Can one do landing formalities in Montreal cos the Turkish Airlines flight to Calgary is via Montreal or I will do it in Calgary

Also has anyone flown Turkish Airlines? Please what's the experience like?

Heard some airlines won't allow you fly on a passport with less than 6 months validity. They probably want to be sure that you can return on that passport and not use the excuse of a hold-off on renewing passport for not returning (return tickets usually max out at 6months, I think). I don't see why they should, if they do, on a one-way ticket/immigrating visa.

But then, it is advisable to renew your passport here before travelling to elongate it's validity. Heard passport renewals abroad are a task at the Nigerian high commission. So why won't one wanna renew here if they can afford to?

It's not a problem, you can wait till August. When you then renew the passport, travel with both. The Canada visa in the old one remains valid and your new passport covers the airline 6 months policy. This is what my colleague did and he's chilling in Calgary right now

I have gotten to learn so much on this thread and Nairaland in General. I just got a job after 2 months of Landing and I have so much to tell people. That would be my own way of giving back to the society, but I plan to deactivate this account, am lost between giving the landing gist with this account that is soon going to be defunct or using the brand new account I am just going to unveil.

To start with, nobody will give you a job on a platter, the offer I got I had 5 interviews for the position. The best way to start in my own opinion is to have an open mind and apply for survival jobs as well as professional job at the same time.

Do not allow your survival job prevent you from attending interview and dont be afraid to take risks . I forwent a decent job offer for the prospect of a better job that I did not have because even the person that interviewed me told me he knew I would get a better offer but if I decide to stay with them I would have to stick with them for a long time.

I rejected the job despite the fact that I did not have any job at that time, but today it was a smart decision. It didn't look so great at the time though.

Lesson 1 : Surround yourself with positive people and those who believe in you.

Hi, I had the same issue and ppr landed just as we passed the 6 months validity. We had to quickly renew passports 2 weeks ago and submitted both old and new.
Don't worry, booklets are always available, you might just have to pay extra if it's an emergency. All the best

If your passport will expire before your medicals will expire, you are likely to get an ADR for a new passport. But once you get a visa, the visa remains valid for Canada.

"Visa officers will not put a visa in an expired document and will not issue a visa for a period surpassing the expiry date of the passport or travel document. Occasionally, documents containing valid visas are cancelled or replaced. If a valid visa inside an expired document is presented at the POE along with a valid passport or travel document, the visa is considered valid."

Section 13.18 Valid visas in expired passports of the ENF4 Port of entry examinations (You can find it online. Linking pdfs have gotten me banned before).

You can get PPR by next week or way after July.

At six months validity, go and renew your passport.

Worst case, you get PPR and submit passport. If you get another passport, you can land in Canada as long as you submit both passports to the immigration officer at the POE.

Hello everyone, please I need your help on what to do after nomination by SINP.

I got ITA for Express Entry Category on Nov 23, 2018, I submitted on Jan 14, 2019. My status changed to in process on Feb 27, 2019, and I was nominated on Mar 25, 2019.

Since then I have been checking my CIC account to see the 600 points or to accept the nomination, but nothing yet. Does anyone know what to do at this point? Or how long I need to wait or who to contact. I will appreciate your kind response. Thank you
