I hate to break this news to anyone that thinks protest will change anything in this country. The 10day protest started and ended like a joke with no single impact. If you have seen waves of previous protest, it was chaired by notable influencial persona but here the elites that are supposed to lead their flocks to the protest are dining with their master. I mentioned this last year: protest and strike will not hold much ground during this president tenure. And also as well he plays his cards right! Like the say strike the Shepard and the sheep's will scatter. He has already struck all the Shepard's even before any action against him. I aspire to learn under him sometimes cause he gets what he wants by calculated plannings and execution. I'll advice that we should all look for a way around the problem rather than complain about it the complaints doesnt solve shit. I am starting to wonder if I have been served a plate of overcooked, burnt offerings instead.

Don't get me wrong o, I love my wife. Or at least, I'm pretty sure I still do.

It's just that lately,things with her feels like trying to hug a porcupine - painful, and leaving me wondering why I keep attempting it.

Why?

I usually drag myself through 12-hour shifts at work, working until my eyes blur, all to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Meanwhile, my wife stays home with our son. It should be a fair division of labor, right?

Except lately, I feel like I'm working two full-time jobs: one at my work, and another cleaning up the messes my wife leaves in her wake.

Take last week, for instance…

I came home to find my son with a nasty bump on his forehead.

Well, my wife had been scrolling through TikTok videos while he climbed onto the kitchen counter and took a dive onto the tile floor.

When I suggested maybe she could pay a bit more attention, you'd think I'd accused her of trying to sacrifice our child to Moremi.

"Are you saying I'm a bad mother?" "Do you have any idea how hard it is to watch a toddler every second of every day?" she shouted at me like my manager at work.

I suggested it might be easier if she spent less time debating BBN housemates with her Twitter friends and more time, oh I don't know, actually watching our son. But I have learned that logic and my wife go together about as well as garri and palm oil.

Then there was the great stovetop incident of last month.

I came home to find the kitchen filled with smoke, my wife fanning at our glass-top stove with a dishcloth.

You won’t have guessed what happened.

Apparently, she decided to cook vegetables directly on the stovetop. No pot. No pan. Just leaves sizzling away on the glass surface.

"I was trying a new recipe!" she protested when I asked what in the name of the gods she was thinking. "The blog said to cook the vegetables on high heat!"

I took a deep breath like a supervisor when he had just finished listening to a terrible project defense, channeling the patience of a thousand ancestors. "Sweetheart," I said, as calmly as I could manage, "when recipes say that, they generally assume you're using some kind of cookware."

Her eyes narrowed. "Are you calling me stupid?"

And there it was.

The minefield I step into every time I try to address these... let's call them quirks. Any suggestion, no matter how gently phrased, is met with defensiveness sharper than my mother's best paring knife.

More often than not, I find myself lying awake at night, staring at the ceiling fan as it whirs above us.

I think about the bright-eyed girl I fell in love with, the one whose laugh could light up a room. I wonder where she went, and when she was replaced by this doppelganger who seems to view me as her personal enemy.

Some days, I feel the love I have for her slipping away, like sand through an hourglass.

I catch myself daydreaming about a life where I don't have to constantly be on guard like Arsenal supporters trying to defend why they have never won the UCL.

Where I can come home and relax instead of wondering what new disaster awaits me.

But then my son will come up to me, arms outstretched, babbling "Daddy!" And I'll see my wife eyes in his face, her smile on his lips.

In those moments, I remember why I fell in love with her in the first place.

She called earlier today, her voice tight with that usual tone that always spells trouble. "We need to talk," she said.

Those four words hang in the air as I write this on my laptop.

I know for sure when I get home that I will sit in the car for a long moment, gathering my courage. Whatever awaits me behind that door, I know it will test the very foundations of our marriage.

She should get a job, that will keep her intelligence sharpened and it's wrong to have a full time house wife these days. It will give her some sense of responsibility. Some Women nowadays are just outrightly lazy and you are encouraging it now she is distracted by joblessness and delving into social media gossips. And hope it's not those fine assy naturally entitled women with peanut brain you married cause they are the ones that always see trouble when there isn't one; they see every correction as insult or spite. Omoh let her go and work she'll appreciate your efforts when she does.

I believe that the website was rerouted to another clone website . So the idea is to make clients feel they are in the same website then they hacker will now get the customers logon info and use it on the main website to do customers transactions

I don't think any good developer stores clients password on plain site. the passwords mostimes are encrypted and it's a one way street encryption so you can never decrypt it as it is saved in the database. What is being done when you login is to encrypt the password you are using to login as well then use it to compare the one in the database if they are same then you are authorised to login

For some reason, countries that have dropped relevance for religion seems to be doing well even Islamic countries; this stuff you are saying we should ignore is our critical problem; is it not amazing that as religious as this country is we amazingly corrupt? People are using religion as a weapon for political gains and we all are so ignorantly defending what is wrong.

I will start with what I have: embedded systems skills/ioT I'm a full stack software engineer but like you all know that part is becoming too saturated. I started my IoT journey at the moment I have persons coming far and wide to give me jobs. I've been contracted by two profs to teach them.
Another skill I'm pursuing now is machine learning the core parts. Not the common web developer skills that every dick and harry can do.
Although I cant do everything I am planning on doing cyber security for fun it pays a huge deal to be a professional here as well. My friend was pain 1.5m to tutor someone and certification on cyber security/ethical hacking professionally cost at least 1000usd.
Lol 😂 I failed to mention networking computer networking. Most persons don't know how this works neither do I. But I know someone that makes millions from it.
People are learning programming languages like JavaScript and Python lol 😂 people that have that skill are too much guess what? I've learned c++( maybe cause I need it for IoT and firmware development) and now I'm using Rust ( another challenging programming language to learn.
Don't learn what others are rushing to learn!

Now these are skills that are very difficult to learn but I find joy in pursuing them.

One thing I know about sex drive is that they are a blessing as well as a curse. It's not something that prayers can solve it takes discipline that isn't easy to develop to have self control. Sex drive comes like madness that can only be calmed after the event happens. I don't promote sex before marriage but I think the first step is a girlfriend but it's possible you are a shy person that's why you turn to those sex workers cause it's like a transaction to you. But there are so many girls out there that are craving to be talked to. They need you I must say and seek after the 25 and above if you don't want much trouble but these ones might be quite professionals in the game so you need careful.

I skipped these guys in my first quote. I've met these guys as well. These guys have aggressive evangelism strategy. They migrate just because of the "gospel" I've had various from different African countries talk to me. They even learn a language just to preach the "gospel". Although I question some of their belief cause it's coming from their book "The Book of Mormon"

I am naturally drawn to things that people generally criticize and most of the time, I do find out that most of these things are not really what people say they are. People would generally hate what they don’t understand and that is the case of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. While growing up, I watched people avoid interacting with them and this made me curious to know about their doctrines.

After studying with the Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 12 years, I can say that they are widely misunderstood by most people. Do I totally agree with them? No, I do not but I share their perspective in some areas like the subject of the Trinity and Tithing. I do not actively study with the Jehovah’s Witnesses anymore but here are areas they have my respect.

First, is evangelism. Without a doubt, no other Christian set actively evangelizes like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, none even come close. As a Jehovah’s Witness, you are readily mandated to evangelize not just occasionally like most Christian sets but regularly.

Second is their civility. As far as I am concerned, I think the Jehovah’s Witnesses are the most civilized Christian set in Nigeria. Even though they use microphones in their services, you can barely hear a sound outside their kingdom hall. I think most churches need to learn from them on how not to disturb people with their horn speakers. It can be very annoying.

Third is their uniformity. I have gone to kingdom halls and many Jehovah’s Witnesses’ conferences in many regions of the country and I can confirm that they teach the same message everywhere. Most multi-branched churches in Nigeria are not like this. Don't let me start to mention names.

Fourth is biblical knowledge. When it comes to biblical knowledge, I haven't seen that Christian set that can win the Jehovah’s Witnesses in a Bible-based debate even though a lot of people will argue that their teachings are heresies. The truth of the matter is that no church is perfect and Jehovah’s Witnesses are not an exemption. Try an engage a random 8-year-old Jehovah’s Witness, you will be shocked by his or her narration of biblical events.

Recently, I was watching a video of two pastors arguing about tithing on Facebook and I was so irritated by the pastor arguing for why Christians should pay tithe. The Bible verses he was using as his defense were totally irrelevant to the points he was making. Jehovah's Witnesses are not like that. If you ask a Jehovah’s Witness a question he doesn't know, he will not try to be proof smart to you or beat around the bush, he will simply tell you that he does have the answer to your question but he will reach out to his superior for the answer. Trust me, he will always come back with a reasonable response even if it doesn't really answer the question exactly but at least it will sound very reasonable.

Fifth is their lower divorce rate. Of course, there will certainly be Jehovah’s Witnesses who are divorced but I am yet to see one myself. Do you know one? The Bible says, “By their fruits, we shall know them. This is a clear testament to show that the word of God is of great effect in their lives. Yeah!

Sixth is their devotion. When it comes to devotion, I rate the Jehovah’s Witnesses very high. A Jehovah’s Witness with an MSc can decide to turn into an artisan simply because he doesn't want anything that will hinder him from going to weekly meetings at the Kingdom Hall. One of their members once told me that he has never missed a meeting in his entire life and if I wasn't mistaken, he should be around 32 years of age when he told me that. Jehovah’s Witnesses don't joke with their meetings and that's why you will rarely see a Jehovah’s Witness working in the bank.

Lastly is their less emphasis on money. This is one area I respect the Jehovah’s Witnesses most. A Jehovah’s Witness will politely stop you by the road, hand you a book that would have cost you a lot of money, and ask that you give a free-will offering. Even if N5 is all you have, he will collect. This is not the way it is in other Christian sets where everything is for sale. The only Christian set that is a bit like the Jehovah’s Witnesses in this regard is the Christ Embassy with their “Rhapsody of Reality”. It will shock you that the Jehovah’s Witnesses do not take offerings or tithe in their meeting except a box at the entrance of the hall where members can drop their voluntary offerings. Sometimes I imagine how they can run their publications and the maintenance of their halls. I don't think there is any better way to explain the true provision of God than that.

In conclusion, I know a lot of Christians see the Jehovah’s Witnesses as a heretic movement or even a demonic one but I don't think so. Instead, I see sincere people who are devoted to God in the way they know best. Whether their doctrine is accurate or not, I just hope God counts the sincerity of their heart and devotion as righteousness.

I am no member of this sect but I always tell people they are first heaven candidates. They have better honesty scale than any other Christian sect. They are more trustworthy.
