You better tell your brother as soon as possible for your own safety, then go back and tell your brother's wife that you have told your brother what she did...
Failing to do so, she would start seeing you as a threat to her marriage, that one day you might wake up and blackmail her. Then next thing she might do is that she would start looking for means to protect her marriage even if it means getting rid of you..
The President, Agbekoya Worldwide, Kamorudeen Okiki, has urged the authorities of Benin Republic to free the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, or the group would use traditional means.
Okiki spoke in Osogbo on Thursday during a peaceful rally held by the group, where it also demanded the restructuring of the country.
Speaking further after he had delivered a letter containing seven-point demand of the group to Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, in his palace following a successful rally on major streets in the state capital, Okiki also lamented the high rate of corruption in government business.
He said, “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal. We will continue to say that. We know that it is the Federal Government that is holding Igboho in Benin Republic, but we are telling Benin Republic authorities now to legally release him using their court.
“They should release him legally and quickly because they are not taking him to court again, or we will use our traditional means and powers to take Igboho out of detention.
sukkot: listen man lets just face the fact here, igbos came out of the gates swinging and kicking much ass, after independence. yall cornered the market. just came out like a bolt of lightening burning everything in the way. but then you got greedy, and in your greed you lost focus and didnt see the bigger picture. you consolidated power so you can have the ultimate power and removed secession clause so no one can come out of your power structure. but you see ? you didnt see the bigger picture. NO MAN HOLDS ONTO POWER FOREVER. and the bigger picture is when you lose that power ? we are all doomed to hausa rule forever because it is a majority hausa country and it is one man one vote. and so you shot yourself in the foot because when you lost that power ? its hard for an igbo president to emerge again because you dont have the population to see it through. and so we are all doomed to hausa rule. AND SO YOU PLAYED THE GAME, YOU KICKED MUCH ASS, YOU CAME, SAW, CONQUERED BUT EVENTUALLY GOT CONQUERED. Its a huge mistake you are going to have to live with. the rest of us are living with the mistake. what can we do ? i believe its time you people settle down and learn to live with your mistake and stop this agitation.
You sound like a person that came from a defeated tribe.. Sorry I don't belong to such tribe, because if I come from a defeated tribe I don't think my people will continue the agitation that's on ground despite going through a 3 yr solid brutal bitter war In the past..
If you are a slave that loves his chains... I am not
sukkot: can you also explain to us why nnammdi azikiwe fought so hard against the secession clause ? he fought enahoro and awolowo tooth and nail. meaning if you are unhappy with nigeria you can never get out of it. why would Azikiwe vehemently support such a document and then saw it through ?
So Azikiwe was a super human for his only opinion to override three people's opinion ( Awolowo, Azikiwe and others) ?
What happened to subjecting such opinion to vote ?
Mind you, some Igbos today still believe in Nigeria but when you put such opinions to vote, majority will obviously carry the vote..
seguno2: Since Ironsi did not plan/do the coup, he should have worked for the most senior civilian to continue as president/PM. Why didn’t he do that
You never know what was on his mind...When the country was in turmoil and every civilian official those days was looking for easiest route to run out of the country due to fear ..
Ironsi took a drastic steps and did what he should do as a military head by arresting the coup plotters.. The process of the prosecution was ongoing, northerners started accusing him of treating coup plotters with soft hand saying all sorts of mannerless things.. Before you knew it they had already ganged up against him and executed someone that hasn't stayed six months in power.. ( Funny that those that Killed him are not having a good time,Danjuma and co to be precise)
Even today it takes a lot of ages to sentence someone that committed a big offence ...
sukkot: I hold no tribal views. just presenting facts
Did u even read what u posted ?
We are talking of regionalism where every region was in charge of their resources and bring some percentage to the center..
Go and read the history of state creation which started with Gowon...
Mind you, regionalism encompasses a lot of factors.. Abolishing the regionalism did not mean that Ironsi is the one that ordered ordered all the recourses to come to the center.. It started during Gowon's Time.. Go bck and read what I posted... Then also read the history of recourse control in Nigeria starting from 1960 to date.. I will get the document for u or you can read it online.. It's all over the net
Decryptor: You see! It is not today that marginalization against Igbos started!
At least, when next someone asks why Aguiyi Ironsi carried out that coup, I now have a valid answer!
No that's not true.. Nig Military carried the coup, the then most senior man in the military had to take over like it's done in other countries those days.
The coup was just a military coup, don't allow these people to deceive you that it was an Igbo coup
sukkot: the truth of the matter is that leading the pack out of the gate after independence was the SE however the SE guys in charge bleeped up and created an environment where the north will rule forever. they ( aguiyi ) destroyed regional government and then they destroyed the secession clause ( meaning you cant pulll out of nigeria if you are unhappy ) simply because they thought they will hold that power forever. you cant destroy secession clause and regional government in a country where the north is the majority. one man one vote means they will always win. and so the SE bleeped up in that regards. they consolidated the power and destroyed the ability to pull out of the consolidated power
At the bolded...I hate lies..
Your lies and propaganda can never be true despite repeating it million times..
Before Gowon became head of state in August 1966, Nigeria was a federation of
1) 4 semi-autonomous Regions 2) Each Region had resource control 3)Each Region kept 50% of whatever accrued within it, paid the Federal Government 25% and the rest 25% went into a General account that all the Regions including the Federal Government could use for developmental purpose. 4)Because the 4 Regions were semi-autonomous, it made the centre week and prevented any Region from dominating another
Today, we have
1)36 states that have little or no resource control 2) A powerful Federal government that now pays the states 3)Fiscal federalism is dead
How did we get here? It was Gowons promulgation of Decree 14 on the 27th of May 1967 that caused it all. It was this same decree that forced Ojukwu to declare the Eastern Region a seperate country called Biafra 3 days later and this led to the war. It should also be added that decree 14 was a violation of the Aburi agreement that both Gowon and Ojukwu signed in Ghana.
Decree 14, abolished the 4 Regions, replaced them with 12 states, took away resource control, reversed fiscal responsibility and made the federal government all powerful
It was seen for what it was by Ojukwu and the Eastern Region, a calculated attempt by Gowon and his Northern cohorts to dominate everyone.
Suddenly, the North that was one Region, had 6 states while the South that was 3 Regions had to share 6 states between them. This effectively made the North the dominant partner
Subsequent military administration's led by Northerners subdivided the 12 states Gowon created, and gave the North more states and local governments than the south
Today, the North that was one Region has overwhelming advantage over the South that was 3 Regions
1) The North has 19 states while the south has 17
2)Of the 109 Senators in Nigeria, the North has 59 while the south has 50
3) Of the 360 house of rep members, the North has 191 while the South has 169
4) Of the 774 Local Governments in Nigeria, the North has 419 while the South has 355
This undue advantage given to the North, starting with Gowons decree 14 which changed the structure of Nigeria, is what led to war and created the mess Nigeria is in today
Nbotee: They haven't said anything yet and d zoning isn't for Presidential ticket
How party offices are zoned will determine where the presidential ticket is going ...
Why are they still playing seek and hide game in zoning offices despite knowing fully well where the ticket should go if they don't have a bad motive ?
Vickyvice: Na wah o. So even as tinubu was silent on killings of his people by miyetti backed terrorists for his own political gain, he's still rejected?
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) on Wednesday denied that it had endorsed the 2023 presidential ambition of former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu.
According to the association, the position of individuals on who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 should not be regarded as a general one.
MACBAN had on Sunday said the welfare of its members would improve with Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as president in 2023.
During a meeting held at the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute, Abuja, the association had reiterated its commitment to better the lifestyle of its members.
The meeting had drawn the Fulani leaders from the 36 states and the FCT, Abuja.
Ya’u Haruna, convener of the meeting and a former chairman of the Jigawa chapter of MACBAN, had said the association was paying attention to those who had shown their interest in contesting the 2023 presidency, including Tinubu.
Ezeama400: I want to know and understand why Igbos place so much value on Ancestral land than the one bought with money in this recent time/age ..
Take for example...A rich Igbo man would rather fight over a plot of land he believes that's from his ancestors and build house there to live, than buying plots of land to build a house of his choice inside the same community...
Is there any special thing about ancestral land than made people to attach so much importance to it ?
Again, Do people of olden days use to sell land to each other like this generation do ?
jmoore: If IPOB denies anything, it means they are guilty of that.
Living in denial is their forte.
If IPOB members are being killed, IPOB would come out and tell you their members have been attacked, If you attack innocent people that are not members, they will equally tell you that you have attacked innocent people like they just did now .
What would they gain if they lie ?
When Ikonso was killed, they claimed he's an IPOB member.. When Nig Army attacked IPOB during procession and rallies, IPOBS also claimed that their members have been attacked..
So what would they gain if they tell you that these people that were killed are not IPOB members ?... Always carry your brain along while on social media
philme87: Tundun Abiola, one of the daughters of late MKO Abiola, had an outburst on national TV on Wednesday morning after one of the supporters of Bola Tinubu's presidential aspiration made a reference to her late father during an interview.
Tundun had asked the Tinubu supporters to respond to the allegation made by a presidential aide, Babafemi Ojodu, that he has been threatened for not supporting the presidential aspirations of the National leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu.
Responding to the question, Ayodele Adewale said
''Asiwaju will never send anybody to attack anybody and if anybody has said unprintable words against Mr Ojodu, the onus lies on him to prove that that person was actually from Asiwaju Tinubu and Mr Ojodu knows that Asiwaju will never do that. Asiwaju is very forgiving, even people who have wronged him.
If you permit me, I will always refer to him because I preserve his history and I have always worked to make sure all he deserves is given back to him and that is your dad, Chief MKO Abiola.
It was on the streets of Lagos when some Airfoce officers slapped him and abused him. He was attacked by some military ratings. the Mad dog incident. Chief Abiola never raised a finger. He never even fought the military hierachy. He took it in as a leader and he forgave them''
After a short break on the show, Tundun expressed her displeasure at the guest for speaking about her father's.
''I just had this really insulting encounter with our previous guest and I am furious. My father is not the one running for President. That was in 1993. Why was he raised randomly?
That was completely out of order. I am completely furious. I can't even contain myself right now.
I would defend my father. In recent times, I have been nauseated by the kind of revisionist history I have been subjected to. Everybody betrays that man constantly till today. How many times can you kill a man? What does he have to do with what we are discussing today? If their principal has not done enough to stand on his own two feet, that is hardly my fault or his fault. Invoking this man....
What on earth was that nonsense?
Completely name-dropping. My feet are sore from people dropping my father's name constantly. Can you just stand on your own two feet if at all you have two feet to stand on''
