Our leaders of tomorrow.. No hope for Nigeria.
Akwaibom and calabar use to be one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria till cultism entered there in full force.
The problem with our youths is not bad government but cultism.Minimize cultism and see Nigeria flourish. Really? Don't you think that cultism is a symptom of bad government? |

Dbeautyy: That reminds me of Gbenga Elect during my days on campus. He can't even change a lamp-holder, yet he can cram Fourier series in Engineering math like tomorrow no go come. Most engineering student will prefer to do their Industrial Training in bank where they will be well paid to doing it in an organization where they will be well trained. Anyways, I won't blame them some of them need the money to settle their final session bills in school. You obviously don't know much about the nature of the job of Engineers. Bye the way, Fourier series is not something you can cram. It's something you have to understand to be able to use it to solve problems. So, if Gbenga Elect was good with Fourier series/transform, he is obviously smart. It's a complex mathematical analysis tool for Engineers. |

SoNature: The emboldened is false
Love is the foundation of marriage
Perhaps you have never experienced it before
Although many factors matter in marriage, love is the fulcrum
OP, don't marry her. You guys should see less of each other until you finally move on.
Don't get the poor girl into trouble in the name of love. Love is the foundation of marriage?? Definitely not in Nigeria. For the Nigerian woman, the number one priority is economic survival/financial stability. For the Nigerian man, the number one priority is physical appearance and character. Love is further down the list and most of the time, does not exist (for Nigerians). |

michlins: in this situation, you're told that she's literally your own sister. Where on Earth is incest okay. This is what happens when family don't communicate and tell their kids where their root starts and ends. If you like, pregnant her, she will still be your sister and it's not changing the fact that you can't marry her She is obviously not his sister, unless your definition of sister is different from what is in the dictionary. |
Family › Re: I Want To Marry From My Village Against Everyone's Will please help me by executive12: 10:49pm On Feb 21, 2020 |
If the only relationship is that you come from the same village (ie you are not related by blood like cousins etc), go meet some elders in your village and find out if there is a way out. In some Igbo villages, some rituals are performed to allow the marriage to happen. Also, in most Igbo villages, the restriction only applies to some parts of the village. You are allowed to marry from other parts of the same village. Ask around to be sure. As for the blood covenant, it's a sign of immaturity on the part of your girlfriend. Don't do it. |
