Thanks boss. 1500w would be too much for the application. 500w or 700w should be adequate. What is the name of the tokunbo market?
You won't get a PSW 700w UPS. The APC 1500VA is the least you can.

My people, I am looking for tokunbo uninterrupted power systems (UPS) system with pure sine wave output. Is there a used tokunbo market for it in lagos? If yes, does anyone have a sure plug.
Get the APC 1500VA UPS, it's Pure Sine Wave and should be available in the tokunbo market.

A quick hack to the dust issue could be just lying the stab on it's side rather than standing it upright. That is if the heavy coils are well secured inside for that orientation though.

That way dust would take a very long time to settle in the contact surfaces.
Not advisable.

Please, anyone who has lithium Spot-welding tool for sale, kindly quote me.

I want to start building lithium walls like my bosses dollarnaira , officialfestus , pennuel (not sure I got that right) and others whose username is a tremendous task to spell out grin

Any local (Nigerian) source to buy reliable lithium cells will be appreciated.

You can DIY a spot welder.
Technology Market / Re: Diy Lithium Ion Like-minds by ewizard1: 10:28am On May 24
Wizyoung:

Yes boss, like placing two or more cells side by side and soldering the metallic connection at the top and button of the cells
You need cell holders first. Then welding.

For welding, you could either go for soldering or spot welding. You can get away with soldering the negative side but extreme care and right tools is required to solder the Positive side.

No sir, you are wrong on this one. Except it's a quack, manufacturers will not cross a bar on top of opposite battery terminals carrying high currents. they cross it between the terminals clamping the cells in equal halves. There ought to have been two bars in that pack, one holding each cell rows respectively. And the bars will act as rails for cells cable management. That's how we do it.
Would share images of cell clamping when I get them.

I noticed one of series was self discharging.
Others will be at 4.15, while the serie with the bad cell will be at 3.59.
For that reason, it wasn't performing very well because the bms will cut flow when the pack hits a certain voltage, I had to dismantle the pack to spot the bad cell, after dismantling, I decided to charge the serie that was self discharging via a buck converter connected to a laptop charger, then I spotted the cell that was bad, it was getting hot, Asap I disconnected the cell from the serie and boom the serie was able to charge to 4.15 without stress.

(Connected a multimeter to the bad cell, with a minute it drained from 3.59 to 0.2v).

That's usually the issues when you don't perform what I term "Self-discharge test"

Like I said previously, building requires patience. But I understand the excite-rush when first assembling . grin

Been there, done that.

Abeg make una help me look at this again, maybe na my eye dey pain me or some cells are hidden under that bar. If so, who would do such a DIY? Anything that would cross the terminals of a battery cell is bad, no matter how insulated you might make it. Except say that Bar na plastic.

That bar is a clamp. There are cells under it. Its how most battery designer holds their cells in place.

I see lots of that.

I didn’t change any settings on the app because I can’t even remember when last I made use of the app. I only noticed that the display on the battery was blank yesterday which was odd because it has never done that since when I’ve been using the battery and that was what prompted me to make use of the app to confirm if anything was wrong with the battery. This is a screenshot of the settings. I will post pictures of the inverter voltage reading when I get back home.

Why do you have 14S set? Should be 16

How is the msw doing does it give bad sound

What are the appliances you are using it for
A MSW inverter would ALWAYS give bad sound to inductive loads.

So my diy enthusiast wast the suppose cut off voltage of 3s li ion battery pack when connected to an inverter

A 3s Li-ion is at 0% at 9v (3v per cell). However, you won't find and inverter that'll go that deep before it shutdown.
