With how widespread it has been, I think it might get to Nigeria LNG
Omuka:
do you think the information gets to nlng?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 3:14pm On Feb 01, 2023
Candidates have expressed concern over the fact that some of the screenshots were being circulated on the internet leading to people questioning the process. Wonder what Nigeria LNG will do when it comes to shortlisting/interview or if there will be secondary assessments
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 2:12pm On Feb 01, 2023

Fair point, now they're more driven to japa as well but no school comes close to Unilag when it comes to drive cheesy
airsaylongcome:

This was many years ago so don’t take that comment to personal. I just found they were a bit to laid back compared to their Unilag counterparts who were more driven and competitive
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 10:35am On Jan 30, 2023
@airslaylongcome, how many people were invited to the interview/AC during your time? and over how many days were these AC/Interviews conducted

That's great then, were people able to choose preferred dates as well?

Interviews are rolled up into the AC right?

airsaylongcome:

We indicated preferred locations. And at the AC, there's no distinction between engineering and business grads.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 5:01pm On Jan 15, 2023
Can you choose where you do your AC, or does it have to be where they want you to be? e.g Engineering will do AC In port harcourt?
airsaylongcome:

Physical. Lagos, PH, Abuja (unless they change from how it was done the last time)

I see you aren't local. You'd have to come over for that. There were a few peeps who came in from London for the last AC. I clearly remember a PhD student (became a Doc before resumption) from the University of East London having her AC on the same day as I did

Travel / Re: Why Are Nigerians Japing To The UK When UK Workers are On Strike For Poor Salary by ExpertNLer: 12:01pm On Dec 28, 2022
There's a lot of context. One needs to realise most of the workers striking over pay are government workers. Government workers all over the world are usually not as highly paid as private sector workers - be it Canada, US, or even the UK.

Secondly, depending on the age, career trajectory and upward mobility goals - people can choose to migrate wherever they feel (it is based on what they feel, not what you feel) provides the best opportunities for them. Often, you would find people with 'good' jobs in Nigeria leave with optimism that they will get similarly good jobs abroad.

Just how in Nigeria there are jobs of 100k, 400k, 1m, 3m per month, There are jobs of all cadres in the UK and alot of Nigerians are doing those kind of jobs. There are several fresh graduates from Nigerian universities making excess of £60k a year in entry level roles in some of the best companies in the world. Within 2-3 years people are buying their first houses, able to afford vacations and grow their networth significantly while working towards acquiring an international passport.

As someone who is aware and across some of the most lucrative opportunities in Nigeria and abroad, I think people should explore whatever opportunities they deem fit. Just remember that opportunities follow a normal distribution, with a small percentage of people doing the very best jobs whatever the country.

As for the comment someone made about 'you can keep your money without anyone taking it from you' about Nigeria, alot of Nigerians growing their assets in the UK have been able to leverage ISA accounts as tax wrappers and effectively investing without any tax liabilities. Growing their networth year in year out

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 8:03pm On Dec 20, 2022
Confirmed with the HR person that was at their virtual career fair that those special scenarios can still apply.
But one application per recruitment campaign.

GT is a single campaign
EH is another campaign

Regards

stanisbaratheon:

Well, you made some good points but some of the positions in the experienced hire requires just 3 years work experience. In otherwords, someone that concluded NYSC by 2017 (which still qualifies for the GT) should have 4+ years of experience at this time if the person got a job just after NYSC.

So, I don't think it would be out of place for someone with the right experience to apply for this having applied for the GT. Except NLNG says otherwise of course.

NB: My advice would be not to rush and apply as there is still time to get proper information from NLNG concerning this.

Recruitment done and dusted.

Rejection letters already distributed. First batch have resumed this week with others resuming in the new year. It has been quite a ride. Goodluck to all.

dovestar:
Guys, I can confirm that all those selected have resumed work and their faces displayed on a banner at Total office. So, if you haven't heard from them by now, you can safely move on. Unless, like me, if you believe in miracles...
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Totalenergies Graduate Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 10:40am On Dec 19, 2022
Process have received offers, Piping have received offers as well. That is as much as I know. I reckon Economists & Finance would be receiving offers between now and the new year
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 5:40pm On Dec 15, 2022
Asking for 2.2 plus experience in oil and gas or LNG industry is not 'soft landing' - it is challenging to get that experience with a 2.2 so they value those who have been able to make an effort and gain the required experience to perform well in those roles
smartkester:
Please you guys should take a look at tje requirements for one of the experienced roles. I see 2.2 as minimum grade. Why do they give stringent qualifications for graduate trainees while the experienced hires enjoy soft landing.

cheesy cheesy
airsaylongcome:

While a nice suggestion, I would not like to be remotely involved in any financial transaction regarding this. I am already seeing a situation where people can then infer that all my advise about the process was for a financial gain for me. It's easy for people to start saying “Ahhhhh, so he was forming advise so that he can make some money”. So I'm afraid, I I'm going to pass on this

I can already see the headlines: “So-called ‘former NLNG employee’ hustles for £48 from potential graduate trainees”

Apologies my bad.

If it says server connection not available, you can try clearing your cache and cookies.

Rather strange that you are having a server connection not available issue. Were you able to see the job posting but unable to click apply?
shagari011:
We did, or rather, I did. We were only telling you difficulties encountered. The website server is acting up it seems because it says server connection not available. It was help we were asking for
No need to be dismissive.
Shalom.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Totalenergies Graduate Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 3:41pm On Nov 22, 2022
Correct. Wellsite and Reservoir were processed a while after other disciplines like process and maintenance
RaiStar95:
Even with others, I think wellsite and RE were part of the slowest. If you did only swift or just technical and you are yet to hear back from them, i think it is high time to move on
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 2:15pm On Nov 22, 2022
you people should read the thread. Go to job search on the NLNG vacancies site and then search and you should find it
shagari011:
Same here. Please it keeps showing the job has closed. Has any one been successful from yesterday please?
I am trying to open another account but even that is not working
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Totalenergies Graduate Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 12:29pm On Nov 22, 2022
For what role is this? drilling or reservoir?
RaiStar95:
Any one that is yet to get regret mail after the first technical exams, it will come. This recruitment process will most likely end this month. We were told during structured interview last week Friday, that the outcome will be made known to us by the weekend. Which they did. Those that were successful will be in Lagos tomorrow Wednesday for the Psychological. After that, the final panel interview will be on 28th Nov in PH, and medicals will the the next day. So if you haven't gotten any response, just get your mind out of it.

Guys abeg, how were you able to complete your registration process? Mine keeps telling me the application is closed, whereas it's meant to close tomorrow.
You guys should assist me on how best to complete my registration. Thanks.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria LNG Limited Announces 2022 Graduate Trainee Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 1:57pm On Nov 21, 2022
I think at this point you should focus on scaling through the recruitment and get to offer. That should be the main goal here. If you attended the virtual career fair that was the same theme. It appears you don't know the level of competition for this recruitment. Unless you work for a multinational international oil company (IOC) that is in the top percentile of earnings, just know that this is a venture worth pursuing
