January, after that January 22 announcement. I applied the following week and got approved after 3 weeks.

Not all, I got my SOWP less than a month after submission. I think it depends on who’s processing your application and how fast your documents are being verified. Then 80% luck 😂

Passport is being processed within a week lately. I got mine within a week and it’s just last week here. You can do your maths with my little help.

Hi. Please I got a PPR letter on Friday. I have booked tomorrow to submit my passport in person at VFS Lagos tomorrow (March 25, 2024). If I submit the passport tomorrow, what happens next and please when am I likely to be able to travel. I would love to book a flight ahead but wouldn't want a situation where the passport is not returned yet and the flight date has come. You can arrive because with the current accommodation problem in Canada, you need time to settle down and search for accommodation, get a car before school resumes. And that will be your reason at the POE, and the border officer will understand if the airline carries you because some airlines do pass IRCC's self-assessment. Additionally, your spouse cannot work until school resumes as a student and you should hold evidence of your fees or how you plan to pay your school fees. There is more checking of fees at the border now as more students are dropping out of school due to financial issues, as getting jobs is becoming harder in canada now.

It will be very difficult. Just go for PDG then 1 year masters. You will get your 3 yrs PGWP

I submitted on Thursday as well via DHL to Lagos. Abeg which of the airline is cheaper and less stressful. I was thinking flying Delta but it’s just too expensive. Help me abeg.

DHL just confirmed delivering it, so i am waiting for VFS to notify me.

Once it gets to VFS, they will be sending you updates via email. Stamping of passports is a bit faster now. So you will get it back within a week.

No fees apart from the DHL fee.

However, include your biometric slip that was given to you when you did the transfer.

Contact the company that employed you first to confirm if you have a valid job, if it’s positive work permit outside Canada is 12 weeks, some got theirs earlier .

They will need your PPR letter.
Copy of your bio data page.
Payment receipt if you are sending to VAC different from where you did biometrics.
Consent letter.

Me, my spouse is still in Nigeria. I submitted her stamped visa page, letter of introduction, study permit approval letter, Enrollment letter, first semester tuition fee receipt and her birth certificate. You need a strong SOP and POF for primary applicant and me.
