Reading these several Lithium vs Tubular takes... Sincerely, not everyone can afford Lithium at a go, but my worry is the way these Tubular now flood our market. It leaves something to be worried about. If not exaggerating, there'll be over 200 different brands of these Tubulars available in Nigeria currently and that's where a lot would simply sink there hard earned money on thrash. I also started with 2 pcs used Sealed Lead Acid battery few years back before I tried assembling a small Lithium battery for myself and currently see those LA batteries as simply waste of money. So my honest opinion is people going for these Tubulars should reach for reputable brands to effectively enjoy their invested worth. |

800V - 1000V HVDC. We don't want to start reading news like "Solar Installer electrocuted while working." ooo!!! |

dollarnaira:Firstly, the input current at such lower voltage would be higher and require costlier components. Secondly, the High side Mosfets gate driver might not switch effectively leading to shorting mosfets. I once successfully modified a TL494 driver based modified sine wave inverter and it worked. |

Searching for 12v inverters that would match a 3s Li-ion setup led me to studying the sachet inverter circuitry and I realised why. 1 Like |

dollarnaira:A 3s LV is at 9v (3v/cell), 12v inverters would shut down at max 10.5v; (3.5v/cell) "Any 12v inverter" would work but not efficient. |

officialfestus:Your best option is a locally built DSP inverter that can be programed to work perfectly with your 4S. No market brand 12v inverter would do. 1 Like |

I know quite a few of you here build batteries and know your way around these cells. That comment was for some newbies I see trying to build. Peace. |
Technology Market / Re: Diy Lithium Ion Like-minds by ewizard1: 7:42pm On Feb 20 |
officialfestus:By "Balanced Version", it means your BMS has a "BALANCER" integrated which could be a passive balancer. All I point at is "Get an ACTIVE BALANCER" BMS integrated or standalone. |

Love800:Inverter - A DC to AC equipment that converts DC power (Battery/Solar) to AC (Alternating current) power which is required by your home appliances to work. Inverter AC(AirConditioner) / Freezers - Appliances that consumes lesser energy and thereby efficient to be powered by the (DC-AC) Inverter. |
