mmsen: The problem is that governments are a reflection of people. Whether public or private owned many of these projects will continue to be a mess. Look at this Dangote refinery that is already long overdue and above budget - where is the promised efficiencies?
Eko Atlantic - private equity driven but as of yet nothing of note is happening there. Another overblown, overpriced, delayed project.
Take an honest look at many of the banks in Nigeria. Are they government run? Is that why they operate in such a disgraceful manner?
Do you not see the problem? It's not public or private it's competent and incompetent. Dishonest and honest. i agree with you totally although we have alot of private businesses that are doing well but the same can not be said about government run entities |

Greattie08: The contract was awarded to Bi-Courtney but nothing was done then until the contract was taken from him, he (Bi-Courtney) sued the FG that initially caused the delay of the project until Court decided the case and ruled in the favor of FG before they could commence work on the road... factor this in, it's one of the setback why it was completed...
Let me analyse it, the road, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is 120km and as it is, it remain just 4km left to be completed accorded to the Honorable Minister of Works & Housing, meaning that, it is 96.67% completed just 3.33% to go... kudos to him & his Boss (PMB) despite the obstacles... way to go from here... when was the last time you pass through the road if i may ask sir/ma? If you did recently they you would agtee with me what is yey to be done is far more than 3.3%(4km) |

Lol in a country where nepa office depends on generator, we dey buy electric vehicles. So we will buying diesel to run mikano to charge the busses or what?
You need to see the condition the brt buses bought by Ambode and launched by Sanwolu are today, then you wil know these new buses have less than 2 yrs to diminish
As far as i am concerned, this is a case of misplaced priorities |
