Hello house, what about those that have applied before the new current rate? Will the rate affect us?

What about those that have submitted bfr this outrageous current exchange rate? What’s the remedy?

Anyone applying for study permit in this time of high exchange rate should ensure POF is properly calculated to avoid rejection for financial reason.

Living expenses + Tuition fees (per year) + Travel Expenses = Funds in your Bank Account.

That is, CAD20,635 + Tuition Fee + CAD2,000 x current exchange rate = Funds Needed.

Ensure you don't submit below this calculation.

If you have paid part of your tuition fees, that can be deducted from the total amount.

Note: This is for the PA only without dependant(s)

I submitted 15m as prof of funds for canada after I paid 11k Cad, from 16197.18 which left me with 2697.18 because canadore gave me a scholarship of 2500. Yes, you can if you meet the eligibility.

How do you want to apply for SOWP when your study is September? Maybe you did ask the quest correctly.

Don't fall into the IRCC trap. The impression they have now is that many if you don't really have thr money that you claim you have in your statement, hence the rush for SOWP for your spouse so that he/she will be working to pay for your tuition fees or living cost. The impression they have about Nigerians now is terrible. This is from a reliable source. You may be asked to present the evidence of payment of full tuition fees. Somebody is now in a serious soup. He submitted the SOWP for his wife. IRCC is now requesting the payment of full tuition fees or else the already approved Study Permit will be revisited and reviewed. Canada is not smiling now

I sponsored my spouse with my access bank with a closing balance of 15m and her visa was just approved. Due to this new policy, I have applied for SOWP with same access bank and a closing balance of 14m and also used my father in-law’s account that has a closing balance of 12m. Total 26m, is that okay to show financial strength? I am now worried about this current rate because we applied when the rate was 665.

You can add any updated information about your application to your application. Nothing like over sabi😊. Send it through webformwebform, you just need to explain it in that text box on the site or attach a LOE about the information you are adding.

If this company want to offer you a job, they know what to do, they are just stressing you. They would have given you a LMIA job. The truth is you can’t apply for work permit because you are not eligible to apply. I might be wrong sha o.

Are you sure about the last statement? What about those that previously used their account to sponsor their spouse and want to re-use it after their spouse has gotten their visa and still in Nigeria to apply for a SOWP?

Please who is the principal applicant? You or your husband? The PA must submit his or her personal bank statement, other account statement can be used to support your application. You can submit your company's bank statement to proof how you accumulate your savings in personal account and also show previous receipts of the job/contracts or services completed to show the main source/s of where the money actually came from. Whether you've used your bank statement before has nothing to do with your new application as all applications are treated on its own merit. What you need are proofs to convince the officer.

Personal account is more preferable, there’s this believe that VO has that company accounts usually have more than one signatures to get funds out of the account. Personal account is more preferred. The way you also build up your account is more important. If there’s any lump sum, you must proof with documents how you earn the money. Also, I think but not verified that closing and opening balance matters.

I think the best thing is to order a GCMS note first so you can address the main reason for refusal. Everyone here is just assuming.

Yes, even with 100 pages of documents you can still compress to less than 4mb. It was obvious that was the reasoj for your denial.

1yrs program, self sponsor, traveling alone.
Tuition 14k Cad...paid 6k cad. POF 29m.

Source of funds...my 5yrs old biz, registerd and active. Biz documents provided...cert of incorporation,memert, form cac 1.1, annual return receipts, biz instagram handle, prev promo fliers, screenshots of messages showing customers orders, 4months sales invoice, savings account showing pmt from customers and pmt to my suppliers.

I avoided TCC, i don't use my company account due to charges.

I also mentioned i worked in the bank for 8yrs before going into biz.

Due to file size, i uploaded my proof of source of income/biz documents under photo id section. I removed it from POF section because i couldnt compress further. I dont know if this very act is the reason why i was denied.

Pls is reconsideration a viable option for me?

It does not matter if your spouse is in canada or still in nigeria. Boost your account, spouse to pay full tuition
give an explanation why you are just considering travelling together. Indians dont wait, they do immediately and most are successful. Do not use same account as spouse and if you are doing that , increase significantly the amount.
Points to note:
Short SOP outlining reason why u change ur mind
Arrange docs in a systematic way
Proof of good home ties

If your spouse is still in Nigeria. The truth is that you have few documents to submit because you can’t get study permit until you’re in the country. Most times you won’t get enrollment letter, school ID, summarized courses for the semester.
There’s more advantage if one spouse is in Canada already.

That’s what I am saying, the documents are very few. Can someone that has gotten their visa approved tell us what they submitted?

Stop using company account, use personal. They always think Companies need many signatures to get access to money.
