Your agent is a scam. If IRCC truly asked the documents then you aren’t suppose to pay anything. Tell your agent that IRCC said you are not suppose to pay.

I went for biometric in January 30 and I got a message last week I needed to send my acceptance letter because I changed my course of study.

The issue now is my agent said he can't send those documents until I pay another study permit fee but I doubt it because I don't think I should pay study permit fees twice.

Please I need a urgent response.

I did upfront medical, no update about that one. Eligibility is the only thing Completed.

For your eligibility to be completed, I think it’s a good sign. What of your medical status? Complete also?

From experience, how soon do refusal surface? My application is more than a month now, the last thing there was eligibility completed.

Let’s be hopeful. To get to this stage. I don’t think there’s need to panic. Refusal comes at early stage of application. Was your medical on request or you did upfront?

We submitted last year with the normal 10k living expenses but now that the policy of this year is 20.5k CAD, will the new policy be used to calculate her own living expenses? Or they will use the old living expenses as at when we applied?

You already know the answer. The way you convince is by presenting updated bank statement

How do you convince VO that the funds is still intact without presenting updated bank statement?

Since you are still in Nigeria, it's highly advisable you convince the VO that your funds for the study are still intact then you show separate funds for your spouse SOWP

We are in a similar situation, I was advised to apply with another account other than the first account used as POF because i am the sponsor. I still used the same account use initially for her own but I showed the amount was enough for both of us and also used my father inlaw’s account with amount almost same with mine. I am waiting for decision!!!

But now we want to apply for SOWP for my spouse before I leave.

The question is,

1. for this SOWP we want to apply for, how much POF is required?

2. Do we need to show POF for the SOWP alone or are we still going to show POF for me (the student) too even though I've gotten my study visa?

Good morning, I once read from your post you submitted your application October. My wife submitted her own application October and she was approved December. I think your application has nothing to do with IRCC delaying you. I will suggest you ask your agent to send a screenshot of your application portal that doesn’t required him to gv you the login, on the screenshot you should see the dates he submitted the application and other relevant information. If he’s not able to send the screenshot of your application portal that shows some discrepancy in your application.

You don’t need to rush your application, I advise you get married first and apply as couples. That will be more easier to convince the VO. My advise!!!

I really need some clarifications.

My fiancé has a Master admission in Canada.
We were planning to get married in May this year so that he can file his application as a married man to make it easy for me to join him afterwards, but because of time, we decided to apply for his as “single” but will be married before he travels if his visa is approved.

Here is my question/confusion:
1). How easy will it be for me to join him? Will I need to stay up to a year or more before joining him?

2). After the marriage in May, will it be easier or faster if we submit the marriage documents to the embassy as a separate application document as prove that we are now married before he travels? (Note: Visa is approved as Single)

What step would you advise we take in order for us to be in Canada together as soon as possible?

If your full tuition is 18k plus 10k living expenses because you submitted before January 1st. I think you still have some spare cash left. It’s just a thoughtful thought. I might be wrong.

Hi @JMG12 please I sent you a message here and on Instagram. Please do you think I should add some more money to my POF and send a webform with the new update.. I submitted my study permit application Dec 23 and did biometrics Jan 5. Then the exchange rate was about 650, now the exchange rate has doubled.. I submitted $53,000 ( I am going alone, I am not married , 18k for tuition and 24k for living expenses, as my program is 14months , leaving me with $10k extra to spare) but now with this volatile exchange rate my POF has depreciated in value to $32k (so technically does not cover my living expenses and tuition anymore) . My application is 8weeks now, and the only thing showing is Biometrics and Background check -IN PROGRESS, Eligibility and Medical says -NOT STARTED.. I am really worried, do I put more cash in my account and send a webform with the new statement balance?

Is her program a diploma?

How do I know it has started? Although it’s for a SOWP.
