Not larger (in all cases), but large.

Stonehenge, the pyramids of South America, those huge carved totems (Maui or so), the statues at Angkor wat (I think); those are all huge things, but who put them there and how did they do it? Some don't compare to the size of pyramids, but for humans of the age they were built, they are rather advanced.

The biggest mystery is that we can tell how we built the Burj, we have the technological developments that lead up to it, but how did these ones do it.

Just read the Stonehenge is around 4,000 years old and each standing stone weighs like 20 tons each.

How would an advanced generation go extinct? Without any signs of their existence, at all? No technological tools that explain what they did left behind?

Nobody really knows how the blocks were made and moved to create the pyramids. But it's interesting to see those large statues of the pharaohs. Who sculpted them in the middle of the desert?

Exactly, cutting, moving and lifting the stones and carving of those giant sculptures.

Some school of thought has it that it was the giant offsprings from the union of the fallen Angels and the earth humans referenced in the bible that built the pyramids. They seem to be the only earthly beings with the manpower capable of pulling off the technicalities associated with the construction of the pyramids at that time.

The only other theory is that there was superior technology at the time which would imply that there was a much more advanced generation in the early times that went extinct altogether with their know-how.

The mystery is intriguing!

The documentary i saw(animated), it shows how they dropped a huge stone block weighing around 10tons at the entrance of one of the burial chambers inside the Pyramid to stop grave robbers/raiders or generation to come from disturbing the sleep of the kings.

In their minds then, nothing can remove that 10tons stone block from that entrance, not even thousands of men. It was designed in such a way that the stone block will be dropped down into a sloppy passage to block the chamber. So pulling out will be impossible.

Thousands of years later, men designed machines/cranes that can lift materials/objects weighing up to 20,000tons.

Saw a documentary sometimes ago, the surface of stone blocks inside the Pyramid are as smooth as today's floor tiles. Polished and aligned perfectly.

The construction and purpose of the Pyramid with the Sphinx remains mystery.

Wish one could go back in time for a month with a camera to document the construction and interview the engineers, workers then the pharaoh.

The Great Pyramid in Egypt is around 4,600 years old.

Listed among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the only that have survived into modernity and also one of the most amazing Engineering feat in history (with Great wall of China).

Completed around 2560 BC, the Great Pyramid stands at 147 metres tall and took over 20 years to build.

It was the tallest man-made structure on earth for about 3,800 years until the completion of the Lincoln Cathedral in 1311 CE.

It's believed that the Great Pyramid was constructed to house the remains of the deceased Pharaohs who ruled over the Ancient Egypt.

Around 2.5 million stone blocks were used, cut, moved and positioned in place to construct this Pyramid.

Each stone block weighs between 2 - 15 tons.

The granite block stones were quarried from Aswan, over 525miles away from the site.

50 bags of cements makes 2.5 tons (least weight of the block stones)

Questions:

How were they able to lift, pull, and transport over 2.5million stone blocks from 525miles away to the site(No trucks, crane)?

Each stone block is weighing atleast 2.5tons while some weighs about 15tons and they were cut perfectly in block shape using what, chisel and hammer huh

At the site, the heavy 2.5million stone blocks were arranged in layers, blocks on blocks, lifted, pulled up, till it formed the Pyramids rising over 140meters high, using what, ropes huh

At 100meters, workers/engineers will be sending/pulling more stone blocks using equipments we don't know huh
