secondly, the warriors putting their hopes on essential an injury prone rookie in the form of Wiseman s amazing. It's borderline negligence.

Most teams were making trades or signing free agents during the season but the arrogant warriors with obvious front court problems sat pat.

Even their wing depth beyond Wiggins, kuminga and GP2 is questionable.

etidy:
Bro the warriors are 0/15 from 3 and are just spamming turnovers after turnovers.

This warriors ceiling is the conference finals and what happened to the Splash Brothers?

I know the nostalgic feeling is off the charts with the warriors fan base but they need to blow up this big 3 and invest in a proper big who can contribute both offensively and defensively.

It's just the cold hard truth, AI, Kobe and Tmac were big time spammers of hard and inefficient shots. That does not take away an iota of their greatness IMHO. But I can recall games I watched where just kept shooting and missing and they still kept on shooting grin grin grin grin. You will just be wondering Oga una no dey pass at all cheesy grin grin

As in, efficiency na modern day concept. If you go back 14-20 years people no send efficiency.
The Hallmark of a superstar wing player was spamming difficult long twos often in traffic. Only Jordan was able to do this efficiently.

It would surprise many that kobe never shot above 50% in the course of any playoff run grin

This warriors team can't beat the bucks, Celtics, or sixers. The heats offense is dodgy but they should be favorites against the warriors, same with the suns.
The warriors as currently constituted are not title contenders.

Do you expect Jenkins to come on the podium and thrown Brooks under the podium? No coach will do that, especially in the NBA.

With that being said, your question just proved you agreed he was spamming 3s. This man shot 0-7 before finishing 1-8 but you somehow think the coach encouraged him to keep shooting...shey na because him be Desmond Bane? If na Desmond Bane we for understand sef.

Listen to the post game interview because I watched all of Jenkin's session. A reporter asked Jenkin why he left Brooks in the game despite his horrible shooting and Jenkins responded he was important for them on defense, also, he made an important 3 and a drive to the bucket. The reporter retorted 5 points then? Well, Jenkins had no response.. What does that tell you?

I 100% think it was the coaches decision. If not he would have subbed him.

As a role player who was getting open looks Jenkins may have preferred he kept taking it hoping he would hit a couple.

They are better cause they spam it more full stop. No need for long argument

How many people shoot 35% from 3 in playoffs setting on average except the historically great ones like Steph and Klay? You think it's better to spam 3pters than have a reliable bank shot like Timmy or a reliable midrange like Chris Paul?

I've told you Trae does not have as deep an offensive bag as you and most people claimed. He mostly spammed 3s. He gets away with it sometimes but he's been lucky to run into a Sixers with Ben Simmons the previous year. He will run into further problems if he doesn't expand his game beyond 3pt spamming

For what Trae young has done in this league. This constitutes as blasphemy.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 5:48am On May 10, 2022
A40:
When we say this era of players spam 3's. What we mean is the league today is filled with guys that would rather consistently shoot 1/10 than develop a reliable midrange 12-18 footer that you can fall back on in playoffs setting

There's really no variety in today's game when it comes to shot making and shot selection.

We were talking about Trae Young the other day and I remember telling y'all this guy just spams 3's. Once his 3's don't fall he would look like a G-League caliber player with embarrassing numbers.

The gag is I don't even believe this era overall has better shooters. It's just that they take so many 3's it looks that way. I always like to use Marc Gasol as an example

Marc Gasol at 31 went from 0 3's per game most of his career to 4 3's at 32.

I totally disagree with this take on Trae young.
He's literally one of the best passers in the league. He may not be the most efficient shooter but efficiency is even a modern concert.
I grew up watching kobe, tracy McGrady, allen Iverson and Co spamming difficult shots to get 30 points for 40-45% shooting and it use to be praised as an awesome game.

The fact that trae had one bad series against an elite defense in a heavy lopsided series doesn't mean Trae should get this disrespect.

It's not like he just took his team to the conference finals despite an inferior squad while having multiple elite games.

His athleticism is definitely an advantage he should leverage on but he shouldn't play basketball at 300km/hr for 36 min every game. The way he lands is often very reckless. If he can learn from kyrie how to use superior handles to get his shot off and curry how to play off the ball, he would be unstoppable with risking his career

Been seeing a lot of talk about Morant and his style and I have to ask How else will you have Morant play?

I mean it is true he could end up like D.Rose but the truth is his skillset is his skillset. What is the alternative. If we're asking a 22 year old to tone down his athleticism that his team and himself clearly need to succeed then I don't know what becomes of him moving forward

That is why I laugh each time I hear this more skilled bants. They just spam a boatload of 3's and when it's not falling no plan B. That's why the shooting numbers are either amazing or look like tour dates. No happy middle ground

If there is any player that can make adjustments its Trae young. He has his limitations but if his shots are not falling, he can still fall back on his play making.

The only problem in this series is that he has no big man to work with and the heats have multiple elite perimeter defenders they can keep throwing at him.
This series is actually the worst case scenario for Trae but I am sure he would still get hot for at least a game.
