Family / Re: 10 Lessons I Learnt In My 10 Years Of Marriage by Evolutionism: 2:56pm On Apr 09
DonDraper:

🔟lessons I learnt in my 10years in marriage🥂

#1. Men crave honor, not just respect. He could get respect from his neighbor, colleagues, even a stranger.

#2. Lower your expectations from the start. Fairytales are fiction and doesn't last longer than a novel or movie length, marriage is a lifetime reality.

#3. You would both hurt yourselves more than you could ever imagine, and your capacities to forgive and love again would be tested. A lot of people don't survive the test.

#4. The likelihood that one spouse would be unfaithful at some point is higher than the statistics... Also It's more likely to be the man. These categories of women would cheat (a) the unrepented slot (b) the unattended or neglected (c) the scorned. The second category are lonely, and the last category just want to get even. Try not to break the trust, it's so difficult to repair.

#5. Children are a blessing from God, but always remember they are the icing and not the cake. They would grow, leave and cleave. Let them be your common interest and love binder, not your escape. May God bless you with your own children 🙏

#6. Be intentional about fanning the flame of your love. It naturally goes out if you don't make the effort to keep it burning.

#7. If you two don't care about each other more than you care about yourselves, you are just flat mates.

#8. Women pls marry men you look up to. Women are drawn to some form of leadership and power. Dear man if you do not possess the one that fascinates the woman you are going for, you will share her eventually.

#9. Man, the only way you can remain the leader in that home is to be the provider. A woman can at best be a contributor, and if she provides it can only be temporary. Hustle my man!

#10. Most matters you take out to outsiders could have been resolved within yourselves. The people you are going out to don't have it any better. Your pastor is not a marriage counselor. Your friends are not the ones you got married to. Your parents have finished their job. Learn to communicate with each other, and resolve your issues.

In summary marriage can be Heaven on earth, or Hell. The way you lay your bed, so you must lie on it. Wish you well 🥂

Chux Nnodim

A wise street man doesn't need anyone to tell him Marriage is full of Baggages upon Baggages and it favours the female gender the most.

This doesn't mean marriage isn't cool and it wouldn't still stop most people from getting married.

Sometimes i come across some married.men i'm older than looking like they are my uncle lol. Some have grew grey hair. I will just be smiling in my mind.

Food / Re: See The N1,700 Meal A Nairalander Had For Breakfast (pictures) by Evolutionism: 8:14pm On Apr 01
Glimpsetv:
Without wasting much time, I was traveling and needed to leave home early. I arrived at the place where I would catch my second bus to the next station as early as 8:45 am, just a few minutes before 9 am. I decided to get something to eat. I am not a fan of roadside food or snacks, so I just needed a place to get something light and then get back to the park to catch a bus.

I finally found a small but neat eatery and went in to see what it offered. I noticed the food on display didn't look fresh, and I didn't want to risk eating microwaved leftover food. However, the snacks and chicken smelled nice and fresh. So, I immediately opted for a donut, chicken, and a bottle of water.

Yeah, my sense of smell didn't betray me; even my taste buds confirmed it.

My only shock was that the one donut and piece of chicken I ordered came with a whopping 4 pieces of toothpicks. I tried to figure out how much of the N1,700 went for the toothpicks, but I couldn't. Yeah, the meal was okay, and I think it was worth the price even though the chicken and donut were kind of small in size. I ended up having more toothpicks than the meal itself.

Well, I made sure to eat every bit of the donut, leaving no crumbs behind, except for the sugar sprinkled on the donut that I dusted onto the plate.

As for the chicken, hmmm, I chewed everything except just a few tiny bones left behind. I finished my bottle of water too. However, the toothpicks and the serviette paper were spared. Lol, do you think I spent my N1,700 well?

Op you should have added Graphic Content.

Nonsense!
Travel / Re: Finally Migrated To Australia At Age 48. This Is My Story So Far by Evolutionism: 12:29pm On Apr 01
Usefulsense:
Last year, I sought the opinion of Nairalanders concerning my plan to move to Australia.
My major worry was my age (48) and also considering that my net salary in Nigeria was a little over a million Naira per month as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in Onitsha.

Below is the link to the thread I opened to seek peoples advice and I recommend that you go through the thread to fully appreciate
the story that follows.

. I promised to tell my story after 3 months of my stay in Australia.

I finally left Nigeria on December 7th, 2023 and arrived the country on December 9th with my children. Today, I am exactly 3 months, 2 weeks and 6 days old in Sydney, australia.

This is not a hearsay, it is not an eye witness account, it is my story.

This is intended to guide people who maybe planning to travel outside Nigeria. Should you migrate at an age over 45 or not?

Those who told me not to go are right and those who told me to travel are also right.

Given another opportunity, will I take the decision to move out of Nigeria at 48? Have I made a mistake? How am I surviving?

You will find out in this thread.

To be continued shortly .........

As i am typing now.

There has been no electricity in my area and extension and if not Nationwide since Three Days now.

I have been running generator and switching to inverter when due.

How many household in Nigeria can afford to buy Fuel now talkless of installing solar inverter.

You clearly missed the part he said he has more savings by month end, and a more quality life than when he was here.
His a first generation migrant, his children will be second generation, they will have it far much better and easier than him. Most people migrate for thier children.

Points to Consider when relocating
1. Net savings after tax and monthly expenses
2. Quality of life
3. Personal career prospect and that of other family members
4. Life in retirement.

Lol you are very funny.

What concerns an average Nigerian with Quality Life. Beings who breathe in and out black goo and redmud dusty Air coupled with extreme Hot Sun frying their empty brains, Eat low graded and dirty foods, Put on fake clothes with extreme pungent body odour.

Most of these Babooons haven't even heard the word before talkless of knowing what Quality Life is.

You are talking Quality Life with people who live in SLUMs. Even Victoria Island, Lekki, Abuja et all are Upgraded SLUMs.

LOL. Be playing. Why do you go to work if not to make money and enjoy. He can save 4-5M monthly in Australia even after expenses as compared his total take home of less than 1M as an account in Nigeria.

And yes, Australian lifestyle makes you active even at old age. People of 90+ years and still driving and walking without assistance here because of their lifestyle. Someone in Nigeria is already too old for anything at 60.

Lastly, you stand a chance of securing the destiny of your children for ever by becomimg citizens in the nearest futher. The money he spent to relocate will be recovered in less than 6 months. Australia is not lousy like UK, Canada, US. Just relax, make your money and enjoy life.

In 2024, You are still arguing with Nigerian Lowlives lol.

I rate All Animals on earth above most Nigerians regardless of their social status.

To them it's just about the money, fvck and misplaced priorities. Beings who sees POVERTY and Wickedness as their birth right. There is nothing else in most black mens brain.
