I was only able to catch up with the Match at the 2nd half, and all I can say is, we played pretty well. In as much as white dirt's lost chances, we also did. Yall can imagine the super run Alves made from the flank that had Penaldo confused after he had been dribbled, I felt so disappointed not seeing that ball at the back of the net. My uncle's son is fluent in dutch, so when he got to the scene, he spoke to one of the police men that he'd like to hand over my documents to me. the police officer refused to accept it and asked him to move few feet away from the scene. after much conversation with the head of the police men present, I decided to tell him that infact, my documents are here but one of your officers (pointing at the officer) refused to look at it...( I lied on the officer intentionally ). He immediately ask the officer a question and later ask me to tell my uncle's son to bring the bag. all said and done, he checked out all my documents and apologized for detaining me. He asked if I still wanted to be transported to the U.S consulate, I said No but i'd like an official written apology from his people. He said he would do that and send it to the U.S embassy. He took down my name and passport number. in all, one person was taken away because his visa had expired..he was from Lebanon. I returned to the state, had forgotten about the whole incident, and about 4 months later, a certified mail arrived at my house from the U.S Dept. of states. gUYS It was a letter of apology from the mayor of the city of amsterdam stating that the incident involving his officers was simply a misunderstanding and that they welcome me back to their city and whenever I do, I have an invitation to the city's parliament.
