Alj Uche:
what yorubas were killed, is it the christian yoruba or the muslim one, please answer ?

the jos yorubas are mainly christians and there names like oyedapo etc which sounds yoruba enough

if any yoruba is killed in the north, it is always a mistake quote me on this

you rearly see yorubas fighting in the north, why

it is because before you say you are killing a yoruba man, you have probably killed your friend or family

why do you think yorubas are not dealling with igbos in lagos

their have been intermarrages for hundreds of years

Seems like Yorubas are bearing the brunt in Jos. I hate sparring with intellectual inferiors.

And it must suck to be fstranger. The hate in his heart is too much. Makes you pity a man with that much hate in his heart.

PDP is to be blamed for this?

Why not blame the decades of coups and military governments?

Alj Uche:
as i said earlier, the yorubas in the north are not easy to spot because they dress fulani but the igbos are very easy to spot

also a man named Kabiru Ibrahim can be fulani, kanuri, yoruba or hausa even igala or nupe. it all depends on if he tells you he is yoruba or not.

i even dare say the population of yorubas in the north are almost at par with my people kanuri.

you have not been to the north, i know what i am telling you

the good thing is that the northern yorubas are so well adapted to the north they vote like us cool
Stop peddling lies. Doing the recent spates of violence in the North, the Yorubas have been bearing the brunt of the attacks.

Even if they are Muslim. Why do you think the Yoruba community in Jos was complaining?

The Hausa to differentiate between Yoruba and other Southern groups. Or have you forgot about that?

The gas revolution will have direct positive impact on the Niger Delta and the nation at large. If we can get this right, Nigeria will be on is on its way to its rightful place: to be among the world's largest economies.
That is a very big IF. Our reliance on our mineral resources does not help improve citizenry. It only enriches a few rich elite. We should work on the service aspect of our ancestry. We should find our niche. India has call centers, China has a large manufacturing base, what does Nigeria have?

Since I see a lot of Nigerians going into the sciences, maybe we should focus in that area. How many Nigerians have you seen as doctors and pharmacist?

The Igbo on NL are nothing but loud mouths. I have never seen anything like it. When you have people like Ezeuche , a barely coherent 23 yr old residing in the US, holding brief for the whole of Ndigbo, I guess we shouldnt expect anything  better than the level of immaturity they display day-in day-out.
fstranger you have made enemies all over Nairaland. I advise you as well to shut up. A person your age who still acts like a little child. Have you no shame?

My youth can bring out my passion, but for you, there is no way to explain your little mind. A buffoon who did not even attend college. grin

Well I hope Yoruba do outnumber Igbo up North. About time. . . Finally Igbos are wise enough to not travel to the North in large numbers, because of the constant danger. cool

You are not biased, at least I do not believe so.
All what El rufia said was propaganda. Same as Tinubu and GEJ. They are using this to rig. I believe so.
And what was this propaganda? He has nothing to gain by saying Igbos own a lot of land in Abuja. Actually, he seemed worried about it.
When I've visited Abuja too, I didn't get the impression that the southerners there were mostly Igbo. Then again, there might be a bit of selection bias. . . that El Rufai 70%+ landed properties thing, if true, suggests Igbo must be many there in Abuja
Not necessarily. Just a few wealthy Igbos are just buying up all the land. I don't know what is up with my people and buying land all around Nigeria and Africa in general.

Thank you!
I have never travelled to the North but I can sense the same thing. I personally believe the yorubas are more than Igbos in the North but they keep a low profile. In fact, I believe Ssoutherners are more than igbos in the North.
You never been to the North, yet you are speaking nonsense. Go to Kano, you will find more Igbos than any other group from the South. Only in Jos where you will see Yorubas as much as Igbos. Even in Kaduna, the Igbos are the most of any South East group.

If you never traveled to the North, I advise you to be quiet. Many of us have been to the North and still have family in the North.

Jarus:
I also think the importance of Yoruba votes in this election stems from teh fact that Yoruba has teh least stake this time around.
Before, the Igbos(plus related minority groups in SS and SE) and the Hausas(and related minority groups in teh north) are always going the same way, perhaps since the NPC/Zik alliance of the late 50's.

So in 1979, the North and their Eastern friends(NPN), did not need Yoruba(UPN) to win; in 1999, the North and East, again, this time around under PDP, installed PDP's Obasanjo, without Yoruba vote(AD).

But this time around the two friends have separated and the war is between them(North Vs East/South-SW), so the factor is SW(Yoruba).

So historically, I will not agree Yoruba has always been teh beautiful bride because presidential elections have always been won without Yoruba votes in the past(UPN 1979, 83 and PDP, 1999). But for the first time, Yoruba vote is weighty enough to determine where the pendulum may swing.
So now the North and East were friends who did not need the West vote? This is something new.  shocked

Abagworo just shut up. You are not welcomed to speak on behalf of the Ndigbo. I revoke your privileges. The way you beg for recognition amongst other groups is not something an Igbo man does. It is beneath us and it is quite sickening that you have been reduced to this.

You don't have to agree with us, but you there is a certain tact you have to realize. Maybe you should learn from Chief Eziachi. We NL Igbos may not agree with Chief Eziachi on certain positions, but we respect his contributions. I cannot say the same about you.

Abagworo the Igbo efulefu.

Igbos re generally bussiness inclined hence they sold their political future, gud business indeed.
I guess you do not understand the political economy. Business and politics are intertwined. However, more money equals more power. This is common throughout the world.
