One of Colombia's top drugs lord, police found $19 million in cash under the floor boards of a house, bringing the total of his money seized to £40 million in dollars, euros and gold bars.

"We found two metal trunks buried under the floor and covered with concrete and tiles,"said Police General Oscar Naranjo.

The general is involved in a war to the death with the last of Colombia's great drug cartels, that of Norte Del Valle.

Inside the trunks were vacuum packed bricks of $100 bills totalling $19 million, the fifth such stash found in Cali over the last month.

The cash was found inside a Westborough apartment by investigators who had tailed a Brazilian man from New York.

Cleber Rene Rizerio Rocha, 28, was charged with conspiring to commit money laundering.

He could spend up to 20 years in prison.

In 2016, a brother and sister were arrested after police seized $24 million in cash and drugs from their Miami home.


Luis Hernandez-Gonzalez, 44, and Salma Hernandez, 32, were both taken into custody after police found the huge haul of cash in their Florida property.


The money, that was believed to have been made peddling marijuana, was divided into $100 bills and stashed in orange heat-sealed buckets with Home Depot labels.


In the hidden room, there were drugs and guns.

4. $43 Million In Cash Found In Nigerian Apartment.



April, 2017, Nigeria's anti-graft agency seized over $43 million in cash during a raid on a Lagos apartment in what it hailed as a victory for President Muhammadu Buhari's war on corruption following a string of setbacks.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said in a statement issued that it discovered the "humongous" amount of money in an apartment in Ikoyi, an upscale district of Lagos.

EFCC operatives found $43.4 million along with £27,800 ($34,807) and 23.2 million naira ($73,301) in the seventh floor apartment after a tip-off from a person who noticed "suspicious movement of bags in and out of aparticular apartment in the building."

"She comes looking haggard, with dirty clothes, but her skin didn't quite match her appearance, perhaps a disguise," said the anonymous source quoted in the EFCC statement.

The money, kept immaculate in sealed plastic wrappers, was hidden in filing cabinets and behind hidden panels in a wardrobe.

3. Columbia Cash Seizure, $50 million.




The American DEA routinely works with the Colombian police to raid known drug lords, and terrorists.

This was a big raid that the US helped with.

Part of the money, around 13 million was even found in one of the criminals homes in a china cabinet.

It’s nice to know that the DEA is working with other countries to stop the influx of drugs coming in.

Archaeologists are puzzled why she is the only adult female found in the necropolis, and had earlier thought this was an all male burial ground.

It could mean she was an elite member of her society.

A small baby found in a grave nearby also probably female is not believed to be related to this middle ages mummy.

Her impressive eyelashes and teeth are immaculately preserved as is her full head of hair.




The green tinge on her face is from the fragments of a copper kettle apparently intended to protect her as she journeyed to the afterlife.
