Hello guys, I really need your advice because I’ve been turning this over in my head and I don’t want to make a mistake.

So a bit of background… I’m in my final year at the university, just trying to finish with good grades and figure out what’s next for my life.

A close friend of mine introduced me to her cousin a few months ago. He’s doing really well for himself, stable, calm, and very intentional in how he carries himself.

We got along pretty quickly and things moved from just talking to a serious relationship faster than I expected, but it has been good so far.

Now the situation is this… he wants me to move in with him.

At first, I thought maybe it’s just excitement and love growing fast, but he’s been consistent about it and says it’s because he sees a future with me and wants us to start building our life together properly. I do like him a whole lot , and part of me likes the idea of us being together in that way, like a real couple sharing everyday life.

But I spoke to my friends and they are not having it at all. They keep telling me that once I move in, it might reduce the chances of marriage happening, that men can get too comfortable and stop seeing the need to “formalise” things. Even his cousin who introduced us is saying I shouldn’t as well but I’m quite surprised because this guy has been so good to me in every aspect of my life.

Now I’m stuck in the middle. I don’t want to act based on fear, but I also don’t want to ignore advice that could save me from future regret.

So I’m asking honestly… what do you think I should do in this situation?

A friend of mine and his wife have been having a series of misunderstandings for some time now. He has asked his wife to leave the house because he is no longer interested in their relationship. The wife, a nursing mother, said she needed time to care for her newborn baby.


They had a serious argument, the lady packed her belongings and left the 2 kids behind a 3 years old boy, and a 3 months baby girl. My friend was shouting furiously that he would bury the kids, and even pointed at a spot to bury them if they didn't make it to the following day, that the woman can not blackmail him with the kids.

Both kids were crying seriously. I went inside the house and carried both kids, my friend started yelling at me that I should drop the kids, or else, he would do something stupid. Instantly, I became very angry and dared him that you cannot do anything, you are a heartless beast who doesn't deserve a child.

He went in and pushed me and the kids outside, then locked the doors and went away, both kids were still crying on my arms. I begged their neighbour to help me carry the eldest child; luckily, the 3 month old baby fell asleep on my arms. They live in a very remote area, so for me to get access to a cab or bike will take over 30 minutes of walking having no other option we started the long walk. After around 10 minutes of walking, it started raining, so I covered the newborn baby with my shirt. We saw the mother on our way, and walked past her she didn't even care.

While under the rain, the baby started crying, the mother couldn't withstand the sight of seeing her kids and me in the rain crying, so she ran to us and started crying and begging me to hand her the newborn baby, which I did, and she started breastfeeding the baby who stopped crying and fell asleep. Luckily we saw a keke that carried us and took the girl to her family home.

Reflecting back, something was telling me that I overstepped my boundaries, that I shouldn't have cared about the kids if their parents didn't. That I should have just walked away quietly. So I humbly ask, did I overstep my boundaries?

Nice job sir.. thing also is what exactly did the woman do that warranted the dispute. If it's infidelity then the asking the woman to leave is justified same for if it's infidelity from the man and the woman is leaving because of that; but then there I ways to handle it that it doesn't affect the children if she wants to leave we could just agree that the nursing child can tag along with her. Infidelity shouldn't be tolerated by any party because it creates room for more !. Even the holy bible approves that as a yardstick for divorce. Every other issue can be resolved amicably.

I have this friend that got married on time. It was because the woman was pregnant as at the time and the guy was still in school(200level). So he dropped out of school to become a full time husband. That was the excuse he gave back then.

All of a sudden, he wanted the wife back. I advised her against the idea, but she was bent on doing just that. Some people were telling him to take her back like that. The matter tire me sef. So whenever the discussion came up, i would jejely avoid contributing to the talk.


So to the shock of everyone, he brought her and her load back. I don't want to say what on my mind and what am suspecting and at the same time, i could be wrong.


What do you make of the situation and is there a probable expectations in the future ?

I think you are overthinking this. Race, ethnicity, religion all run in parallel lines in terms of reference. The white Christians still got some racist that dislike the black christians . So as some tribes dislike another tribe irrespective if they have same religious beliefs

The two weeks is what the tenant acclaimed but it's possibly not true. Another thing is properties being destroyed is still acclaimed by the tenant: of course rain and sun destroys properties but it's possible that all the properties said to be destroyed are false. Thing is if you have seen tenants and how they behave, it takes God to give you patience to be able to handle them.

Thing is two wrongs don't make a right. No landlord will behave that way if that tenant hasn't been a problem and a menace. For the man to head to court and lay claim on destroyed properties that tenant is evil. Only God knows how the landlord has been bearing lots of things. Nonetheless many landlords are deadly. But let's critically think this will you spend money to remove your own roof when the tenant tells you they are leaving 2 weeks time?

Women have short memories of favours given to them.
