Most women mistake the gift bearer as a friend, you look at the content of a man's heart. I realised that when you see a Man/woman whining on how terrible and beastly their spouse is, know that he/she knows exactly where the rain started beating them.

Any woman that claims she doesn't know who she married is either a liar or chose to stick her head into the sand
Right on the money jare.

I suppose bold all sef.

How are THE BOYS madam?

Don't let me vex for you o. You are reminding me . angry no bank holiday again till Christmas embarassed and the last one was in May joor cheesy

As for shoe and bag I think UK peeps outgrew it. There used to be a whole street dedicated to these shoe and bags but they are gradually just being phased out.

Reminds me of dem mumsi grin but to be honest sha they tend to be the best things for conventional iro and buba. However peeps (30's to 40's) don't really wear conventional iro and buba anymore. The IN thing is blouse and Iro if wrappers will even be worn at all and they tend to go with the whole loubotins or Jimmy choo and clutch vibe. Even in Nigeria people in that age range don't really wear them (Italian shoe and bag)again. And to be honest UK peeps tend to catch on Naija owambe trends faster than our North American peeps tongue cheesy
And I think you're right on the bold. You know I don't feel comfortable in skirt&blouse ensemble to any Nigerian Parties. Makes me feel too young. grin
Well ofcourse tsnot that I'm sloppy and all that but that's just my style. We'll get there.

Gosh where will I ship my owambe Italian shoe & bags when we eventually catch on naija's latest trend? grin

As for yous making fun of it angry . Not all of them are POINTY & hard textured. Those are fake. Italian leather are soft and cushioned just like those Valentinos and Kate spade.

Please I will want to know the opinion of people.
My husband insists I dish his food. For instance, if I set the food on the table with plates and cutlery, he prefers I dish onto his plate, that it shows complete service.i think otherwise because I might be busy attending to other chores. This morning he almost left for work without taking breakfast and when i asked why he was leaving, he said the service was not complete. So I had to leave what I was doing to dish food for him.

What are your views on this?
MY VIEWS?

*When a wife feels enslaved and Inferior 'serving' her man then somt'n sdefwrong

*He's not worth your service hence your rebellion.

My views?

The wife is in serious dereliction of her duty. The expectation is;

1. She prepares all meals fresh in direct accord with his taste and preferences
2. She sets-up and serves him accordingly
3. She waits on him while he eats - being proactive in ensuring he has all he needs
4. She clears up at his prompting - although she should learn to take non-verbal cues here.
5. She presents warm soapy water for washing hands, followed by a scented towel for drying - he may prefer you to dry, verify this.
6. She should thank him for allowing her to be of service
7. She should make enquiry as to how she could have improved the service

I also think he's a bit slack for permitting this slovenly approach - give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile. As for "having other chores to attend to", what could take priority over serving your husband huh.

Arrant nonsense. A woman that loves and is committed to you will love to serve you. All these side-chicks masquerading as wives. Next she'll be asking for you to consider her needs during intimacy angry.

TV
#1 ,2,3,4,5 &7 ALL CHECK! grin

As for #5, Nah. Afro Canadians will never provide an Octogenarian a soapy hand washing water. You walk up to the sink and DIY.

Good early momo morning from my Crib.

Ladies, what do you make of this situation .....

A girl has been dating a young man for close to 3yrs now and everything is going on fine between them.
They have been talking marriage of recent and the guy is too eager to get married to her.
She on the other hand wants to finish school before marriage, she is in her final semester already.
Now it happens there are so many "toasters" on her neck now and it's always causing issues with her man.
She is beginning to fear she might "mess up " somehow someday soon. Even though she never cheated on her boyfriend but the pressure is getting too much on her.
Now she said she wants to get married before leaving school as this might help take some of these men of her back.

1. Is her theory of marriage to push off other men realistic?

2. Isn't her summation not a sign of someone who is already "slipping away" and trying to get back on track?

3. The boyfriend suddenly feels she might have crossed the line already and trying to conceal things with her sudden change of mind.

4. Have any of you ladies witnessed this amount of pressure and temptations just few moments to your marriage? And how did u cope with it?
Bae when a lady is super fly , knows how to deck to T , always on point and forever glows (Total Package) ...toasters/admirers will always swarm even after 5 children.

The keyword here is RESPONSIBILITY. Sweetie, When an adult gets to a certain stage in life , we have to stop being irresponsibly childish and learn how to take charge of our lives because some people rely on our decisions one way or the other.

Begs another question; Is he worth it? Or you just want to get married to belong?

You shouldn't be under any absolute pressure whatsoever to get married.

Family › Re: Matured Advise Pls! by Ewuro4: 2:28pm On Aug 23, 2015
I wrote a long epistle for Mizmycoli's 'emotionally unavailable partner' thread then deleted it, because I know a perfect thread will spring up shortly and here it is.

So when you're not happy, and you go ahead to put your needs first aka selflove (sleep with another man), then you're Fufilled and happy?

What happened to getting to the root cause and at least fix it together?

There are 2 main factors that cause emotionally unavailable partners and these include; Stress and depression.

How to deal with them? What other way than to communicate in every possible way you can to reconnect again. Couples (even the 'Perfect' ones) get carried away in marriage and this is normal, Life happens. It is only up to the parties involved to unfold their arms and make it work.

Another problem is the indefinate wait for whom to initiate solution among the two , this is not a gender role neither. Be the bigger person please. Shows maturity.

...... Go on dates (1x week/biweekly),
go for a drive/walk /work out together,

send each other text messages everyday(e.g 'I love you' how's your day going? , I'm sorry bout last night, 'thanks for all your support babe' ) ,or even jokes.

Talk about the good stuff during your free times and don't be a debby downer always finding a loophole to start an argument over one stale misunderstanding,

learn to walk away during heated argument and please don't argue when your kids are around.

"When passion goes dry, find passionate ways to make it (marriage) worthwhile" grin

Hmm how do you like my rhyme? cheesy
