MAN PUNCHES WIFE TO DEATH FOR INDULGING IN EXTRA-MARITAL AFFAIRS AT IZZI IN EBONYI STATE:

One Mr. James Uguru had been arrested for punching his wife to death for allegedly indulging in extra-marital affairs at Ndubia Inyimagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to the report, Uguru was said to have beaten his wife, Jacinta Uguru to death when she tried to stop him from chasing after her secret lover.
Uguru, who is based in Lagos, was said to have become suspicious of his wife's alleged love affairs and promiscuity following rumors making the rounds on the matter in the community whenever he visits home in Ebonyi to see his family.
It was gathered that trouble began when Uguru arrived Ebonyi and before he settled down, he was talking with the wife in the sitting room when a phone suddenly rang in the room, which caught his attention.
The sound of the ringing phone made Uguru to head for the room but was forcefully stopped by the wife who held him by the waist.
As the man, Uguru was trying to get off his wife's grip, the wife's lover boy ran out of their bedroom.
When the wife tried further to block the husband from going after the running lover boy, the man then poured his anger on the wife as he pounced on her with serious beating and punches.
An eye witness confessed, "He started punching the woman who eventually collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead".
Speaking on the incident, the Police PRO in Ebonyi State, ASP George Okafor, confirned the report and said, "The suspect, Uguru has been arrested and efforts are on to arrest the said lover boy".
