Lol it seems like you are not travel those men still on the road collecting money.
In the SW, not SE.

I saw uncountable number of them from Lagos to Delta, but from Onitsha to Aba, I couldn't count more than two, except army check points.

Politics / Re: WTO: Nigeria Is Number One Importer In Africa by EzeNri(m): 8:12pm On Apr 16, 2021
Efewestern:
This isn't new, we have been crying about this for years, unfortunately, we have some trained economists like EzeNri who justifies our economic waywardness by throwing big grammars.
United States is the largest importing nation in the world, followed by EU, China and Germany.

And these happen to be the largest economies in the world.

Efewestern:

Israel with a population of a few millions export more goods and is more productive than Nigeria with a population of 200 million, we have no single shame, what's the total landmass of Israel again? Heck, what natural resources do they even have?
Isreal imports as much as it exports and the former is growing more than the former. IMF projects by next year Israeli import would grow by 5.3 percent while export by 4.2 percent.

Efewestern:

There is something wrong with us as a people.
The only thing wrong with us is believing we will grow this economy by killing importation. We closed border against rice import, what is the price of locally produced rice in the market today?

Efewestern:

I notice the Asians are flooding the South African market with their goods, you all shouldn't go the Nigerian way, protect all local industries at all cost!
Kill every weak local industry and redirect the resources into producing those things we can with absolute cost advantage and then import those we can't.

Simple economics!
Efewestern:

Africa must not be a dumping ground.
Nigeria is not dumping ground.

Dumping means foreigners exporting those goods we have a cost advantage in and selling them at ridiculously low prices than obtainable in their home countries, and increase the price after destroying local competition.

Can you name any of those goods in Nigeria?

You Igbos and your bad belle for Yorubas sha. You don't even have the common sense to appreciate when it is obvious you are just hating.

Even Osinbajo, a Pastor, has spoken about his support for the unity of Nigeria. It is not about religion for Yorubas and all Nigerians now know that it is only Igbos who push that divisive notion.

Prominent Yorubas in politics and business will of course publicly support one Nigeria be it Adenuga, Oba Otudeko or Fashola . Does not mean they hold the same opinion privately and it does not mean they will fail to support it, unlike their Igbo counterparts, if it is obvious it is what their people want in the majority.

Go and chastise your own ethnic group where your greedy and self-serving political and business leaders are the most wicked and hypocritical in Nigeria with zero interest in what the average Igbo wants or what is best for him.

But part of what op showed is the milikin hill which is a forest not even a bush, Enugu that has no water to start with
Enugu sits on a mountain, atop a huge coal deposit.

The North doesn't have water while Ijaw with their abundance of water is not drinkable. We can pipe water from Ebonyi to Enugu.

I am sure you are in sifia pains because no part of your Ijaw is more developed than Enugu

Enugu was named the most serene place to raise kids in Nigeria.

Again, stop comparing Enugu was other state capitals. Enugu city is the only city in Nigeria that was designed to be a capital of a country not even Ikeja in Lagos.

Next time compare Aba with other state capitals in Nigeria, not even Onitsha because it will trump and dwarf them.

Politics / Re: Okonjo-iweala May Not Win WTO Director General by EzeNri(m): 9:23am On Apr 14, 2021
thebosstrevor1:
International politics is not a game of emotions. It is a game of real politics.

The WTO will choose their Director General On November 7 and our Nigerian Candidate is may not win.

Now, for you guys, endorsements is different from voting.

Every nation in Africa and Europe has endorse Okonjo-Iweala, atleast that is what the press report but people should remember that endorsements is different from voting, countries endorsed on self interest rather than emotions.

The fact that she is from a developing country called Nigeria that adds nothing to international trade gives her a 0.000001% chance of winning.

I can understand why she had to take a US Citizenship that is if it is true, Running on a US candidacy wont even help her case due to the fact that she was known as a minister of Finance in Nigeria.

The Likely winner of the WTO election will be Yoo Myung-hee from south Korea and that is because South Korea contributes to International trade, they export goods and services to the world. South korea GDP is almost 2 trillion dollars compared to Nigeria GDP of 500 billion

Also know that the candidate which the top economics of world backs will likely win the job, support from China, United States, India,Japan,Germany,Russia,Indonesia and Brazil matters but China and United states support matters alot.

Note: I have just learnt that countries do not vote for a candidate except if a consensus is not agreed.
