Yoruba will say if a kind gesture of yesterday is appreciated, you set up yourself to receive another.

Whosoever don't know how to appreciate should learn to do it. If as adult you can't appreciate your spouse, how will you train your children the art of appreciation.
Some folks warrant a 'Toddler approach' to grasp basic life lessons.

My kid will say 'you're welcome mommy' to jerk a 'thank you' out of me when I forgot to acknowledge her good deeds. They say it to strangers too just so you know cheesy

Wassup B, how are the gods?

My Dad detest it... Calls it a death trap after a neighbour in our hometown got burnt to ashes via it.

I remembered crystal clear how it happened , long story.

To answer OP Q ... NO, preferred the round & square green ones. Neat and simple.

Family › Re: I Dont Know What To Do About My Wife's Behaviour. by Ewuro4: 6:22am On Oct 10, 2015
Bellong nailed it OP...I'd do the same.

I too deliberately stopped extending some gestures TILL my spouse gets the message even AFTER few talks about it. This is no war, it's part of getting to know each other's likes & dislikes. It's called MARRIAGE. So no need feeling guilty.

Appreciation makes one goes an extra mile. so yes , it can break ones self confidence & sanity especially when your flesh is the convict that is hell bent on propagating the hurt on you and knowingly so.

She's amazing
YES SHE IS.
Well gotta give it to her, working 3 menial jobs is no walk in the park... In the USA where minimum wage is less than $10 in most states, yes you'll need more than three jobs to support smart kids in an Ivy League , esp. an unskilled immigrant like her. Good job Ma'am , you're one of Alisha Keys' SUPER WOMAN cool

Executives and healthcare professionals even pull 60-70hrs a week unscathed.... The reward is a.ma.z.i.n.g .. What's the brouhaha over 95hrs ?

This is why I never discuss gender roles and housechores utter crap... Get off your bum , work your ass and stop justifying poverty & how it's okay to wear okrika when there's opportunity for you to conveniently afford mere Ivanka Trump... All because you're a Woman. Sibesibe Na they (Lazy butts) still look scruffy and older than workaholics. why huh shocked shocked

May as well get yall hands dorty oh.

She's ONLY worried about losing her marriage, NOT her & her baby girl's self worth in the family.

That's just brilliant.

Is this really true about how Nigerian women watch Nollywood movies?

In the movie, Ramsey Noah is the step son of Patience Ozokwo(Mama Gee),

Patience Ozokwo acts as a wicked woman.

Patience Ozokwo plans to poison Ramsey Noah.

After putting the poison into a glass of juice, she kept it in the fridge.

(Nigerian girl still watching)

Nigerian girl: This woman is very wicked.

In d movie: Suddenly, Ramsey Noah comes back from work.

Nigerian Girl: (still watching)

"Ramsey please don't go to the kitchen"

In d movie: Ramsey Noah enters inside the kitchen.

Nigerian Girl: (still watching) Ramsey pls don't go near the fridge.

In the movie: Ramsey Noah goes straight to the fridge.

Nigerian Girl: (still watching)
Ramsey please don't carry juice, just carry water and drink. Then go and sleep.

In the movie: Ramsey Noah carries the juice, as he was about to drink the juice the glass fell down on the floor and breaks.

Nigerian Girl (excited): THANK YOU Jesus! THANK YOU Jesus! !

grin grin

LOL ... Very TRUE. cheesy cheesy

. This better be a lesson to the rest, Never u try to live up to anybodys standard, cause those persons set those standards that they themselves can't live up to. Always keep it REAL.
What standard sef? undecided

Food is the cheapest commodity in North America (cant speak for Europe) or better Free when you can't afford any.

I'm tired of eating rice , yam, even meat & chicken sef. They just don't taste same as homemade ( as in Naija w fresh organic produce & meat products).

May God help some generation from InferiorityComplex that's all.

Testimonies to share? Hmmmmmmm

As at 300 second semester in school, I was wallowing in 2nd class lower with a CGPA of 3.18 and all hope of making a 2:1 seemed to be gone until a friend of mine introduced me to nairaland and my life changed from that very day. I turned the romance section to my new turf and flirted with all the babes from morning till night. cool

I finally graduated with a third class and since then I have been in this plantain business. sad
